I recently was prescribed the above medication....0.1 mg tabs two times per day and it certainly seems to have made a positive improvement....has anyone else had this or other experiences??? ## I was prescribed this medication about four years ago, for high blood pressure...0.2 mg two times a day, and for the last three years it has been under control. Can you stop this med right away if there's too many side effects? I was on metoprolol, that stuff is terrible. Tapering off it now as it kept causing high blood pressure spikes. ## Hello, Ralph! Capsule, white in color with AK60 on top half in blue letters. 3 blue non connecting blue stripes on the bottom half. Valsartan manufactured by Sandoz works fine for me. Valsartan manufactured by Qualitest causes me to have headaches and swollen ankles. ## Hi Beverly, I've seen a lot of posts here dissecting different manufacturer's that work better than others, including ways to ensure you receive the proper brand that works best. Something I would encourage you to do is contact your doctor prior to getting your next prescription written, and ask him/her to specify a particular manufacturer's name on the Rx. By doing this, whichever pharmacy you go to will now have to find a way to abide by the doctor's request or quite simply refer you to another location that does carry the appropriate brand. The doctor took me off Losartan and now my ankles keep swelling. Could this be the cause? ## It is possible. round white pill ## This is Atenolol 50mg and chlorthalidone 25mg, or brand name Tenoric. It is a blood pressure medication used to lower blood pressure, and has a water pill in it as well. I am currently taking Lisinopril 10MG and Carvedilol 12.5MG in the morning and my blood pressure remains high normally at 144/79. I have been taking Doxazosin for 2 months and in the last 2 weeks I have had bad neck stiffness and shoulder pain radiating to my arms and also sweating and sore muscles. I went to the doctor and he said I had the flu. It is 2 weeks and no fever or cold just alot of pain that does not go with tylenol or any other pain reliever. I also am crying alot and feeel very depressed which has never been a problem of mine at all. last night I was thinking of dying. I ache all or my upper body and my neck is terrible. My Dr. has put me on Benazapril/Amlodipine for high blood pressure. I get terrible leg cramps in the night, and have to get up and walk around to relieve them. Is this unusual?
