I have taken bupropion SR 200MG which is blue & marked MU13, my recent prescription was filled from A different pharmacy company. This prescription is Bupropion HCL SR 200 MG which is a peach pill marked 555. Is the 555 the same as MU13? ## Yes, the tablet with the 555 marking also contains 200mgs of extended release Bupropion. My perscription for bupropion SR 150mg tablets - I understand what all that means. I want to know what the SA in front of WATSON LABS means? does this mean it was made in South Africa or South America? My pharmacy has switched something and my generic used to be a purple round pill and is now a white round pill. ## The SA stands for sustained action, it's just another way of designating that it's a time released formulation of the medication. I started on wellbutrin and was happier and thinner. Then Kaiser switched me to generic Bupropion because they don't cover brand name and ever since I've experienced worse depression, gained weight and have constant edema in stomach and legs. I'm really concerned about this. Doctors and pharmacists are always too busy or distracted to listen to questions or find answers as to WHY this is, so I'm done. I'm going off and never coming back to these drugs. I guess I'll start with St. John's Wort and Bacopa. ## I find it sad that doctor's and pharmacists couldn't take a couple minutes of their time to answer this question for you on the spot. i was given a round prple pill and told it was wellubutrin, it has rph on one side and b41 on the other.....what is it? ## That is correct, this is a 150mg controlled release Bupropion tablet, the active ingredient in Wellbutrin, an antidepressant that is also used for smoking cessation. I cannot find a picture of this that matches my prescription, and am concerned it is not Buproprion - 150 dosage. I have been on it for quite awhile, and all of a sudden became extremely depressed. It changed in color, and there is no picture available that I can find. ## I don't have an image to post for you, due to copyright reasons, but yes, there is a tablet with the marking 737 that contains 150mgs of Bupropion in a time released formulation. Feedback about Watson Bupropion XL ## is Watson bupropion XL better than other brands? ## While Watson is generally sought out to be one of the more commonly known brands it doesn't necessarily mean that it is better than some others out there. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may agree with one medication over the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. When you switch brand names, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the ingredients or fillers that they put with it. I read the two drugs should not be combined and I can't find out why. I have been prescribed both of these and didn't know til now it might be harmful. Can you tell me why it is harmful to combine these two substances? ## I'm not finding anything listed about them being harmful if taken together. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist about it? Where did you read that the combination was dangerous?

i am taking daxid 100 and bupron 300 daily 2 but still i have depression now then is it right treatment ## Hi. First, depression is a tricky disorder to treat because it is highly specific to each person. So, what works perfectly well for one person will not work for many others at all. Also, Bupron is a specific "generic brand" of bupropion, produced by a manufacturer in India. I personally have not consistently heard good things about it. For instanced, I've heard some of my colleagues say that the common bupropion side effect, weight loss, does not usually seem to happen with Bupron. So, there are some possibilities why this treatment may not be working for you.

I'm wondering if anyone has switched from the brand wellbutrin to the generic buprop 24 and has noticed a difference. It seems to me that my depression is returning on the generic - or is it just my imagination? ## No, it is not likely just your imagination. There can be fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient between the name brand and the generic. The FDA does allow them to differ by as much as plus, or minus 20%. For most people, these differences aren't significant and don't cause any problems. I was taking 300mg one day and 150mg the following day.I DID THIS for several weeks and decided to take 300mg everyday. On the 3rd day, I felt totally drugged. It was frightening because I was not in control. I was afraid to drive. I was self conscious conversing with others. ## Have you consulted your doctor? I take 200 mg. Bupropion a day but leaves me very anxious -would 300 mg a day stop the anxiety? ## Have you consulted your doctor? If the medication is what's actually causing your anxiety, then it is only logical to think that a higher dose would make it worse, rather than help improve it. You should talk to your doctor about it, so they can determine the cause and help you find a solution.

The maximum daily dose shouldn't exceed 450mgs, taken as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you miss a tablet, you should take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for the next dose, in this case, skip the missed dose and take the new one, then continue with your regular dosing schedule. I just started taking this med 100mg twice a day. I'ts only een a week but I feel more aggitated, will this go away? I feel bad for my kids and Husband. I don't want to be snappy at them, I was hoping it would improve my mood so I would be more Happy. Please if anyone could give me any input I would Greatly appreciate it! ## I, too, felt more anxious when first starting.
