My spouse was prescribed Livalo to lower cholesterol. The cholesterol response was positive. The Total Cholesterol went from an average of 238 to an average of 160. Mission accomplished but ....... My spouse spent the worst 6 months of her life enduring a baffling array of maladies. The various side-effects progressed with time and did not seem to have a relationship with the drug. Kinda' a "creeping blunder" type of response. The first indications of "change" in her quality of life were: -Insomnia -Fatigue -Loss of Zest -Aching Then some new conditions appeared: -Dry, Itching Skin -Dry, Crusty Eyes -Darkening Urine At the fifth month: -Burping -Gas -Pronounced Pain Under Rib Cage on right Side -Reflux type symptoms One Day: -Pain in Stomach Below Rib Cage that was a...

Found on floor of my vanity room. It's approx 3/4 of inch long with ATV40 on one side and APO on the other side. Hope it's not dangerous as I have small grandchildren in my home. ## This tablet is manufactured by Apotex Corp. and they list it as containing 40mgs of Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol levels. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. It would be best to sweep up and make sure no others are scattered about, as it could be too much for a small child. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have high cholesterol, along with panic disorder. Obviously I terrified of drugs. I was prescribed Welchol, and I'm staring at the thing like it's going to close up my throat. Anyone have some positive feedback that will help me take this? Thank you so very much. ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? Hello, I am 51 now & in early stage of menopause, my Gynec in Mumbai prescribed me Flunil 20 mg; as i used to sweat & my BP used to fluctuate very often - although most of the time it was normal - but suddenly rises up to 154/110, 148/84 & so on & I used to get tingling sensation on my left side of the cheek & numbness on the left arm & leg, My Doc., in Dubai suggested me to start with the BP tablets Conair 2.5 mg, but i am reluctant to start BP tablets so soon, I walk 3 times a day - each time 25 to 30 minutes walk, is that fine to avoid using BP tablets, Blood sugar & Cholesterol is fine. ## If your doctor thinks you need to take a blood pressure tablet, then you should do so. For about three years there was a "hell" for me to walk because of the side effects from Simvastatin. Got from my doctor in 2008 prescription on Simvastatin, one 10 mg pill / day. My cholesterol at the time measured over 4. After about half a year, the dose was increased to 20 mg since my cholesterol level only increased. At the same time my feet started to hurt but neither the doctor or myself realized that this was Simvastatin connected. At the same time I also got problem with a"spur" under one heal. (How I got rid of the "spur" without surgery, is another story) From the first Simvastatin pill I swallowed, the lips tickled for a minute or two, then it stopped. Now I marvel why did I not respond to this clear signal at the time, but I did not. I had not the ha...

Found 1/2 blue pill coated (white inside) imprinted with "10" on one side. It's more of an elliptical shape than oval. ## Oddly enough I found a white, elliptical, film-coated tablet imprinted with "10" that's identified as Atorvastatin 10mg; a medication used for lowering cholesterol. I wonder if the manufacturer could've changed its color to blue at some point? As we know, manufacturers can alter the appearance of their drugs without any prior notice to the public, so this is something I'd consider investigating just to be sure. Unfortunately I haven't been able to determine who the manufacturer is. However I will be sure to post back if or when I do. Also, could there possibly be other numbers on the tablet since you only located half of it? If so,...

I have been taking simvastatin 20MG for sometime now and it was a tan round shaped tablet. I just start a new bottle refill that is described as a brick red oval shaped tablet. Have changes been made to this medication or do I have the wrong pills? ## Simvastatin is a generic medication, which is used to help lower cholesterol, and as a generic, it is manufactured by quite a few different companies. It is also normal for a pharmacy to switch their supplier, when they restock, if a different company is offering it cheaper. So, you probably do have the correct medication, just manufactured by a different company. There are 20mg Simvastatin tablets that meet the description you provided, but what are the markings on the tablets? If you can post back with this information, then I can check ...

I have been taking Crestor 10 mg for 5 months but on various Statins for 2O years. A few days ago my skin started to feel like I had a sunburn in my face, behind my neck, buttocks and legs, plus a bit of a sore throat.
