Please tell me if the combination of Amtas and Diltiazem is safe or if it has some side effects for a heart patient? ## Has your doctor instructed you to take both of them? These medications are often prescribed together to help treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. However, it would be far more dangerous to not take them. Are you on any other medications? ## I was prescribed Amtas 10 in the morning and Diltiazem 90 and Minipress XL at night. Is it safe to take these medications together? I was told by my dr that I cannot take Amtas and Diltiazem. I also have a kidney problem and my creatinine level is 4. Please advise.

Because of my extreme drug sensitivity, I need to take the brand name Cardizem for my A-fib. Due to production problems, it was not available after December 2017 with the availability not returning until April 2018. I feel as though the new release is not the same as the prior capsules... There appears to be less medication contained in it and I am not getting the same benefit from the Cardizem 120mg I was taking before the production problem. The pharmaceutical company is Valeant. Can this be checked out? Did anyone else have this problem with the new release? If Cartia XT has been discontinued what is the best replacement for it? ## I am still taking Cartia XT...h however I feel nauseated like I'm going to faint I have body aches constipation depression muscle weakness and hoarseness. And looking up the side effects of Cartia all of that on there. I'm trying to be informed about replacement drugs and what can be substituted for Cartia. I'm taking this trip for years was never this kind of side effects until 6 or so. I also take Prophonome and Xarelto. These also have the same side effects. But I chose to stop the Cartia for one night and woke up feeling a lot better than this morning and all day that day. Iecently been told by my pharmacy that Cartia xt is no longer on the market. My physician precribed Dialtiazen as a replacement. This has led to numerous side effects previously not related to cartia xt. I'm looking for some adice ! ## Everyone having problems trying to find a replacement for Cartia XT. i found a round small pill with the number 4 on one side and nothing on the other do you know what it is..? ## It is a nitroglycerin pill. It is a nitrate that dilates (widens) blood vessels. Nitroglycerin rectal is used to treat moderate to severe pain caused by chronic anal fissures (tears in the skin lining your rectum). ## Tylenol 4 with codeine. I used to get them from my doctor. My Nifedipine blood pressure pills got wet. Are they still good to use? ## If it was just water, they wouldn't become toxic, or anything, but if they partially dissolved they may not be as effective. Wanting to know and have factual proof that this caused a fail on a UA for PCP ## I just had babies and am taking procardio for high blood pressure and it's time to go back to work and I need to take a drug test. Will I fail my drug test because of procardio?

I drive a commercial vehicle and take isosorbide mononitrate. I've heard recently that I'm not supposed to take this medication and drive commercially. Does anyone know about this for sure? I've been taking this and driving for quite a while with no adverse effects, but just need to know for sure. Thanks.

Can these two drugs, when taken together, cause strokes in women over 55? I was told by a pain management doctor that I should not take these two together. ## I see warnings about taking them together causing increased bleeding risks in those with kidney disease, but nothing specific to women over 55, as listed by NIH and FDA reports. Since I started the drug Ranexa it is been very good for helping me with angina pain but I have started having severe bloody gory horrifying nightmares since I started taking it never had them before I've been on them for several years has anybody else had this side effect ## Most medications can cause odd dreaming as a side effect, if it just the nature of what happens, when you add a chemical to the body to try to correct a problem, according to NIH reports. I have been taking Diltiazem TR 240 mg manufactured by oceanside, which is the generic for Tiazac. However I cannot find any information on the 'TR'... ## Hello Kathy! How are you? What is the difference between Act-Diltiazem CD 180mg and Teva-Diltiazem CD 180mg? My prescription was changed. ## It is the same medication, just manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. I am on 500mg of Ranexa and my doctor has increased it to 1000mg. What difference will or could I feel? I have been exhausted with my new medicine and we are trying the 1000mg to see if it helps. ## What new medication is causing the issues? My Dr. put me on 30mg of isosorbide mono er. Not for Angina but to improve my oxygen intake. My problem is that When I take a pill I cannot take another, the next morning, because my blood pressure is in the 20's. I am 88, had open heart triple bypass surgery 6 years ago. Plaque,that was my only problem. Drs. say that I have a strong heart. Question -- Can I split the pill and take only half a pill per morning. ## Wow! Your BP drops to the 20's? Is that systolic or diastolic? Strong heart, or not, the is a dangerously low number. My PCP and cardiologist worry if mine drops below 90/60. My mom takes a lot of pills and a typo from me caused her to take two 90 mg ER Nifedipine tablets. I am TERRIFIED that I have just hurt or worsened my mom. What will happen? Should I take her to the ER? Should I call the ambulance. Nothing has happened yet, but I am so scared. Her blood pressure before was 186 over 104, pulse 95. Generally doubling up once doesn't cause any serious issues, other than possibly more severe side effects, according to the FDA. So she may experience more nausea, dizziness, headache, and urination than normal. It could also cause her blood pressure to be lower than usual. Is she on any other medications?

Hello, i've just started taking Adalat GITS 20mg for my high blood pressure. I still feel dizzy at times and my blood pressure is 130/90 still (it was extremely high last week and was also dizzy).
