Adalat Gits 20
UpdatedHello, i've just started taking Adalat GITS 20mg for my high blood pressure. I still feel dizzy at times and my blood pressure is 130/90 still (it was extremely high last week and was also dizzy). How long will it take for this medication to work and regulate my blood pressure? I am now much stricter with my diet as well.

How long have you been taking it?
It may take 4 to 5 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to see how well it will work for you.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Thanks for replying. I've been taking it for about 10 days now and struggling with the side effect, mostly the lightheadedness/headache. I've been bumped up to 30mg as my bp is still high towards the afternoon/evening (140-160/100). Will the side effects ever go away?
Just an update: The side effects are slowly going away and I'm able to function normally again. I was bumped up to 30mg 3 weeks ago and now my BP is more stable.
