I am taking citalopram HBR 10 mg and am experiencing swelling of my legs and arms. Is this a possible side effect? ## Hi eileen, I can't find any information that claims "swelling of the arms and legs" to be a side effect. However, I did read that allergic reactions to this medication can cause swelling of the face, tongue, eyes or mouth. Everyone reacts differently to prescription medication so it's possible that the problems you are experiencing could be the result of this drug. Nonetheless, do not stop taking Citalopram HBR without first talking to your healthcare provider. I hope this helps!

Beige oblong tablet, scored, 9 and 0 on the scored side and A on the reverse. Learn more Citalopram details here. Has anyone had ths experience when after a reasonable time on the drug it seems not to be working as effectively? ## Hi Chris, The reason why the medication seems to be not working as effectively over time, is generally due to the tolerance or physical addiction of the drug itself.
