would like to know what type of drug this is how it used and are there any problems with it before i give it

Based on my research, Keycotuss contains the active ingredient Guaifenesin.

Guaifenesin is primarily used in the treatment of coughing, but the drug has numerous other uses, including medical, veterinary, and personal. Guaifenesin is in a class of medications called expectorants. It works by thinning the mucus in the air passages to make it easier to cough up the mucus and clear the airways.
