The pill is round, white with an "M" on one side and 034 on the other. Is this Metformin and who is the manufacturer? Thank you. ## The closest match I'm finding to your description, is a white round pill marked with "M" on one side and "34" on the other; minus the "0". It's identified as Anastrozole 1 mg. Manufacturer: Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00378-6034 Anastrozole is used to treat breast cancer after surgery and for metastases in both pre and post-menopausal women. Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor, which means that it interrupts a critical step in the body's synthesis of estrogen. Some breast cancer cells require estrogen to grow, and eliminating estrogen suppresses their growth. Does this sound like a possi...
I am confused as to why doctors are pushing byetta when it can cause major problems with pancreas and also kidneys and maybe thyroid cancer (in mice) ? It seems to me I am better off using short term insulin and not dealing with all the other issues. ## Many doctors today are only pushing drugs that are covered by insurance companies and nothing else, and I think it is because this is how doctor's make their money. If you even mention to them an alternative that works just as well or better, it's as if you're speaking another language, since it doesn't put any more money in their pocket. There has been scientific evidence for a quite a while now, demonstrating how Diabetes type 2 is caused by an excess of fat in the bloodstream, which then causes unstable blood glucose l...
Can I use GLIZET(500 mg-Gliclazide Metformin Hydrochloride Tablet) instead of glycinorm-M80 BD? ## From what I'm finding, Glyset actually contains Miglitol, not Metformin and Gliclazide, so they aren't the same medications. Learn more Glyset details here. Learn more Metformin details here. Learn more Gliclazide details here. Which one were you told you should use?
is it pedivit forte capsule can be use to cure diabetes? ## There is no cure for diabetes. If you have it, it is a condition that you will have to carefully manage for the rest of your life. There are medications that can help, along with diet and lifestyle changes, but it will never be cured and will never go away. Pedicit Forte is just a multivitamin nutritional supplement, so it isn't going to cure diabetes, nor will it control your blood sugar to help manage it. Learn more vitamin details here. Who told you that it would cure it?

are there any small diabetic pills or powders or liquids for people who have difficulty swallowing large pills? ## Not to sway off-topic or anything but if you have type-2 Diabetes, have you ever been aware that it can actually be reversed and cured by changing your diet? There has been scientific evidence for a while now, demonstrating how Diabetes type 2 is caused by an excess of fat in the bloodstream, which then causes unstable blood glucose levels, an over-production of insulin,
and an over-working of the pancreas. The simple approach that is suggested is to eat a very low fat diet that is high in "natural" sugar and moderate amounts of protein. This ideally comes from eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, with the occasional nuts and seeds. I wou...

i have been taking meformin for a month and i have headach all the time is rhere anything i can do or take to stope the headach ## To answer your first question regarding "What is Metformin"; Metformin is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Metformin is in a class of drugs called biguanides. Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. As far as the ...

Please Help ## There are some assistance programs that will help with almost any medication they can, rather than a specific one, such as pparx.org, has he tried applying with them? ## i too have been trying to find patient assistance. What i found is a company directly affiliatted with the manufacturing company of Metanx. It is as follows; Brand Direct Sales 1-866-331-6440 Priceof Metanx 2 tablets per day (60 tbl) is $48 per month or $144 for 3 months (180 tbs) ## Another vote for Brand Direct here. ## None of the programs including those listed distribute Mentanx as it is technically of food product rather than a medicine, even though it is available only with a pre...

side effects ## I believe what you are referring to is Metformin, the generic version of the diabetes drug Glucophage, here's the monograph info with side effects: Metformin Info Click Here ## My husband (55 years old) just started using Metformine this past week due to a glucose of 134 (A1 of 7.4) and within a couple of days, what he thinks is a re-occurance of gout has kicked in. Started in his heal and now in his ankle. He has not had a gout attack this painful in many years. Can there be any chance that this medication could have initiated this? ## Then would the lactic acidosis trigger the gout?
I find approximately 20 to 30 minutes after taking Glucophage or Metformin I am extremely hot, as in bad hot flashes. I am wondering if this is happening to anyone else? ## Hmm.. I Feel Fine During My Dosage. Any Other Unusual Side Effects Your Having?? ## My DR increased my dose and I have terrible bouts of nausea. Will this go away and how can I make it stop? ## Rhapsody, I suggest speaking to your doctor about this issue, that way you can rule out any other possible causes and see what you may need to do or what you can safely take with your medications to reduce the nausea. ## Yes, I have had this.
