Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 121)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Rainbow , my husband home but it's not healing at all .He's going back in to hospital we think .Dr S is under scrutiny with Dea .Lucy told all of you .I warned all of you months ago this would happen .Yes mountain he has to pass patients on .Just have a back up plan is all .

Rainbow, I grow Charlotte webb, Harliqin medical cbd, not thc. you don't feel high just pain relief. Tom is a legal caregiver u can get from him.

You guys have any idea when you want to set the next meeting? With Thanksgiving coming and your husband sick, should you look at the weekend after Thanksgiving? Or do you think that's too far in the future?

Susie... I am sore and nauseous today. Just stupidly carried and used the vacuum cleaner upstairs... Now I just need to sit :(. I guess we'll know if this worked in five days or so.

My 8 year old granddaughter is in a school play this evening. She has a "really big" speaking part, so no way am I missing this. It's over an hour drive, but will be worth every minute of misery LOL.
I've had a bad couple weeks and of course as today is a "big" day, I woke up feeling especially awful. I'm trying to get it together so I can make the play.

Thank you Mountain , hugs back at you .I'm pacing the carpet there nothing I can do for him .I can give him anything .The dulid they gave he ran out .He needs stomach meds and the hospital hasn't wrote anything yet nor the doctor .

Would you explain to silly me what the procedure is, what's it's suppose to do and why does it take five days to know if it works? I know nothing about it and would like to.

The part about not taking insurance is false. Many doctors are getting fed up with insurance companies and the nightmare it is to collect money from them. The abomination forced on us called "OBAMACARE" makes it even worse. In Washington, I know of 3 doctors that lived in my area, and were my friends that completely dropped insurance of all types. They went to a cash only operation, and once they knew you, they would set up an account to let you make a few payments. Yes, there are some bad eggs that will eventually get caught, but to lump all doctors that refuse insurance into the "pill mill" boat is asinine.
And I am so completely fed up with the medical industry in this state. I have been to 5 doctors since I moved back here trying to get relief for my knee pain. I have had 11 surgeries on my 2 knees, and then both of them replaced. For so long, I was unable to be active because my knees would dislocate. I went from 260 pounds to 387. I have new knees, but I am still too heavy to do much. My doc in WA had me on a pain management contract that was working, and I started dropping weight. I lost my job and insurance, decided to move home to Colorado to find work and live where I love. I still have 9 refills on my Hydrocodone, but since Oct. 6, 2014 I can't get them filled. I now have Medicaid until I can get back to work, and I cannot find a doctor that will work with me. I am damn near ready to leave my home state to go back to WA where at least some doctors have common sense. I have X-Rays showing that one of my 2 fake knees is failing, where the implant goes into the tibia, but they won't give pain meds above an anti inflamatory. I hope they end up with a loose metal implant wobbling around in their bones....then they can see how bad it hurts!

Susie... They go in and burn the nerves that surround the painful area so that it stops hurting (hopefully). It takes a few days because everything is inflamed on the inside... So it hurts a bit worse right now. After the swelling goes down and the area is healed is when you know if it was successful. I just realized I had three bandages on that area... Don't know why THREE... Maybe they went into three different "nervy" spots.

After your drive this evening, try adding ibuprofen or aleve to your regular meds. It might boost them a bit? Enjoy your granddaughter!!

They did this with my knee that is failing. It worked for a while...but other nerves compensated for some burnt ones. Now, I have a dead spot....and pain next to it!! Ibuprofen or alive might work....also, my doc had me on hydrocodone...and send a strong anti inflammatory called diclofenac. That combo really worked well. I am now out of hydro.... can't find a doc here to help and my doc in washington said he will mail me paper prescriptions to finish out my refills....and then I need to find a decent doc here. I will miss my doc. He is a great doc and I considered him a friend!......now I just have to wait for however long USPS takes to get an envelope from WA to Colorado....and we are supposed to be moving Saturday!!!

Does anyone know of any legit work at home jobs?

I hope you all are doing ok at least. I have SEVERE tooth pain that has made me cry a few times but thank God i go to dentist tomo evening. I'm also nervous for that as i hate the dentist and always have severe panic attacks.

Dencolo... Try calling the dentist and explain your anxiety. They might offer a couple of Xanax or have a doctor they work with. Good luck!!! Tooth pain and anxiety are no fun :(

Thank you ladies. Anxiety has already started. I have severe anxiety as it is so with going to the dentist it's BAD. so i can still call them and tell them about it even though i see them today? Its the first time going to the dentist as i havent been in a while because of this issue
