I just received letrozole 2.5 mg tablets (generic for Femara) which are supposed to be yellow but are a mauve color not yellow? They are round shaped with N stamped on 1st side & L on the 2nd side. I am concerned about the color. these pills were produced by Breckenridge co. ## Our listings also say they should be yellow. The color, however, doesn't actually mean anything, so the company may have changed it, but I'd suggest double checking with your pharmacy to be certain. Have you contacted them to ask? ## MY tabs are also peach or a more mauve color, FROM BRECKINRIDGE! I tried to send them a question but only pharmacists and doctors can question them. Very irresponsible of this company to not update their description.

My husband has been pazopanib for one week. The side effects are, loss of appetite, blisters on his tongue, and fatigue. Does it get better the longer you are on it? Does your body adjust? Or is this how his life is going to be? At 94 this is my second year of need and I think I did wrong by ignoring the first sign of an eruption. Last year it was just one spot on my forehead and took five weeks to clear. This year I ignored the first signs and continued long walks in the cold windy weather and that I think caused the spread from one side of my head to the other. As I cannot stand attending a doctor and it takes three weeks to see one,I used out of date Efudix and it worked as well as ever. My only problem now is hiding the scabs and removing the "snow storm" from wherever I walk. Please can anyone tell me whether if I have another attack will an immediate application of Efudix prevent it spreading? My health otherwise is as near perfect as I could expect.

Does Gleevec work for acute eczema and acute dry skin? ## I don't have any information on this, but I can tell you that there have been several people posting that it has worked and several others who have heard of it and have been asking the same types of questions Gleevec is currently approved to treat certain types of cancer, so the side effects of these types of medications can be pretty prodigious and I am not certain it would be worth using to treat a skin condition. Does anyone else have experience using this? ## It gave me a rash and bad itching. Took a low dose of Prednisone to get rid of it. I would say NO!

Can anyone else tell me how long gone after starting gleevec gleevec will side effects show hp? ## It can vary from person to person, some people may experience side effects upon the first dose, but for others it may take a week or so, and there are always some people that don't experience any. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, vomiting, skin rash, diarrhea and joint/muscle pain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I vaguely remember being told Gleevec and antihistamines do not mix, can anyone confirm this ?

I have been fighting cancer for 5 years and still going. I have tried so many things like this that are empty promises. All they do is put down chemo, which has been the ONLY thing keeping me alive so far. I did this fatal Mexico heat treatments with they charged me $40,000 for two weeks of treatments and they almost killed me because they did NOTHING to help me. Hi. My 18 year old son has AML with flt-3 gene mutation. He has been using a low dose of Nexavar 200mg 2x/day for 2 weeks. It seems to be working after 6 courses of chemo treatments had been ineffective. However, the side effects are severe; nausea, vomiting & diarrhea. Does anyone have any advice on what worked for them? We stay in South Africa, so medications available are quite limited. Looking forward to hearing from others in a similar situation. Kind regards.

Would like to hear from anyone who has been a long-term user of Nexavar. I am on my 45th cycle and my oncologist has not had anyone else stay on it for such a long time. We are looking for information on side-effects for long-term users. ## From the lack of responses, I am wondering if Nexavar is used in the USA. I developed a liver problem due to breast cancer (metastasis to liver) and am now having jaundice and stomach pains. Please share your thoughts on how I should go about healing my body? ## Do you have any specific information on your liver problem? Can you post back and be more specific? Are you currently on any medications, or chemotherapy? Pain, and jaundice are typical of most liver issues, accord to the FDA, but the proper treatment for them depends on more specific details. I can not take pantoprazole now but have all day issues w/ my stomach. Is there anything I can do or take to help? ## Hi maggie, Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I could gather, pantoprazole is used to treat symptoms of GERD & excess stomach acid. What works for others may or may not work as well for you, however, I've had success with raw manuka honey and apple cider vinegar for eliminating excess acid and heartburn. My father also battles with esophagitis from time to time and has had very positive feedback with that regiment. Baking soda is extremely alkaline and in my experience may also be a nice addition to that arsenal of treatment. I am a cancer patient who found out in hospital that I lost my job and insurance. I need immediate help for pain. Have looked for pain management, don't know who to trust. I honestly am begging for help ## I would ask to talk with the social worker at the hospital, they actually paid for my perscrption. Also ask to talk to the financial dept not only for the hospital bill, but also about the meds, your doc, can several times help. And get ahold of hospice, you do not have to be dieing, and they could be able to help. If your doc makes a referral it can help greatly. The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, administration site irritation, headache, kidney issues, and spleen rupture. Has it been prescribed for you?

chemo drug ## my mother died from rare side effects of this drug ## she was taking it for lung cancer, they did not tell her it would attack her blood system and cause unusual bleeding and abnormal clotting ## Were you possibly referring to Alimta? It is most commonly used to treat lung cancer. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, heartburn, loss of appetite, dark urine, and easy bruising, or bleeding.
