I need percocet to show up in my urine for a urine test 3 days away. Will dilaudid show up as oxycodone or percocet? What will? ## I get Dilaudid at my pain clinic. I ran low so I took some Percocet. Will they show up the same in a urine test? ## I was looking for answers for the 2 questions regarding if taking a urine test, if Percocet and Dilaudid would show up as the same? ## Usually the type of test administered at a pain clinic can differentiate between the different types of opiates. Percocet contains the active ingredient oxycodone and dillaudid is hydromorphone. Percocet and dillaudid will not show up as the same thing and you could get in hot water with your doc. Sorry, I'm sure that's not the answer you were hoping for but just want you to be prepared. ## Thank you Jas...

i have to take ua for post prison and have a script for oxycodone and have some diluadid and want to know if i take them will they show up the same on the ua ## Yes, they will show up on your UA for up to 48 hours after taking them. If you have a script for the Oxycodone in your own name it shouldn't be a problem but if not, I'd suggest you get rid of it. Same for the dilaudid. It is only my opinion and I'm in NO WAY a medical professional but, you should get rid of them both...they are very highly addictive and should be used by those who are in chronic pain only. Good Luck and God Bless. ## yes but what i want to know is if they will show up as the same thing on a ua ro will the show up as different??? ## It actually depends on what type of UA they are doing. On the less e...

I was taking 2 oxy 80's per day 8 roxy 30's perday and 6 dilaudid's per day every day for about 2 years and was on some type of oxy or roxy for about 10 years. I became resistant to the drugs. So my doc put me on subs. I came off the subs and had mad withdraws. So I went back on them. Called many doctors online and through sub treatment centers. I finally found a doctor who said they are telling you to come off wrong. You need to do this. I did what he said came off and had zero withdraws and have never felt better other than mad pain thats will last the rest of my life. But its better than being on them dumb pills. (this is what he said to do) Take 3 subs per day for 3 months. Then 1 month take 2 subs, 1 months more 1 pill. next month after that take 1/2 half a pill a 4th a...

i got these pills, i was told they are dilaudid, is this correct? because i took one by injection and it it made me puke all day...if someone could maybe help me out and tell me why they made me so sick. thanks ## These do contain 4mgs of Hydromorphone, the active ingredient in Dilaudid. However, nausea can be one of its side effects and since pills are not intended to be dissolved and injected, that probably explains why you were so ill. When you do that, you are injecting all of the medication, at once and it doesn't get a chance to dissolve slower, like it would if you swallowed the tablet. Are there any comments or questions? ## You either a) got cotton fever or b) the things you used to prepare with weren't sterile and you got bacteria in your blood stream. Either way you...

I have severe scoliosis (I shrunk 4inches over the past few years) also 7 degenerative disc and really not getting much relieve so I would appreciate any information you can share with me. Thank You & Be Blessed ## I live in Canada and have been getting prescribed 8 x 4mg a day hydromorphone for back pain for now nearly 3 years. Often run out and reluctantly Doctor issues prescription ahead of schedule which ends up flagging me and the doctor in system. I do not find these pills helping me at all, and find i need them now if nothing else, simply to avoid withdrawals. I approached my doctor and requested fentanyl patches and got laughed at. I see pain speciali...

I was prescribed Dilaudid 2mg for the repair of an incisional hernia. Pain maiintenance has been a problem in as much as I cannont in the least tollerate even 2mgs of dilaudid. In the hospital was one matter. At home I was scared, felt on and off as if I were dying and very week to the point that I could barely make it to the kitchen to eat even oatmeal It would take me 10 to clean up a small kitchen spill because I was so weak. I switched to 600 mg IB and was chastised by the Advice Nurse for even considering IB and to switch immediately to Tylenol. My Question is this: Has anyone every been successful with pain maintenance with Tylenol Extra Strength or with 1/2 a 2 mg Dilaudid pill. Though sill soo afraid of Dilaudid. Thank YOU ## Dilaudid is an opiate narcotic, so it can cause dizzi...

I told the neurologist that I was allergic to morphine and she said these two shots will help you we don't allow you to take any more products here but only we can give you a shot and I can't prescribe anything. She gave me two shots of Dilaudid. I must have not been very potent because I'm still in pain. If Dilaudid is a derivative of morphine then how can she give it to me if she knows that I'm allergic to morphine? ## Hello, Stefanie! How are you? Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is related to Morphine, but not the same, so it can be tried by people that are allergic to Morphine, or other opiates. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and consti...

I was administered Dilaudid at the hospital last night around 6pm. Can i take tylenol 3 now? I have sickle cell anemia disease. ## How long ago were you given the Dilaudid? I'm sorry, but there is no time stamp on these posts. Can you please post back and clarify? The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications?

Why does Rhodes make different generic 8mg Dilaudid. I have had it round and now I have it with two P's on one side and an eight on the other side. And it's in a peculiar shape. I know they were bought out by Purdue. But why do you need different generic pills for the same exact strength??? ## Hello, Amber! How are you? Sometimes the company listed on your pharmacy bottle aren't the actual manufacturers, they are just licensed distributors. Thus, it is always best to go by the imprints, rather than the pharmacy label. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What were the markings on the round ones?

Our daughter has advanced stage IV double lung cancer which has metastasized all throughout her body. She is now on IV dilaudid for her severe pain. Works very well. What, as your opinion, is her outlook? Would like to know as much as we can about this medication (including its side effects). Thank you. ## Dilaudid is a potent opiate narcotic that is used to treat severe pain. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Not being a doctor, I really can't speak as to her outlook, cancer is much more complicated to treat and eradicate, once it has metastasized. Regarding the medication, I can tell you that studies have shown that providing such a patient with proper doses to...

the delotta helped my back pain better than hydrocdone , is it the same as in what harm can it do to your body?i have degerate disk diease and scholisis ## The name of this medication is often misunderstood, but the correct name for it is Dilaudid, it contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. And yes, it is in the same drug class as the Hydrocodone, so the effects are similar, but Hydromorphone is much stronger. Side effects may include: nausea, constipation, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## They pain control Dr. Wants to switch me to dillaudid how many mg would i have to take to replace 10/325 percocets 4 times aday??

I am a 32 yr. old female who is on methadone maitnance. I did 8 dilaudid yesterday and had a drug test today. Someone told me that dilaudid shows up as methadone on a drug screen, is that true or will I loose my take home status for being dirty? ## what happened? ## She likely tested positive for hydromorphone. No other drug shows up as Methadone because they test specifically for Methadone and the metabolite of Methadone. ## No it doesn't show up as methadone. It shows up as an opiate. Methadone has to be specifically tested for and is expensive. The methadone clinics of course always test you for methadone to make sure it is in your system. Don't assume you can use someone elses urine and put in a drop of methadone. Most clinics now test to make sure the methadone was metaboli...

I've been on dilaudid 4mgs for 9 years for damaged pancreas and now I have hip problems that are very painful, and the pain medication is not controlling the pain.. It's maddening....hopeless. ## Hello, Joy! How are you? I am sorry that you're in so much pain. It goes as high as 32mgs, so there are higher doses you can try. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What other medications have you tried? ## Since the year 2000 I was prescribed 180 60mg at a time of morphine extended release and morphine 15mg extended release three times a day each +184 5mg oxycodone instant release tablets per day. The reason for this is because I jackknifed a forklif...

can not get my didludid filled after walgreens did it last month and refused this month due to good faith dispensing?? ## Hello, Fred! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What other pharmacies have you tried? You need to actually physically go to them, with the prescription in hand, in order to find out if they carry it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## In response to above regarding Dilaudid prescription, the poster who first answered you said you must physically take it to them-though I didn't see anything in your post about you taking it or not taking it to them in person! I did...

how much is a lethal overdose? ## There is no pat answer to this, it varies depending on whether or not the person taking it already has a tolerance to opiates. If a person is opiate tolerant then they would need a higher amount to put themselves in any danger, however, a person who is not used to taking narcotics, would require a much smaller amount to achieve a lethal dose. ## I just took 5 2mg diluadid for the first time and I swear i thought I was gonna overdose do you think I'm gonna be okay im starting to feel better

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Why isn't the pill stopping the withdrawal? ## It is very odd to have gone into withdrawals that soon. What types of symptoms are you experiencing?
