Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia (Page 55)

Hi,

My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

Have you considered a methadone clinic since it appears the analgesia you seek is not for anything physical.Addiction is a disease there is so much help available. Eventually doctor shopping will have you permanently flagged for all medical care at best and doing time at worst. Law enforcement isn't playing games anymore with this activity too many folks are dropping dead of o d s. Withdrawal sucks but it beats the other alternative right?

New to Philly
The rxs you seek doesn't scream addict but dependence as you noted can cause seizures if withdrawn. The worst thing you can ever experience is withdrawals in jail. Been there 18 years ago did 60 days for rx fraud ( today that charge would have landed me in lock up for 7-10 years) that 60 days flush with cold turkey benzo and opiate Withdrawl was pure AGONY. Stop before you push that envelope too far you can never go back. Just something to consider there are lots of legit meds prescribed by good docs that want to treat you NOT EXPLOIT you with mind numbing agents.

I have 9 bulging disks been in four car accidents I'm on disability so don't talk of you don't what your talking about. I'm not a drug seeker, in trying to find a doctor who will help sorry I don't want 3 surgeries on my back..but thanks for right away assuming that.

Thanks for the advice. I've actually been in both for years for my anxiety & fibromyalgia. I'm not looking for a good time, trust me. Neither med gives me any type of "good feeling" Lol. I've been on percs & Vicodin before for pain so I know what that feeling is like. Yea it relaxes you & does feel good, but the stories I've heard, no thanks! I'm not trying to become addicted. My Dr's office I'm at now actually got my records from the 1st office I was being seen at so I just have to get my list of meds to take to them tomorrow. I'm also on cymbalta and gabapentin for my fibromyalgia & depression.

Everyone bulsh!ts..no one helped me either..check out cherry hill pain or comprehensive pain..also kaufman may help..GL and screw every1 else that couldnt help no one..happy new year

No one is assuming anything your volatile reaction is indicative of those afflicted with this disease of addiction.There is a valid reason why multiple specialist reccomend surgery other then wanting to get rich. Most qualified doctors have a waiting list because so many require surgical intervention.They make these procedures to benefit the patients quality of life,So there's no need to be in a perpetual opiate fog for life. There is also a reason one would search the Internet and plead for doctors to prescribe medications when surgery can alleviate the NEED FOR THESE OPIATES. Plenty of chronic intractable pain patients legit need opiates to provide them the quality of life after exhausting other interventional protocols.They are the ones who should be irate that folks doctor shop and JEOPARDIZE THEIR ACCESS TO THESE DOCTORS AND MEDICATIONS JUSTIFIABLE FOR THEIR CONDITION.I should know since I work with them daily and can uniquely qualify as a former victim and an advocate. So I know what I'm talking about...

Yo bro bro, I'm in a desperate need for a legit paint management doc who can help me out like your doc seems to be helping you out. I live in Rhawnhurst, Phila near Rhawn and Blvd. and I am in severe pain due to a herniated disk and a partial dislocated shoulder. My current MD prescribes me Oxycodone 30 mg; #120 Sig Q 6-8 prn along with Ibuprofen 800mg; but he wants me to find to find a long-term pain management doctor.

Finally found an old school doc that prescribes what I need for a legit condition (sickle cell anemia & DDD )Now all I need is a pharmacy willing to fill my,oxycodone and dilaudid ( since it's not really keeping with these new restrictive guidelines bs ) Anyone know of a pharmacy in the philly area?? What pharmacy did you go to? I go to Shop Rite to fill my meds & they give me NO problem! Only thing I'm in Mt Airy so it's on Cheltenham Ave.

Hi can you. Tell me who the dr is? All drs here in philly that I've been going to said they can't write my morphine bc of the DEA got strict they want me to get on Suboxone but I don't abuse my meds if I don't need them I don't take it. I have diabetic neuropathy and spinal scoliosis for my spine. Ty

Shop Rite on Cheltenham & Ogontz they are wonderful there!!! Stephani the one pharmacist is great! It was too early for my Tramadol and she figured a way if I took the dose from my previous script I wouldn't be too early so she was able to fill it.. they're a smaller chain so there's more personal attention and I love it! Good luck!!

Can someone please help I have sciatica,herniated discks,bulging discks,and clotting problem that I can only be pres ribed certain meds.I have two ripped meniscus as well I can barely walk due to these conditions please can somebody help me find a Dr I've been on meds for over fifteen years and my Dr moved to another state.I'm o ly fifty years old and I have to use a walker to walk .with this clotting problem I'm not allowed to have any surgery at all its to dangerous.
