looking for any information on this drug used for type 2 diabetic it's supposed to be a new drug ## Hello, Dennis! How are you? What specific information were you seeking? It is recommended for people that need improvement in their A1C, who may benefit from weight reduction and reduced blood pressure. It works with the body to flush sugar away via urine. My dad have hyper diabetes.... He HV glycomt gp 4 fort twice a day but sugar not controlled..... 400 to 500 it become .....how much time it take to work in body.....he HV advog m 0.3 also twice a day.....pls and how much time it take ## Hi.. his doctor would be the right person to guide you further in this case. Consulting online for diabetes will never work or it might turn dangerous. His dr will take his history clearly, disease nature, past control, current level, his past record of responsiveness to medicines, risk of hypoglycemia and many more other factors to rx suitable medicine for him. 500 mg/dl is too high - hence pls consult a dr immediately without any further delay. Any further delay will affect increase complications.

I have been experiencing leg weakness and take 25mg HCTZ. I have controlled diabetes. My ankles hurt and feel as though blood flow is not there. Can this be a side effect? Is this the start of PAD? ## Hello, Pollyanna! How are you? Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that's used to remove excess fluid from the body, so the symptoms you're experiencing may be due to dehydration, if you're not taking in enough fluid to make up for what this medication removes. Are you on any other medications? How much liquid do you take in each day, not including caffeinated beverages or alcohol?

Taking it due to norophothy in my feet and legs sometime I can not walk because of pain from being a diabetic. ## Hello, Marjorie! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Metanx is considered a medical food, since it is just a supplement. Has it been helping you? How long have you been taking it?

I have been taking normal metformin (1000mg per day) since April 2014. It had a strong GI effect on me (10 bathroom trips between bathroom and lunchtime), and truthfully, there were times I couldn't take it at all if I wanted to be able to leave my home due to those side effects. My doctor felt that although metformin commonly has gastro side effects, mine were on the extreme side. He switched me to 1000mg of metformin ER to see if that would help things. It did, however two days after taking the ER, my left leg broke out in hives. Only the left leg, on the front shin area. My doctor switched me back to the regular metformin (but only 500mg at night) to see if it was maybe an additive in the ER version that I might be allergic to. However, neither of us could explain why an allergy ...

I am 28 years old. I am taking Hosit and Ecospirin 75 which was prescribed by the doctor when I was ill when I was young. Now recently I was diagnosed as diabetic. I am bit concerned whether it is because of these tablets I take? Can you please help me with this. ## Hello, Chinna! How are you? No, neither of these would cause you to become diabetic. The Hosit is just a nutritional supplement and Ecosprin just contains Aspirin. What were your blood sugar levels at? What have you been prescribed to treat it?

My 8 year old daughter is apparently pre diabetic. Her fasting insulin is 44 which shouldn't be over somewhere around the low to mid 20's, I think was said. At a follow up appointment today w/ her pediatrician he order a couple more blood tests for liver enzyme level and lactic acid. He stated that if these tests are normal he wants to start her on Metformin. Naturally, I begin my Google search and see that it's not recommended for children under 10. Concerning? Yes. In a different situation this happened and my insurance wouldn't even consider paying with or without a prior authorization for the physician. Problem #2. I guess. Anyway a little history. ...She is, in my opinion, severely overweight at 127 lbs, is 1/2 African American, has plenty of extra waistline fat, wa...

need to obtain a Precision QID Glucometer for Diabetes Care. Where can I go to find one? ## Hello, Mile! How are you? I'm sorry, but I've not been able to find a listing of which pharmacies carry this. However, you should be able to just call them and ask. It's not like this is a controlled substance, so there shouldn't be a problem giving you an answer over the phone. Has anyone seen these anywhere?

Where can I get DBX-13 and is it for real ## Hi Joe, Of all the research I've done, there honestly isn't much evidence showing what DBX-13 really is or where it can be obtained. In short, many people (including myself) think it's a scam product. But if you'd like to check out some of the other discussion threads pertaining to this topic, I went ahead and posted the links below: Discuss/dbx-13-251946.htm Discuss/DBX-13-253070.htm Discuss/DBX-13-scam-261559.htm I hope this helps!

I am a type 2 diabetic, my doctor has prescribed 2.5mg of glimepiride, 300mg of Invokana and 50/1000 of Janumet, I was given a "free sample" of Janumet 50/1000 by the endocronolist I visted and he told me to take this XR at night, thus the regula Janumet 50/1000 on pill in am and Janumet XR 50/1000 in evening also one pill???? ## Hello, Michael! How are you? Have your blood sugar levels been out of control? Some people do require multiple medications with repeated dosing to get theirs under control. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, hypoglycemia, flatulence and stomach pain. However, if you're unsure about how you should take it and if you should double up, please call the doctor to double check.

My wife was prescribed potassium years ago. Does not remember mg or meq.We assume it was 10or 20 meq.She is now taking Oct potassium 99mg.How many 99mg would she take to get 10meq? She is diabetic and keeps it under control. ## Hello, Nick! How are you? There is no actual conversion for this, these 99mg over the counter potassium supplements aren't even close to the amount available in the prescription tablets. Additionally, it is not safe to take that much, unless her doctors has said she is dangerously low in it and needs to supplement it. Is there anything else I can help with?

doc advised me to take this tablet 3 times a day( after food) i.e morning, afternoon, and night.... so my question is if I consume this tablet 3 times in a day then will it nullify the sugar level I mean will it bring the sugar level below 50 ??? ## Hi Mady, Unfortunately there's no real way of knowing how this medication is going to end up affecting you and your blood sugar levels until you try it enough times to develop a true opinion. The effect this has on someone else's blood sugar levels may be totally different than yours based on several individual and biological factors. But with all do respect, isn't your doctor supposed to be monitoring your progress on a regular basis while you're first starting out on Metformin?
