Imean rapid insulin n long effect one, Apidra, aspart,n the grey colour pen insulins? ## Well, you've already specified the differences. There are some that work fast to bring your blood sugar down, which means they also don't work that long in the body, so they usually require more frequent dosing or must be followed by one of the other ones. The long acting are exactly that, they last longer in the body to help control your blood sugar for a longer period of time. The problem with them, however, is that they can take a bit to start working, so someone's sugar may rise for awhile, before it starts to bring them down. That's why they're often combined with a short acting. Learn more Insulin details here. Are you diabetic and using insulin?

I take one Zoryl M1 twice daily. I want to know the generic name of this medicine and if there's any other similar alternatives available in India? ## I take Zoryl M1 twice daily as well. Please let me know the generic name of this drug and if there are any side effects? ## This contains the active ingredients Glimepiride and Metformin, so that would also be what the generic is available under. However, I don't know what other name brands for it may be in India. This is used to help lower and control blood sugar in people that are diabetic. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes, flatulence and hypoglycemia. white small round tablet with the letter G indented and a break line on other side of tablet ## There are two possible ID's I found for this pill based on the comments of other individuals trying to identify this same tablet. Neither of them are definitive matches, but depending on your possible reasoning for having the pill, you may be able to determine which ID more accurately fits. The first possible match is Glyburide (1.5 mg); used to treat diabetes. The other possible match was suggested by someone to be a veterinary drug, as they found it in a box of their dog's meds, but, reluctantly have never found out for sure what it may be. Do either of these appear to be a viable option based on your own experience or medical history? I hope this helps!

I am 62 years old and am diabetic since 20 years. My doctor prescrbed me galvasmet 50/500, metffil vg2, novamix, mrtpure xl 50. I was treated for kidney stones in both my kidney's 9 months ago. Is this medication safe for me. ## In my honest opinion, no prescription drug is considered to be quote on quote "safe", as they all put patients at risk for a number of adverse or otherwise disabling side-effects that are often worse than the condition you're trying to treat. Not to deter you away from the meds you were prescribed, but if you're referring to type 2 diabetes there is scientific evidence that proves a low fat, high carb raw vegan diet can reverse and cure type 2 diabetes. If you are referring to type 1 diabetes, these eating habits may not reverse or cure the d...

Is two 500 hcl metformin the same as 1000 er ## Hi tam, Not entirely. While the dosage certainly adds up to 1000mg, there is still a big difference between immediate release formulas and extended (time-released) formulas. The time-released tablets are more geared towards 24 hour - around the clock pain relief; while the standard immediate release tabs are said to be more ideal for short term pain management patients. Whether you take 500mg or 1000mg of Metformin, the time-release effect will always outlast the immediate release effect in terms of longer pain relief (although some patients claim the immediate release formula to have a stronger effect, since it hits you all at once, per say). I hope this explanation helps! ## Only if they are also time released, since you listed ER by the...

I am taking a tablet of Galvus-Met 50/500 and Metride 1. These are very costly medicines and I am looking for some cheaper combination. are m350 injectable? ## The pill in description marked M 350, is Metformin hydrochloride ER (750 mg). When you inject this specific pill, you're also getting the following inactive ingredients in your veins; which is very dangerous in my honest opinion: carnauba wax silicon dioxide colloidal magnesium stearate polyethylene glycol stearic acid Some people may have found ways to filter these out through various processes (i.e. microwaving, crushing, shifting, etc), but I'm just offering my own two-cents here and wouldn't recommend injecting something that should be taken orally.
