IMy doctor switch from 75 mg of ic bupropion hcl to 150mg of ic bupropion sr I dont want to gain weight.People tell me wich is better. ## The only difference here is the dosage and the fact that the new one he prescribed for you is a sustained release tablet, which means you take one tablet a day and it is slowly released, rather than releasing all of the medication at once. The side effects, however, remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. If you weren't gaining weight on it, then there isn't much chance that the new dosage is going to have that effect on you, either. Are there any comments or questions? ## I WOULD LIKE THE SIDR AFFECTS OF BUPROPION 150MGSR TAB WATTS

What is the difference between XL Bupropion and SR Bupropion ## The XL stands for extended release, while the SR stands for slow release. Both pills are released over a longer period of time, although I'm not sure why two similar variations exist. This is something I have been curious about to with many other pills. But I would assume that the XL and SR Bupropion are manufactured by separate companies and it may help to distinguish between certain brands if needed. This is just my educated guess, but it may have nothing to do with that. If it's really bugging you I can look up the manufacturer(s) if you have the imprint of the pills handy. I would probably suggest contacting the manufacturer's of the pills for more scientific reasoning behind it. Hope this helps!

I have two prescriptions of Bupropion. One is Buprop 12 SR Tab 150mg(W) the other Bupropion SR 150mg tablet. Are they the same for all intent and purpose? ## Yes, they are both the same medication, Bupropion, in a 150mg time released formulation, the active ingredient in Wellbutrin. This is used to treat depression and nicotine addiction. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and dry mouth. Are these meds all the same and/or what is the difference?

Round Pill (small) imprinted with WPI3332. Supposedly Bupropion XL 300mg but it seems much smaller than it should be. ## I just received a prescription of Bupropion XL, and it looks totally different that what I've received for the same medication and strength in the past (I use Aetna RX by mail). In the past it has been a capsule, and now it is a tablet with the same lettering you describe WPI 3332. Very unusual for there to be such a dramatic change and nothing by way of explanation. I called pharmacy and was told that the pharmacy had started using a different manufacturer for the generic and that more than one manufacturer often manufactures a generic drug once the patent runs out. WHAT MEDICATIONS CAN I NOT MIX WITH BUPROPN HCL 150MG XL ## Bupropion is an antidepressant that is also used for smoking cessation. As to the medications it should not be used with, I checked and there are actually over 300 different ones, so far too many for me to list here. However, if you have specific ones that you are looking for information on, I will gladly look them up for you. Can you post back with more information? One medication class I can tell you that you have to stay away from are MAOIs.
