I take one Zoryl M1 twice daily. I want to know the generic name of this medicine and if there's any other similar alternatives available in India? ## I take Zoryl M1 twice daily as well. Please let me know the generic name of this drug and if there are any side effects? ## This contains the active ingredients Glimepiride and Metformin, so that would also be what the generic is available under. However, I don't know what other name brands for it may be in India. This is used to help lower and control blood sugar in people that are diabetic. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes, flatulence and hypoglycemia. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I have been diagnosed with diabetes and have been taking Zoryl M1 once daily before breakfast for the past ...

white small round tablet with the letter G indented and a break line on other side of tablet ## There are two possible ID's I found for this pill based on the comments of other individuals trying to identify this same tablet. Neither of them are definitive matches, but depending on your possible reasoning for having the pill, you may be able to determine which ID more accurately fits. The first possible match is Glyburide (1.5 mg); used to treat diabetes. The other possible match was suggested by someone to be a veterinary drug, as they found it in a box of their dog's meds, but, reluctantly have never found out for sure what it may be. Do either of these appear to be a viable option based on your own experience or medical history? I hope this helps!

I am 62 years old and am diabetic since 20 years. My doctor prescrbed me galvasmet 50/500, metffil vg2, novamix, mrtpure xl 50. I was treated for kidney stones in both my kidney's 9 months ago. Is this medication safe for me. ## In my honest opinion, no prescription drug is considered to be quote on quote "safe", as they all put patients at risk for a number of adverse or otherwise disabling side-effects that are often worse than the condition you're trying to treat. Not to deter you away from the meds you were prescribed, but if you're referring to type 2 diabetes there is scientific evidence that proves a low fat, high carb raw vegan diet can reverse and cure type 2 diabetes. If you are referring to type 1 diabetes, these eating habits may not reverse or cure the d...

Is two 500 hcl metformin the same as 1000 er ## Hi tam, Not entirely. While the dosage certainly adds up to 1000mg, there is still a big difference between immediate release formulas and extended (time-released) formulas. The time-released tablets are more geared towards 24 hour - around the clock pain relief; while the standard immediate release tabs are said to be more ideal for short term pain management patients. Whether you take 500mg or 1000mg of Metformin, the time-release effect will always outlast the immediate release effect in terms of longer pain relief (although some patients claim the immediate release formula to have a stronger effect, since it hits you all at once, per say). I hope this explanation helps! ## Only if they are also time released, since you listed ER by the...

I am taking a tablet of Galvus-Met 50/500 and Metride 1. These are very costly medicines and I am looking for some cheaper combination. Mydiabetese Type II is monitored as follows PP Blood 163.4 Fasting 96.63 Hb1AC 6.03 Pl advise. Will X-met be cheaper and equally effective. ## No, the X-Met only contains the active ingredient Metformin. Learn more Metformin details here. But in the Glavusmet there is Vidagliptin and Metformin and in the Metride there is Glimepiride and Metformin, so the X-Met is not an equivalent medication. Learn more Vidagliptin details here. are m350 injectable? ## The pill in description marked M 350, is Metformin hydrochloride ER (750 mg). When you inject this specific pill, you're also getting the following inactive ingredients in your veins; which is very dangerous in my honest opinion: carnauba wax silicon dioxide colloidal magnesium stearate polyethylene glycol stearic acid Some people may have found ways to filter these out through various processes (i.e. microwaving, crushing, shifting, etc), but I'm just offering my own two-cents here and wouldn't recommend injecting something that should be taken orally.

I can/T swallow the pill Janumet 50/1000 can this be crushed safely. ## As long as you don't have the time released formulation, which is called Janumet XR, then yes, you can crush or cut the pill to make it easier to swallow. Learn more Janumet details here. It is not safe to do so with the time released Janumet XR, because it may cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. my doctor prescribed metformin 500 mg to take 2 tablets twice a day isnt that a bit much? also i am supposed to take a shot of lantus solostar no. 6 at bedtime both are supposed to be for my diabetes isnt this abit much/ ## No, there are people who are prescribed much higher doses, it really depends on how severely your blood sugar levels are out of control. If, at a later time, your blood sugar level has come down and is doing better, your dosage can be lowered, or if this dosage doesn't work, it can be raised even higher or other medications added. Learn more Metformin details here. Usually, someone is prescribed a higher dosage, at first, to bring their blood sugar down safely, but as fast as possible, because the longer it's elevated, the higher the risk of organ damage, ner...

what long term damage can glyburide 10 mg daily drug do to the body organs after using it 3-4 years, what are the signs and symptoms. Metformin, same as above what damage can be done to the body organs, what are the signs and symptoms 1,000 mg daily ## Well, since most medications are processed through the liver, there is some risk of suffering damage from taking them, but that applies to about 98% of the drugs on the market, not just these ones. And, in reality, the risks of organ damage to you would be far, far greater if you didn't take them and let your diabetes continue out of control, because the high blood sugar levels can burn out your organs, the liver, heart and kidneys. i am a type 2 diabetic and I also have MS. My doctor prescribed metanx but it is too exspensive so is there an alternative. ## Go to swansonvitamins.com Folate $4.99, methylcobalamin sublingual $9.99 two month supply, P-5-P b6 around $6 about a 2 month supply. You need the b's in this active form and a bottle of TMG helps convert it over for $4.49. You should consider getting tested for MTHFR which metanx is used to treat. It has a huge connection to MS. I no longer have the lesions after an MTHFR protocol. Check out mthfr.net and mthfrsupport.com These forms of b's help break down homocysteine in the body. Many people on oral diabetic medication that have neuropathy have MTHFR. Drugs such as metaformin reduce active b's in people and with MTHFR you are already working on po...

i have been prescribed metadoze ipr 500( metformin) and montair lc ( montelukast sodium ) tablets after i was diagnosed with high sugar. if i discontinue the medication, i get an itching sensation. is the itching sensation a side effect of the medicines or is it due to sugar levels? ## It's rather difficult to say, it could be due to a sudden withdrawal of them, or nerve damage from the diabetes.
