During this time, I was also having green tea with lemons in order to lose weight. Would this counteract or interact with the lercanidipine? ## Hello, Ten Ten! How are you? No, those shouldn't affect it. However, how long have you been taking it? If you just started it recently, it may not have been long enough for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, yet. It usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. ## Hi ten ten, I have had the same response with lercanidipine. Hi, I am a male 64 years old and have been on Losartan 100mg for around three years. I have put on weight, have horrible backache, tiredness, itchy skin, and other symptoms. I bike 15 kms a day and have been on a diet eating one main meal a day with cereal at lunch time. I've recently started taking 50 mg at 9am then the other 50 mgs at 9 pm. I check my blood pressure three times a day, and it is usually between 130/72 with a pulse of 99. Not usually above or below this range. My question is, can i reduce to 50 mgs a day as my bp is stable to reduce the side effects? Or is there another tablet that doesn't make me put on weight? Ive read Benicar is similar drug with no weight increase, or Dirovan? Thank you. ## I have been on Benicar for 5 years with no side effect at all and no...

Hi I am wondering how long it will take me to get over the major withdrawals from the Clonidine. I have been taking it since my nervous beak down. I have been begging for my Doctor to wean me off of it within the 1st few weeks after starting it. It says on the paperwork that I can't just stop. I used to be on .18 mgs, then I made it less which is .8 total per day. Now the Doc says I will NOT ever be taken off of it. This Clonidine makes me feel like total crap & I want to be off of it 100% as I will be helping victims and their family members get all the right answers, which they deserve. I am NOT as depressed as I was & the only reason why, is because I know I am doing the right thing to help with my heart. My grandpa passed Feb 1999, grandma March 7th 1999 from a broken he...

Updated in AmlodipineWhite round pill ## U135 Clonidine – Started taking this medication about a year ago for Anxiety and PTSD. After trying numerous medications for the past 25 years for anxiety and depression nothing had helped but made my situation worse until I started taking Clonidine 0.1 MG TAB ACT. Things that seemed impossible for me to do such as go outside my home had become something I was able to do because of this medication. When I received a new Clonidine refill at WalMart I noticed that the pill looked different that what I was taking before. Instead of the small round pink pill I had been taking the pill I had just received was ten times larger, oval and white. I immediately googled the pill number U135 to make sure that the medication was correct which it was, so I took the pill. The...

I suffer from severe fibromyalgia for years now. It is documented and has been acknowledged by other Drs. I have recently relocated to Youngstown Ohio. I recently visited a doctor to become a patient for my pain and other unrelated issues- high blood pressure, etc. The doctor pretty much asked me to leave the office and refused to even consider treating my other nonpain issues AND told me that no other Dr. would bother to see me either. My only recourse for ANY medical treatment would be to visit a hospital-apparently here I am untouchable. I cannot begin to believe that this is the norm here. Any help, suggestions, clinics, etc is greatly appreciated. I am suffering daily and need someone to help. ## What was his reasoning for dismissing you as a patient and saying no other doctor woul...

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and 3 meds were added to what I already take (I also have MS). I started using a weekly med organizer to mainly keep track of steroid tapering. I forgot to put my Ramipril and didn't realize until I began sweating profusely and headache. I think it was 3 missed days. I have been on this medication for approx 4 years. I take 5mg daily. I am 54 yr old female. Are these symptoms being caused by missed doses or is it something else? ## It is hard to say, it may be due to missing the medication, but it could also be due to some other cause. I have been taking amlodenk 10mg for a month now and I have started experiencing swelling on my ankles. Is it possible that I am experiencing side effect of this drug? ## Amlo-Denk contains the active ingredient Amlodipine. From what I could gather, "swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of this medication. Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a692044.html#side-effects To my understanding, these types of side effects may not go away until you stop taking what's causing them to manifest in the first place. For that reason I'd strongly recommend contacting your doctor as soon as your able to, in hopes of finding a safer alternative to Amlodipine. Have you had this reaction with any other blood pressure medications in t...
