I have been out of lisinopril for a couple of weeks, and have noticed my feet are swelling up, and was wondering if not taking it could cause the swelling. ## Hello, Donna! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. Suddenly stopping such a medication can cause rebound effects, which may include dangerously elevated blood pressure, heart rate, and peripheral edema as you're experiencing, all of which could lead to heart attack, stroke or congestive heart failure. You need to see your doctor to have this checked out, as soon as possible, and in the future, be careful not to run out of your medication. You should always keep a supply on hand and make sure to pick up a refill, before running out. Is there anything else I can help with?

Found this pill portion on the basement counter where my son gets ready for school. Any help id'ing it would be great, as he's been thru rehab as well as counseling. Hoping he's still clean, but I'm going to be vigilant while he's living back home. Any help is appreciated so much! ## Hi Steven - could you please share as many details as you can about this piece of the pill which you found? What color is it? It is more rounded like a pill, or oblong like a tablet? Are there any number of letters appearing on that piece? Hoping it's maybe just part of an over the counter tablet or something. ## Thank you for your reply. I didn't realize that I had completely forgotten to post what little features the broken portion of pill has. This pill is white, with a brown/...

The pills I have has the number 3973 on one side and a v shape on the other. ## This tablet is actually manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, but Accord is a licensed distributor and they do list them as containing 20mgs of Lisinopril. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am taking metolar 25 twice a day for the last 26 years. I am 71 now. I would like to know the possible side effects so that I can inform my doctor who keeps on telling me not to stop it. ## Hello, Sunny! How are you? If you have high blood pressure or a cardiac condition, you should keep taking it, as directed by your doctor. Letting such conditions continue out of control my result in possibly fatal conditions. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. What are your particular concerns about taking it?

I use 1 tablet in two days I also take a drug for blood pressure .Please advise me for better ## I took one tablet of Mobizox for back pain and now Im feeling Dizziness... could u lemme know the reason y? ## Hello, Sudhir! How are you? What blood pressure medication do you take? There is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, Diclofenac, in this medication that may counteract your blood pressure medication. Thus, it may not be safe for you to take. Ishika, how are you feeling? Has the dizziness eased? That can be a normal side effect of this medication combination, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, increased risk of bleeding, headache and stomach irritation.

I was taking lisnopril 10 mg and my bp was in control. Then I consulted my family doc. He gave me eritel 40, which is not working. My Bp is not lowering. Pls advise. ## Hello, Joseph! How are you? Not every medication works for everyone that tries it. You may need to go back on Lisinopril, or try something else entirely. Taking bystolic and my body is becoming more and more stiff. I now have trouble bending and straightening my spine. I'm walking hunched over. Anyone else have this experience on bystolic ## I didn't experience it with Bystolic, but I did have one blood pressure medication that caused very similar problems for me, it made me so miserable that I had to stop taking it. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and dry cough as listed by the FDA. There is, however, no reason to remain miserable. Please see your doctor, there are other medications you can try. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for reply. I will follow up on this with my doctor.

I have been taking Metoprolol Succ ER 50 MG from Tasan for 2 years, and now CVS changed my prescription to Taeth. Is it true as CVS stated that Tasan has been discontinued? Has anyone changed from Tasan to Taeth? ## TASAN simply stands for a Tablet manufactured by Sandoz pharmaceuitcals, TAETH means this tablet is manufactured by Ethex pharmaceuticals. I do not know if the other one has been discontinued, but they are the same medication. ## CVS recently changed my 100mg dose of Metoprolol Succ TASAN to TAETH 50 mg x2 - with the same story as you got about TASAN supposedly discontinuing the 100 MG dose. To me it seems they're simply using up their supply so I get to take horse pills times two a day this month.. I mean really thanks CVS lol ## I picked up my metoprol 50mg. At cvs. Mf...

What would be safe to take for sleep with taking a heartpill metoprolol.I don't take these as prescribed .I take 1 maybe a day instead of prescribed 2a day.but I can't seem to relax n accept sleep as I should..yvonne ## Hello, Yvonne! How are you? Why aren't you taking them as prescribed? If your heart rate or blood pressure is up and/or your heart function is off, that can affect your ability to sleep. Taking them as prescribed might help resolve this issue for you. In turn, better sleep also helps with blood pressure, heart rate and heart function. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, increased urination and hypotension.

I have been taking one 25mg of lasartan daily for high B/P now for several years. I have cramps in my legs and even in my neck at times. Can I take slo-mag while on lasartan? ## Hello, Evelyn! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between Losartan and magnesium, but it's always best to double check to be sure. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and diarrhea. However, in many cases, leg cramps are caused by low potassium levels, which can be a result of the extra fluid loss from taking Losartan, thus, it would be best to speak to your doctor so they can check your levels and discover the actual cause and proper treatment. Is there anything else I can help with?

i took amvasc 5mg before(not everyday) then after i discover that my bp turned out 177/92 i shift to amvasc 10mg ,now after 3weeks my bp lowered to 127/76, can i shift back to take 5mg again? ## Hello, Maria! How are you? First of all, you should be aware that this medication must be taken consistently, every day, in order to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to control your blood pressure. You can't skip days or just take it, when you feel you need it. As to the drop, no, it would be best to continue taking it as directed by your doctor and not to lower it, unless they specifically instruct you to do so. There is no actual cure for high blood pressure, it can only be controlled via medications, exercise and diet. Letting your blood pressure go to high could result in se...

What is the effect of periods on male fertility? ## A female's period has no effect on male fertility, as explained by the NIH. It only affects hers, since most women will not be able to get pregnant, while on their period, since it is past their fertile time of ovulation. However, sperm can survive for awhile, so if it is near her time of ovulation and they engage in intercourse, she may still get pregnant. I am taking Twynsta 80/10 and my BP has been 120/80 for some time, but recently, I found that it increased to 140 over 100. But is Twynsta responsible for this? ## Hello, Dappyson! How are you? It is doubtful that the medication has caused the elevation. As listed by the U.S. FDA it is more prone to cause drops in blood pressure, as well as nausea, dizziness and increased urination. What were the circumstances under which you checked your blood pressure? It can vary throughout the day, due to activity levels, foods you've eaten, other medications you take and etc. How often has it been elevated at those numbers?

Sometimes, one is just a licensed distributor for a medication from a different manufacturer, so it is possible that Lupin makes it and it's being distributed by Watson, or vice-versa. What are the markings on them? That would enable me to research it for you and let you know the original manufacturer. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! Is there a problem if I drink grapefruit juice while I am on Coveram 10? ## Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between grapefruit juice and Coveram (perindopril arginine).
