Diltiazem And Xarelto

Can these two drugs, when taken together, cause strokes in women over 55? I was told by a pain management doctor that I should not take these two together.

I see warnings about taking them together causing increased bleeding risks in those with kidney disease, but nothing specific to women over 55, as listed by NIH and FDA reports.

There are many cases where these are prescribed together to treat various heart conditions.

Are you on any other medications?
