Hello all, I am fairly healthy besides my weight. Usually consume about 1600 calories daily. Workout 3x a week or more. Started Wegovy two days ago... Starting Weight: 200 Current Weight: 194 Has anyone else lost 6lbs in two days?!?! I haven't even defecated... I'm drinking the same amount of water... ## I was wondering if anyone is discovering that Wegovy is not what they thought it was for weight loss? I have been on this for going on 12 weeks. I just injected my last 1 mg syringe. I will titration up next week. I started at 164 and am only down to 154 - so 10 pounds in about 12 weeks. I am 5 feet tall. I am having all the gastric stuff, slight nausea, constipation. I just thought if I put in the work (walking at least 6,000 steps a day, eating well) I would have lost more wei...

I'm not sure I am allowed to ask this... I'm getting quotes of $1k+. Am I doing something wrong? ## There are ads on many media for appx 249-350$ w/o insurance but 75$ initial "cost/fee" with online Dr's nationwide. I personally would feel better dealing with a Dr in PERSON to discuss pros and cons, as there are cons. Tirzepatide comes under many names also like Zepbound, which claims to be a replica of Mounjaro. You can have reactions to any drug obviously, but out of so many women I know who are taking one of the handful of weight loss injections none have any issues, but I still would rather be under a Dr's care just in case. Good luck. ## Google "Mounjaro saving program". That might help. I assume you do not have insurance. ## If you do not have diabe...

First month started with 5 mg. Just started the next month with 7.5 mg. Lost 14 pounds. Used to take 3 meds total. Now just once/week Mounjaro injection and Jardiance 25 mg daily. Morning sugars 120. ## That's awesome! So very glad that it's working so well for you. Have you experienced any of the side effects the FDA warns about, such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or stomach pain? Ref: Mounjaro Information ## I just started on Monday and so far I have had no negatives happen. Wondering if I'm in the right spot? I'm looking for an active forum dedicated to Mounjaro? ## Hi, I’ve been on a 2.5mg dose of Mounjaro for 3 weeks. This is for weight loss, not diabetes. Down 16 lbs but 10 were in the first week. Seeking info on what y’all are eating, caloric inta...

I was told by my drugstore, Walgreens, that Pioglitazone has been discontinued. I wanted to find out if all drug companies have discontinued it or just one or two? ## You can look at the FDA drug shortage web page for that information. After you search by the name of the medication it will list the various manufacturers and you can expand each field to see if they have a shortage, if they’ve said why, or if it has been discontinued. It’s not as up to date as the database the pharmacists use: But I don’t know if the pharmacist one tells you if the companies have discontinued making the medication or not. I know the FDA drug shortage database does. ## It was withdrawn in France and Germany in 2011. I know the patent expires in July 2026. It seems it has not been discont...

I have been on Ozempic now for 5 weeks. I started at the .25mg and after two weeks, upped it to the 0.5mg. I have never felt so dang good! I'm 53, post-meno, non-diabetic, 5'4", and SW was 264. My current weight, after just one month was down 19lbs! Now I'm down 21lbs! I'd love to finally be 165lbs or so again. I haven't been that small since I was about 11 years old. Ozempic has saved me! I can't believe it. I actually look forward to the injection every week. I only had nausea for a little bit the day after I started. And since, then, it's been great! No diarrhea, no nausea, just boundless energy. And not just that, but it's done something to my brain! I have this amazing sense of optimism, and positivity. I feel hopeful again! I feel like I AM goin...

At first I thought I was allergic as I broke out in a rash I thought was poison sumac, but not so sure now. And my bathroom habits have seriously changed from once every morning to several times a day. Any input would be greatly appreciated ## Hello, James! How are you doing? Ozempic contains the active ingredient Semaglutide, it used to treat type 2 diabetes. Its typical side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, as well as the risk of some serious possible side effects, like pancreatic inflammation, and kidney problems, though they are very rare. Hi, I have been on ozempic for 4 months. I went up from .5 to 1.0 last week. I tried the increase prior about a month ago, but when I went up to 1.0 I had too many side effects the first time I tried to tolerate 1.0 for 2 weeks. I experienced stomach cramps, gas, and diarrhea, then went back down to .5 for several weeks and that was okay. This week is my second time trying 1.0 again. I have stomach cramps and a gassy stomach as well as a little nausea. I thought about this new week and am due to take my next dose. Trying one more week on 1.0, I don’t know if I can handle it. I was doing ok on .5 and lost about 50lbs. My concern is gaining weight back if not going up to 1.0. What do you suggest I do? ## Those can be normal side effects of Ozempic, as reported by the FDA, you may al...

I have been on Victoza for over 6 months. I am 8 pounds away from my first goal weight. Yes, I had a lot of weight to lose, but now only have a total of 58 pounds left to go! I had lost much of my weight before starting on Victoza but could not lose any more weight. I would maintain the weight that I had lost and could lose no further until taking Victoza. I posed questions to my Endocrinologist today. What is the end goal for my taking of Victoza? Can I eventually stop taking Metformin, Glybyride and Victoza at all one day? Will I be able to maintain my weight loss without Victoza one day? Here are the answers he gave me to me (only). Each person's situation may be different. He said that he is switching me to a new form of Metformin which is time-released and taken by pill only 1 ...

I have GERD, which is reflux disease and the Victoza seems to make it worse. I also have a sliding hiatal hernia. Does anyone else have this issue? ## It is really hard to say what is causing it, it could be your medical issues, or the medication. The FDA warns that other side effects from Victoza may possibly include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, and decreased appetite. Is this the only medication you take? What have you tried to treat the GERD? ## I had no GERD but did have a hiatal hernia and I had surgery for that at a later time.

I have been on Victoza for about 2 weeks now and I have broken out in hives/rash around my mid section. My body itches but I'm not sure if it's related to this or not. Anyone else experience this? ## It would be best to have this symptoms checked out by your doctor, according to FDA reports, there is a chance that it might be an allergic reaction. Have you been exposed to anything else new, such a a different detergent, soap, or perfume? Have you eaten any new foods? Are you on any other medications? ## I have been on Victoza for one month and all of the sudden I have multiple red welts that itch on my abdomen where I've been injecting. ## I took it for 5 years no hives and no other symptoms. Check with your doctor.

They say Victoza can cause cancer in rats but haven ,t yet proven that in human, what else can happened to us I have been taking it for 5 mos. I don't know if it helps or hurt us? When will we know for sure ? ## Haven,t. Got and answer to my qwestion yet ., how do I get it? ## Hello, Al! How are you? There are risks associated with taking any medication, even those that have been on the market for decades. As to Victoza, it is approved by the FDA, so it's really not any more dangerous or concerning than any of the other medications out there. Regarding the thyroid cancer, that was at doses over 8 times those used in humans and any change seen in humans during trials was less then a percent. How is it working for you? ## What other things that could happened to us besides cancer ...

Hello. I am hoping someone can give me an idea of how much I'll have to pay per month to start taking Ozempic? I have BCBS insurance but has anyone tried to buy Ozempic without insurance using the savings card? If so, how much did you have to pay? I really need this medicine so I can get healthy again. ## If you go to a private drug store, ask the owner if they can get it for cheap. I did. ## Do not take this if you are not diabetic. THEY need these meds. But if you have to pay cash, AAA gives a really good discount at chain pharmacies. My $90 meds became $30 but CVS told me someone’s $900 dog meds became $90 with AAA. If your pharmacy is not used to processing these you might have to go to the AAA website to look at the discount card to get the bin number, but a lot of the ch...

I just started Ozempic today and forgot to count to 6 after injecting the needle before removing it. Did I still get my dose in me?? ## Definitely not. ## Has anyone used their Ozempic after it froze? My whole script froze..7 weeks worth. It defrosted and looks OK... The warnings seem a bit dire, but my chemist said it might just lose some of its efficacy? Anyone taken it after defrosting? ## Can you still use your Ozempic if it was delivered hot? Medicine was very hot, ice was thawed, temp here was 95. ## Hi, I don't feel the needle in my skin at all (no pain or anything). Does this mean I am not getting a dose of Ozempic? I had been on ozempic for diabetes for about 18 months. Great results! Low side effects. A1c down to 5.6, cut my insulin in half and lost 60 pounds! I was also basically immobile for any distance more than 100ft., on O2 for 24hrs a day and unable to do anything more than light care for myself. After losing 60lbs I am able to do most things and no longer need O2. My life has been transformed! Ozempic has been hard to get, due to demand and I was changed to truelicity. My insulin need increased and I was hungry. Very hungry! I quickly changed back to ozempic and my pharmacy said they should be able to supply at my level of 1mg dosage. My husband retired, I went on medicare with a plan G, and rx coverage thinking medicare would cover some. I used the last of my ozempic in December. I am un...

I have been taking Sitara M 100/500 after breakfast and my postprandial (pp) level is doing very well. I take Glucophage 500 mg SR after dinner, but my fasting level is around 120 or 125. Can I discontinue Glucophage and just take Sitara M 100/500 in the evening? Kindly advise. ## I have been diabetic for 10 years. I take Sitara M 100/500 mg after breakfast and Glycomet 500 mg SR after dinner. My fasting level is 132, and my post-lunch level is 161. My physiotherapist has asked me to take half of the Sitara M 100/500 dose at night as well. I am just hesitant about two things: first, whether Sitagliptin can be taken twice a day, and second, whether there will be muscle loss because an additional dose of Glycomet may lead to further muscle loss. I have been on Victoza but my new Endocrinologist is wanting me to switch to Ozempic. However, I have diabetic retinopathy and one of the side effects listed for Ozempic is possible worsening of that condition. Anyhow, I am just wondering if anyone else has switched from Victoza to Ozempic and had any results to share? Also, if anyone knows any updates on the correlation between Ozempic and diabetic retinopathy, I'd be really eager to hear them. Thanks!

It’s a great medication. Thus far I have lost 20 pounds with ease along with my normal cardio routine; I’m experiencing the possible non life threatening side effects. However there is a side effect that is not listed which I’m experiencing since starting the dosage regimen to 10mg: erectile dysfunction. 2 other men I met via pharmacy told me that they are also affected & ED medication does not have any effect. We all know that it’s a 1x per week dosage so I put it through the test I had gone 9 days without the injection & I started to feel my ability returning. Needless to say the medication starts to weaken in your metabolism by the 10th day I was functioning normal again, however I would not recommend missing a dosage date. I’m back on my dosage ...

I have started on Victoza for the last couple of weeks, and have noticed the difference in my appetite etc which is actually very exciting for someone who has always overeaten. One question though, I've been told to take it in the morning by my GP, however my "problem" time for overeating is after 8pm at night. I've noticed may take it with their evening meal. Would this have a better effect on my late eavening eating? ## According to the manufacturer's website here it can be taken any time of day, but you should always double check with your doctor to be sure it is okay for you to do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Victoza as possibly including headache, heartburn, constipation, and indigestion. Is there anything else I can help with?
