I am seven weeks in the program and I haven't lost an ounce of weight. I take the medication exactly when I'm supposed to. Every Saturday about the same time. Some of the comments I have read indicate that weight loss begins much earlier in the program. What are others experiencing? What am I doing wrong?

I tried the 12.5 Mounjaro and got so sick. Had horrible headache, nauseous, stomach hurting and constipated to the point I had to have an enema! I tried it again to see if it was a fluke. Nope, same symptoms! I didn't have any of these symptoms on the lower doses except constipated but I usually had BM after a week.

I'm having joint pain in my hands and toes while on Mounjaro. It started 3 days after the first 2.5mg injection. The skin feels tender in these areas as well. Is anyone having this issue? ## The medication guide for MOUNJARO does not specifically mention joint pain in the hands and toes as a known side effect. However, it's important to note that individual responses to medications can vary, and some side effects may not be listed or fully understood. Joint pain may be associated with type 2 diabetes. While joint pain is not a direct symptom of diabetes itself, it can occur as a result of various factors related to the condition. Here are a few potential reasons why joint pain may be experienced by individuals with type 2 diabetes: 1. Inflammation: Diabetes can contribute to sys...

I started Ozempic on July 24, it is now Oct 1 and I have only lost 8 pounds. I try to stay under 1,200 calories a day and I walk about 10,000 steps. My dose was 0.25 mg which is 10 units or 0.1 ML. Tomorrow, I start my 0.50 mg which is 20 units or 0.2 ML. My question is: Is it normal to lose only 8 pounds in 2 months?

Has anyone experienced sudden memory loss while taking Mounjaro? I noticed it a couple of weeks after starting. It was not the normal "aging" loss - it was more pronounced and happened suddenly. I know it could have been a TIA, but it did seem coincidental. ## Memory loss is not listed among the known side effects provided by the FDA nor the manufacturer of Mounjaro themselves [1]. Side effects typically include nausea, stomach pain, elevated heart rate, and heartburn. Ref: Mounjaro Information On the contrary, I did find a PubMed abstract concluding that “Tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Mounjaro) obviously exerts a protective effect against spatial learning and memory impairment, potentially through regulating abnormal insulin resistance and inflammatory responses....

ARE GNC VITAMIN B-6 200, GNC VITAMIN B-12 1000 & GNF FOLIC ACID 1000 COMBINED A GOOD SUBSTITUTE FOR METANX? IS THERE A GENERIC FOR METANX AVAILABLE? ## There is a generic for Metanx now. I have been paying $42, but the generic is $18. Ask your pharamacist. ## There is NO generic for Metanx, anyone that claims to be a generic does not have the L form of folate (Metanx) that product would have both the inactive form in their product (racemic mixture). DO NOT TAKE THE RACEMIC FORM. If your doctor prescribes Metanx, please only take Metanx. ## A racemic mixture has both the L and R forms of the substance and should be OK, just make sure there is sufficient L form (half of the total weightj). I.e. Metanx has 2.8 mg of the L-methylfolate, make sure the generic has this or 5.6 mg of methyl...

Any taking the Mounjaro 12.5 and noticed very bad diarrhea? I have taken it for two weeks and I am having some stomach issues. I have had the stomach cramping and the not feeling well when I was on the 10 mg dose but the 12.5 dose is a lot stronger. ## The FDA does list diarrhea as being a possible side effect of Mounjaro, along with headache, dizziness, appetite loss, and stomach upset/pain. Ref: Mounjaro Information Typically, side effects should improve with time, as your body gets used to your dosage of a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks of consistent use, and eventually, they should go away entirely. Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications? ## Hi, I’ve just started the Mounjaro 10mg pen and have lost 20lbs. Previously I’ve just felt bloated...

I am 82 years old and diabetic since 2012. My post-lunch levels are always within the permitted levels, but my fasting levels go up to 125 occasionally or sometimes continually. I am taking Sitagliptin 100 mg and Metformin 500 mg in the morning after breakfast and 250 mg Glyciphage after lunch, and 500 mg Glyciphage after dinner, but the fasting levels have not come down to the desirable level. My doc asked me to take Sitagliptin and Metformin 100/ 500 after breakfast and 750 mg after dinner. Can I take this much Metformin dosage at night? Does it lead to hypoglycemia during the night or early morning. Is the dosage is not high. Kindly advise. Another doctor friend suggested Sitagliptin 100 mg/Metformin 1000 mg and Dapaglilflozin 10 mg to take and nothing else during the day and asked m...

So I started on wegovy around 7 weeks ago. I've dropped from 277 to 240 in that time span. One thing I noticed is that my upper stomach area is still always bloated and like I'm retaining water. I know since my diet has drastically changed, my calories have dipped. So one, I'm not eating no where as much as the past, and I guess not getting a ton of fiber. I can't stand Metamucil. Was wondering for any other tips. Thanks. ## As an adamant non-fan of Metamucil, I feel your pain. You can get fiber capsules that will help. Just make sure to take them with plenty of water. I take 3 capsules twice a day, and it helps. You can buy these at the grocery, drug store or online. ## How does everyone deal with the gas and upset stomach? ## Fiber pills (at least 6 per day), lots of w...

Hello all, I am fairly healthy besides my weight. Usually consume about 1600 calories daily. Workout 3x a week or more. Started Wegovy two days ago... Starting Weight: 200 Current Weight: 194 Has anyone else lost 6lbs in two days?!?! I haven't even defecated... I'm drinking the same amount of water... ## I was wondering if anyone is discovering that Wegovy is not what they thought it was for weight loss? I have been on this for going on 12 weeks. I just injected my last 1 mg syringe. I will titration up next week. I started at 164 and am only down to 154 - so 10 pounds in about 12 weeks. I am 5 feet tall. I am having all the gastric stuff, slight nausea, constipation. I just thought if I put in the work (walking at least 6,000 steps a day, eating well) I would have lost more wei...

I'm not sure I am allowed to ask this... I'm getting quotes of $1k+. Am I doing something wrong? ## There are ads on many media for appx 249-350$ w/o insurance but 75$ initial "cost/fee" with online Dr's nationwide. I personally would feel better dealing with a Dr in PERSON to discuss pros and cons, as there are cons. Tirzepatide comes under many names also like Zepbound, which claims to be a replica of Mounjaro. You can have reactions to any drug obviously, but out of so many women I know who are taking one of the handful of weight loss injections none have any issues, but I still would rather be under a Dr's care just in case. Good luck. ## Google "Mounjaro saving program". That might help. I assume you do not have insurance. ## If you do not have diabe...

First month started with 5 mg. Just started the next month with 7.5 mg. Lost 14 pounds. Used to take 3 meds total. Now just once/week Mounjaro injection and Jardiance 25 mg daily. Have you experienced any of the side effects the FDA warns about, such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or stomach pain? I was told by my drugstore, Walgreens, that Pioglitazone has been discontinued. I wanted to find out if all drug companies have discontinued it or just one or two? ## You can look at the FDA drug shortage web page for that information. After you search by the name of the medication it will list the various manufacturers and you can expand each field to see if they have a shortage, if they’ve said why, or if it has been discontinued. It’s not as up to date as the database the pharmacists use: But I don’t know if the pharmacist one tells you if the companies have discontinued making the medication or not. I know the FDA drug shortage database does. ## It was withdrawn in France and Germany in 2011. I know the patent expires in July 2026. It seems it has not been discont...

Hi, I have been on ozempic for 4 months. I went up from .5 to 1.0 last week. I tried the increase prior about a month ago, but when I went up to 1.0 I had too many side effects the first time I tried to tolerate 1.0 for 2 weeks. I experienced stomach cramps, gas, and diarrhea, then went back down to .5 for several weeks and that was okay. This week is my second time trying 1.0 again. I have stomach cramps and a gassy stomach as well as a little nausea. I thought about this new week and am due to take my next dose. Trying one more week on 1.0, I don’t know if I can handle it. I was doing ok on .5 and lost about 50lbs. My concern is gaining weight back if not going up to 1.0. What do you suggest I do? ## Those can be normal side effects of Ozempic, as reported by the FDA, you may al...

I have been on Victoza for over 6 months. I am 8 pounds away from my first goal weight. Yes, I had a lot of weight to lose, but now only have a total of 58 pounds left to go! I had lost much of my weight before starting on Victoza but could not lose any more weight. I would maintain the weight that I had lost and could lose no further until taking Victoza. I posed questions to my Endocrinologist today. What is the end goal for my taking of Victoza? Can I eventually stop taking Metformin, Glybyride and Victoza at all one day? Will I be able to maintain my weight loss without Victoza one day? Here are the answers he gave me to me (only). Each person's situation may be different. He said that he is switching me to a new form of Metformin which is time-released and taken by pill only 1 ...

I have GERD, which is reflux disease and the Victoza seems to make it worse. I also have a sliding hiatal hernia. Does anyone else have this issue? ## It is really hard to say what is causing it, it could be your medical issues, or the medication. The FDA warns that other side effects from Victoza may possibly include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, and decreased appetite. Is this the only medication you take? What have you tried to treat the GERD? ## I had no GERD but did have a hiatal hernia and I had surgery for that at a later time.

I have been on Victoza for about 2 weeks now and I have broken out in hives/rash around my mid section. My body itches but I'm not sure if it's related to this or not. Anyone else experience this? ## It would be best to have this symptoms checked out by your doctor, according to FDA reports, there is a chance that it might be an allergic reaction. Have you been exposed to anything else new, such a a different detergent, soap, or perfume? Have you eaten any new foods? Are you on any other medications? ## I have been on Victoza for one month and all of the sudden I have multiple red welts that itch on my abdomen where I've been injecting. ## I took it for 5 years no hives and no other symptoms. Check with your doctor.

When will we know for sure ? ## Haven,t. Got and answer to my qwestion yet ., how do I get it? ## Hello, Al! How are you? There are risks associated with taking any medication, even those that have been on the market for decades. As to Victoza, it is approved by the FDA, so it's really not any more dangerous or concerning than any of the other medications out there. Regarding the thyroid cancer, that was at doses over 8 times those used in humans and any change seen in humans during trials was less then a percent. How is it working for you? ## What other things that could happened to us besides cancer ...

Hello. I am hoping someone can give me an idea of how much I'll have to pay per month to start taking Ozempic? I have BCBS insurance but has anyone tried to buy Ozempic without insurance using the savings card? If so, how much did you have to pay? I really need this medicine so I can get healthy again. ## If you go to a private drug store, ask the owner if they can get it for cheap. I did. ## Do not take this if you are not diabetic. THEY need these meds. But if you have to pay cash, AAA gives a really good discount at chain pharmacies. My $90 meds became $30 but CVS told me someone’s $900 dog meds became $90 with AAA. If your pharmacy is not used to processing these you might have to go to the AAA website to look at the discount card to get the bin number, but a lot of the ch...
