i have to take ua for post prison and have a script for oxycodone and have some diluadid and want to know if i take them will they show up the same on the ua

Yes, they will show up on your UA for up to 48 hours after taking them. If you have a script for the Oxycodone in your own name it shouldn't be a problem but if not, I'd suggest you get rid of it. Same for the dilaudid. It is only my opinion and I'm in NO WAY a medical professional but, you should get rid of them both...they are very highly addictive and should be used by those who are in chronic pain only. yes but what i want to know is if they will show up as the same thing on a ua ro will the show up as different???

It actually depends on what type of UA they are doing. On the less expensive tests, they will only show up as narcotic/opiates, the specific types is not shown.

However, if they do a full spectrum test, then yes, they can tell specifically which one you took.

That said we, of course, have no way of knowing what type of test they are doing. It is probably more advisable not to risk it, especially since these are very strong and dangerous narcotic pain medications.

Thay use a 12 couple panel dip test where i get tested will they both show up as opiates or will one show up as morphine?

Dilaudid will false pos you for Oxycodone most times, if the test doesnt test fir oxy it wont trigger opi/morphine. If the test tests for oxy the hydromorphone/dillys will trigger it most times depending on the test brand. So if you have a script for oxy then you will test pos for oxy and have a script to show then you have no worries UNLESS they send it to a lab for a break down then it will show you took dillys.

I have been taking percocet 10 mg, prescribed by my doctor for quite some time. I'm in severe pain and need my medication. my pain doctor is telling me she has to do a pill count @ each appt from now on, because the urine test is showing there is no narcotic in my urine. i have no problem with the pill count, but i do have a problem with being called a liar. is there any chance the test are not being done correctly or are there other meds that can block it?

Mary - I've been on hydromorphone for years to treat chronic pain, every UA that I've done for employment has come back clean. I don't know if the tests that pain management has done show it or not. I'm trying to find the same answers as you. I plan to ask the nurse about it at my next appointment. I would also suggest talking to your pharmacist about other medications causing a false negative. Have a full list of your medications handy.

I have the same question as Billy, I have had a long term Oxycodone prescription and my last U.A. came back showing Hydromorphone, I have never even heard of this drug until these tests results. how could this happen when I know that I have only taken the percocets prescribed to me?

Hydromorphone is daladid and or morphine.

Not sure what could block it but my brother found a list where asprin, cold meds, other meds etc. can come up as cocain, meth, weed and other crazy stuff u would never think about.

Depending on what test they do they can detect the different drugs. I found out that the reason why my pre-employment drug screens never showed my Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) is because they have to run a specific test for it.

Your best bet is to avoid taking anything that isn't directly prescribed to you. Considering that a PO can and most likely will run a full panel.

I have stage 4 with cirrosiss liver problems. I am given hydrocodone and nucynta for some serious back and leg damage. I was in the hospital for a serious heart issue a couple months back. 4 days after leaving hospital, I went to pain clinic for my med refills. I was given dilauda-morphine-valium and hydromorphine while in hospital. My drug screen came back positive for oxycondone????? Which of the drugs caused this false reading?

Does a 10 panel urine test demonstrate the differiate from two drugs both opiates dilaudid taking three days ago and oxycodone at the same time but take the same day of the test in addition to three days ago

Hi there, I was wondering if you found out what happened, I'm in the military and I'm prescribed oxycodone and tested positive for hydromorphone, I've never taken or even heard about hydromorphone, now I'm about to get kicked out cause of it.

I take oxycodone an methadone, my ua showed that hydromophone in my UA, why? I don't know what that is. Can someone tell me why it shows in my UA? I don't take hydromophone. I'm getting accused of taking hydromophone an I DON'T TAKE THAT.!

Ray, I had the same thing happen to me, thankfully the total results weren't discovered til after I retired but it shows that I have a dirty UA. I have done tons of research and have found that in some types of Oxycodone, small traces of Hydromorphone are present. Talk to your Dr who prescribed you the meds.

I was prescribed oxycodone and it came up as morphine as well. Never taking morphine in my life i was confused and scared id lose my job. I spoke with my doctor about it and he explained that some off brands of oxy will metastasize into the same metabolites found in morphine. He wrote a letter explaining that to my employer. I go to a pain clinic because I take Morphine and only Morphine as the pain med. My UA came back showing I had taken Dilaudid which I have only had 3 years ago after surgery. There is no way it would still be in my system so I asked the Dr why and he said that Morphine can break down into the same compound Dilaudid does and give a false postive. I know it is the Military but if you can get them to listen ask for a test that would show the difference, which you might have to pay for yourself, but it might work and keep you in the Military. Does oxycodone show up on urine screen as hydromorphone? Yes or no? I took 2Percocet 10-325 on Sat. Will it show n urine screen on Tuesday morning at ten am? I drink 4gal water everyday as well. Or would the Percocet show up as hydromorphone like many others do? Or do I have anything to worry bout since it was only two percs and my urine screen is not till tues at ten am?

I have the same problem I take OxyContin 80mg and 4mg of hydro morpheme I take both of them 3times a day but when I did a urine test the hydro morpheme was not in my system and I no I take them every day so I took to more ua they still did not show up

They will come up different. They do urine analysis now days. They even test for suboxone. They can tell whether you used heroin or oxycodone. Get help ASAP!

I take 10 my Oxycondtin ER every 12 hours and 4mg Dilaudid 3 times a day. I will ne 3 days short on my dilaudid. Not sure if a 10 panel or 12'panel test is done. My question is, does it show whether or not dilaudid is in my system?
