I am Type-2 Diabetic patient aged 58 yrs. I am taking Humusulin 30/70 injection everyday with metformin group tablets 1500mg everyday. Is there any substitute for the injection? ## I am a diabetic Type-2 patient taking Humusulin 30/70 injection 38/28ml twice daily alongwith metform group tablets 1000mg once daily. The pill is round, white with an "M" on one side and 034 on the other. Is this Metformin and who is the manufacturer? I am confused as to why doctors are pushing byetta when it can cause major problems with pancreas and also kidneys and maybe thyroid cancer (in mice) ? It seems to me I am better off using short term insulin and not dealing with all the other issues. ## Many doctors today are only pushing drugs that are covered by insurance companies and nothing else, and I think it is because this is how doctor's make their money. If you even mention to them an alternative that works just as well or better, it's as if you're speaking another language, since it doesn't put any more money in their pocket. Can I use GLIZET(500 mg-Gliclazide Metformin Hydrochloride Tablet) instead of glycinorm-M80 BD? ## From what I'm finding, Glyset actually contains Miglitol, not Metformin and Gliclazide, so they aren't the same medications. is it pedivit forte capsule can be use to cure diabetes? ## There is no cure for diabetes. If you have it, it is a condition that you will have to carefully manage for the rest of your life. There are medications that can help, along with diet and lifestyle changes, but it will never be cured and will never go away. Hi, I am Diabetic with Blood Sugar (Fasting) - 105mgs/dl & Blood Sugar (Post Food) - 169mgs/dl. My HDL is 58mgs/dl & LDL is 136mgs/dl. The Triglycerides is 195 mgs/dl. I am also having High Blood Pressure of 170/100. I had been suggested for GLIMMY 4 for Diabetes; REPACE 50 for High BP and AZTOR 20 for Cholesterol. I have been taking these 3 tablets for almost 4 months and my Body weight slowly increased by 10 KG over these 4 months. in my recent consultation with another MD was revealed that consuming GLIMMY 4 alone would sure result in increase of body weight and affect the secretion in the pancreas. Started in his heal and now in his ankle. He has not had a gout attack this painful in many years. Can there be any chance that this medication could have initiated this? ## Then would the lactic acidosis trigger the gout?
