Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 19)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

The powers that be have a lot of these doctors fearful of losing their licenses. The majority of the deaths from opioids, ect. are not from patients who are prescribed these drugs for legitimate pain. The FDA, CDC, Politician, Insurance companies know it and they dont care. The politicians are owned by Big pharma; due to campaign donations. The FDA receives astronomical annual regulatory fees from Big pharma; yet they are not properly monitoring the manufacturers who make the poison for Big pharma. The more generic pharmaceutical companies, the more money the FDA gets. These generic drugs dont indicate FDA approved because technically they arent. No ingredients are disclosed like everything else we buy over the counter. It's nothing but corruption.

Is BS that there looking out for us and not approving more than the prescribed amount. They dont mind giving you more opioids before there due; as long as you pay for them. My palliative tried to get me name brand oxycontin extended release; so that I could sleep through the night. Of course it was refused because it would be better for me and the cost is outrageous. However, when I picked up a full months supply of percocet and the cheap morphine sulfate they approved instead (which I can take), they were willing to sell me the Oxycontin too; if I paid. They would let me walk out of the pharmacy with a deadly, lethal combination of drugs. I repeat, as long as I paid no body gave a damned. If they really cared about the public's well being, they would concentrate on the illegal problems with these drugs and stop the political witch hunt on people who need them. This is all about the rich getting richer. A lot the public who is fortunate enough not to need these drugs are foolish enough to believe that this is saving lives.

I'm sorry you doctor treated you that way. It was wrong but many do. My palliative care doctor didn't even want the garbage back. I've said it before; I have lost all trust in those who are enforcing these laws and I do believe all of this is a plan for the drug companies to take over the cannabis industry in a pill form. More generic drugs with binders and fillers where we have no idea what were getting. Although when they weren't monetarily benefiting from cannabis, they said it was effective for pain. I tried it for a while and it helped me cut down on the percocet but I still needed them. I just cant afford it; especially now that its legal in California and they have raised the tax's to approx.33%. The last I checked, in order to get the tax break as a cancer patient, I would have to renew the card ($50) and pay a state fee of $50. Before, I had the card and got the break when the tax was 10% in CA. I will stop now. Talking about this gives me anxiety.

Exactly how I felt, like I had the flu or poisoned. Just si you know you are not alone. God bless you & I pray we can all bond together as one voice for us; not just w/this Camber generic but the overall generics of percocet & its derivatives where there is obviously a formulation change. There are just too many mutual complaints/side effects on this fabulous website to think otherwise.

Re: Rawdog (# 346) Expand Referenced Message

I don't know if I previously posted on this thread or not. I have posted on one of the other threads about this subject. I received the Camber Percocet a couple of months ago and the very first thing I remember was the terrible stomach pain. Not cramps but pain! Then nausea and vomiting, chills, sweats, and I had these weird body shakes. At first just thought I might have the flu but soon realized it had to be the pills after going on the internet and reading that other people were having the same reaction to the Camber. I called Walgreens after 5 days and told them what was going on. They admitted I was not the only one.

Called my Doctor but had to wait two days til my scheduled appointment. I was prepared to suffer the rest of the month without my break thru meds, but my PA had decided to give me enough Hydrocodone to get thru til my next refill of Percocet. She said if asked we were making a med change so that my insurance paid for it. Now how nice was that? I have the best PM office. Then she told me to ask them to order the Actavis Percocet I have taken for years.

So far, Walgreens has been great and ordered the Actavis for me. It took me about 10 days after stopping the Camber to feel anything close to myself. When I got my Actavis Percocet, I got back on my usual dosing schedule and by the end of the day I felt like my old self and was even able to sleep again. It was night and day.

If your pharmacy refuses to order a brand you can take, then I would keep going til I found a pharmacy willing to help and if you have to, get your doctor involved. My PA was willing to call the if I needed her to.

I don't know what is going on but I have been taking Percocet for years and I mean 15-20 years and never had this type of side effects. I didn't feel just sick, I felt poisoned. I read that Camber Pharmaceuticals is like 6 years old and just started manufacturing Percocet late last year.

Thanks for suggesting we all call them. I will do that on Monday. Maybe if they get overwhelmed by calls, they will make changes. I want them to make the changes necessary to their formula because I don't want anyone else to go thru what I went thru. Also Camber manufactures lots of other drugs so make sure anything you pick up in the future, you check and make sure their name isn't on it.

Take care all.

Or a phycologist or mental health professional. Relentless chronic pain will cause depression if not treated!

Absolutely! I thought it was just me. Thank you all for speaking out. 20 years ago I had great Dr’s who took me under their wing. Introduced me to opiate MANAGED pain mgmt. I was able to walk again with a positive tolerable attitude until approx 5 mos ago. I felt a distinct change in affect of my percocet; generics as it is odd the brand cannot be had by my pharmacy or any pharmacy I’ve tried. Seems abruptly with this I’ve felt sick with either stomach & respiratory ailments. I’ve been tested, re-tested. Dr’s say I’m ok but all must be related to the new formulation of this pain med percocet, yet still no definitive answer.

I’ve spent the last 72 hours doing intensive research trying to get to the bottom of this opioid mess since being poisoned by Cambers pharmaceuticals a couple days ago.

I’m learning that the DEA/FDA, Government and pharmacies, as well as some doctors, are all in cahoots to put an end to the opioid addiction problem by 2021. They are adding toxic fillers to opioid products to make users sick. They are reducing the actual amount of the active opioid ingredient down to 2% of what it should be. And from what I’m reading by patients all over America, it’s working. Many are refusing to refill their meds because they’re tired of being poisoned by the additives. Instead, for those that can afford it, people are getting their drugs illegally from God knows who, or where. And they are dying as a result.

I personally can not afford to get “street drugs” (opioids) and knowing what’s out there, would never risk doing so.

Up until I was poisoned by Camber Oxis earlier this week, I’ve NEVER bothered to research manufactures of opioids. I’ve been taking them, as prescribed, for over 3 years with zero side effects or problems. My pharmacy as always supplied the same things, either Activis or Rhodes versions of my generic Percocet. Suddenly after the Camber poisoning I went through this past week, I’m online researching everything I can find out about what’s going on!!! I’m floored at what I’m finding.

These Government agencies are going after and punishing the WRONG PEOPLE! Those of us who use opioids daily for CHRONIC, DEBILITATING PAIN! We depend on these opioids to live a “somewhat” productive life. Without them, many of us simply cannot function, myself included.

I’m angry and frustrated. And rightfully so! Why should I be paying for the mistakes and drug ABUSE of others? I’ve followed my doctor's orders to the letter! I never run out of my mess early, and am responsible with self-dosing. But because a bunch of *****s aren’t, I get to be punished for it, labeled, condemned, and made to suffer.

WTH? Bottom line....this plan that they have to “end” the opioid crisis by 2021, will end up killing more people than they can ever imagine. Trust me on this.

Any thoughts?

Re: Marv (# 355) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Marv,

I was surprised myself to see all the complaints about Camber after having such a violent reaction to them myself. I looked it up after a few hours of suffering to make sure I wasn’t wrong about what was suddenly causing me to be so ill. Sure enough, many people are having issues with Camber's generic version of Oxycodone.

Who’da thunk? I hope they get enough complaints that they're put out of business. And I hope pharmacies WAKE UP and start being more careful where they get their meds from. Camber's Headquarters is in India! Seriously?

Anyway, I hope you’re doing okay taking that poisonous crap. I couldn’t handle it for more than 4 doses. I got a replacement script from my doctor (painstakingly) and now have another brand which is super weak. At least I’m not vomiting anymore though.

I just have an interesting question. We all know about the oxycontin or old OC's that are now called OP'S. This plastic, horrible, crappy, poor excuse of a remanufactured drug is not even close to half as good as the original formula. With all the new fillers and tamper-proof garbage they put into them. So my question is, I thought every 10yrs or so a generic oxycontin would of made its way onto the market by now. How come Purdue is the only one allowed to make them? Yes, I know they have Xztampza now which is even worse than the new OP'S. How or why won't a company make a good version like the old OC's? I just don't know why it's so hard to find a good or even decent long-acting (ER) oxycontin? Is that too much to ask and also for it not to be manufactured out of the country (like the Camber Pharmaceutical pills made in India)? Come on let's all wake up here and call it what it is..... A bunch of bull****. Like someone else stated, they're forcing people to go to the streets and go down a dangerous sketchy patch which can lead to jail or worse, a pill laced with Fentanyl or Carfentanyl or raw H. Sorry bout the rant but Big Pharma IS in bed with the DEA, FBI, CIA, FDA and the House of representatives all the way down our government. And it's all about the money ALWAYS!!! So what's a person to do???

I'm desperately trying to pretend that life is easy breeezy one two three just put the pain out of my head and get on with life, do the ordinary, put laundry away that has been sitting in baskets, do dishes, back on couch again, the pain is relentless, tears rolling down cheeks, take one of these pain pills that have the word oxy. Yeah right, sure, it's going to work this time change attitude, be positive and hope, hope that maybe in this prescription there is a mistake and I will get a pill that gives me relief, still waiting, so much misssery this small little pill has caused, the lies, the sickness, the swamp we are being thrown into, I'm at my end, I'm not one to throw in the towel, been through more than any human should endure, but this one is to big to conquer, this one is taking me down a road that I'm sure isn't the outcome that "They" perceived, or maybe they did, maybe just maybe conquering this epic opioid crisis included throwing chronic pain people down the drain, oh wait, you don't want to give up your pain pills, pills that are killing you. I suggest you get psychological help. You must. Don't you know that depression causes pain! Hmmmm I thought pain causes depression, my head is spinning my spine is screaming, psych. Ok call psych. Dr., do you think that my mommy and daddy have something to do with the stabbing pain running down my back. I can't seem to get relief, my pain pills are a ghost of something that used to be real, dr, am I imagining that my personal pain management is spiraling out of control due to the laws put on dr's to reduce opioids and not the pain. Am I imagining that people in chronic debilitating pain are being treated like drug dealers/ addicts / criminals who pray on the innocent, who reading this has been treated with understanding and compassion? Who reading this is doing so from either bed or couch? Who reading this would love one day, just one to go shopping, hold hands on a walk, make plans for a evening out, clean up your house? Remember back in the good old days when your pain medication abled you to kinda sorta do that? I haven't been here for some time, I apologize for not returning a timely response to some of you that have asked, but as you all know, pain in its chronic state is not a good friend to anyone, bless you all. Thank you for caring.

Got my script from Frys (Kroger) in Az. They were 5/325. After taking the Camber Percocet for 3 weeks I wasn’t sure what to expect. They are better for sure. No headache or that weird think your going to have a heart attack feeling. Not lethargic. I do have to say I don’t think they are as strong as the Actavis I was taking before Walgreens switched to poison. Another thing was they took an RX coupon which dropped the price to $16. The chain pharmacy’s won’t let you use the discount cards on controlled substances. Anything to make it harder for chronic pain people to get their meds. So tired of this fake war on opiates. I guess we’ve gone back to the dark ages. Or the old adage well your getting old. So in the 21st century because we are older we should take pain. I call BS. We shouldn’t have to be in pain. Sorry for the long post again. You guys have been so helpful in our ongoing struggle against big pharma.

Re: Big red balloon (# 371) Expand Referenced Message

Big red balloon,

Hugs...from my couch to yours. I see you've been to the dumpster today. Me too. Words like you have spoken come from despair (the dumpster, down in the dumps). Now if we'd just get some stinking help for our depression, we wouldn't be meeting like this....at the dump. Lol. Sorry, a bit of dark humor on a dark day. They, the professionals, have this soooo back-assward! So they want us to get off our couches to come to their couches. Talk about "it". Our need for love, our lack of fullfillment, our present hopelessness. And then....we won't need all those nasty little pills. Because, it's not pain, doncha know? It's depression. Funny, some of us have never truly known real depression. Well.....not until they quit treating our chronic pain. Then......when a few poor souls decide to end their lives, due to unrelenting pain,.....tadaaaaaa! You see, it WAS depression. Untreated....DEPRESSION! Oh my, what a world we presently find ourselves in.

Big Red, I am so sorry you are in such a world of hurt. You and many others. You are so not alone, but many lack the words to describe despair, as you have. My participation in the world around me has everything to do with being able to control the beast. The one in my joints, my head, my neck, my feet. That beast. The one we all know so well. So, maybe we ARE getting to know that other beast (depression), but that is due to doctors who are (rightfully, in many cases) afraid to treat our pain, for fear of losing their liscence. And THAT is due to dogooder politicians, who end up doing no good for people like us. Abusers will still abuse. But at least they can say they've done THEIR part, by golly. See how many fewer pain pills that are being perscribed? God help us all. Please.

So sorry to hear what your going thru!!! Please hang in there, things will get better!! I know we all go thru A lot sometimes some longer than other(I've had bad LUCK or crappy karma going on 12yrs) so I know how it can be to see no end to it. I'm a good person I don't rob or steal or hurt anyone and I can't seem to shake this black cloud over me. N now my mom's talking about something like your talking about it killed me to hear those words out of her mouth mad me so mad and sad I pray for her and EVERYONE going thru this monster of a life or so called.

Thank you Rawdog and JMJ, you took the time to respond to my post and open your hearts, and quite frankly, that truly has touched me with caring warmth, to know that I'm not alone. People who respond with compassion to someone that is hurting in this world, Rare indeed.

Oh how beast is alive!! Raging full mouth of sharp teeth, I found a smile forming as I read your words. Love the analogy of the dumpster too. Well time for me to call the professional garbage removers cuz this receptacle is overflowing. For now, my heartfelt prayers to all.

Is Camber Pharmaceuticals (10-325) Oxycodone/Acetaminophen a legitimate pharmaceutical for pain management? Why all of a sudden did my pharmacy start dispensing these, just recently? I know McKesson will get the cheapest for pharmacies to increase profit margins. Common sense. Would it mean that most pharmacies here in OAHU, Hawaii probably carrying the same?

Re: Gary (# 377) Expand Referenced Message

I was sick for 3 month’s post-taking the Camber after 2 month’s of taking this generic percocet. It took a while to figure out while taking it if my temp spikes, vomitting, diarrehea, increased pain in every joint, seemingly coming from inside/out itchy sporadic skin patches of lil bumps, severe wrap-around stomach pressure & pain, headaches & ear ringing/pressure/vertigo were because of this generic Camber. I truly thought I’d had beginning of a sudden terminal illness. To figure this out day by day I’d eliminate all my well-meds, supplements while continuing this generic so was able to nail it down to where Camber & many generic percocets have been without us knowing been re-formulated. My Pain mgmt Dr agreed w/me as well as my primary Dr so they wrote script for “brand Percocet only, allergic to fillers.” Alot of good that’s done me because NO PHARMACY HAVE AVAILABILITY TO STOCK NAME BRAND & HAVE BEEN LEGALLY INSTRUCTED TO NOT PROVIDE IT TO CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS; you must be in hospital or terminally ill to receive brand. ?!? Who knows who to believe. In meantime I’ve just received another generic; I requested a “no dye’s added” thinking it could be dye filler allergies we are having. My new pill is round, white & ny Rhode’s pharma. I’ll let u all know how it goes this month. e all must stick together as legitimate chronic pain patient’s.
xoxo
