Taking stress echocardiogram this AM & was wondering withholding taking medication until after procedure. Please advise. The imprint on the pill is Z with an line through the pill and 2083 on the bottom. The pill is small and round and its color is a peach color. what is the difference between ran amlodipine and norvasc amlodipine? ## Norvasc (Amlodipine Besylate) and RAN-Amlodipine are both one in the same. Both are also known as just Amlodipine. As the U.S. population rapidly ages, I believe that a tablet's size must be made manageable for increasing numbers of us with arthritis, back and neck problems, myopia, shaky hands, etc. Miniscule pills dropped and lost on household floors require one to stop everything and crawl on hands and knees with reading glasses and a flashlight to find every last sucker --or better still, immediate vacuuming, as they are a lethal menace to infants and pets if left. for hypertension ## I'm 52 and hypertensive. Is it ok if i take amvasc 10mg in the morning, then metoprolol 100mg in the afternoon, and carvidilol 25mg in the evening? can i take levodyn as well as losartan potassium ## That is probably something that you will need to discuss with your doctor. No one over the internet can possibly know your medical history or how this drug affects you, as well as the benefits or disadvantages that it provides you when combined with another drug. My personal opinion is that it may not be a good idea to combine two high blood pressure medications; but rather use 1 of the medications along with some sort of natural remedy for hypertension. Also keep an eye on your diet and stay with low sodium foods such as fruits and vegetables.

i iam 65, had m.i. inferior wall in 2000, and undergone angioplasty and stenting. I have diagnoses of high blood pressure, idiopathic hypersomnia and sleep apnea. I use the above medications and a Cpap machine. I also believe i may be perimenopausal. I have had nagging fluid retention in my hands, feet and sometimes face. I take 400 mg of provigil to stay alert during day but still feel tired most of time. I have no energy for exercise, sex, etc. Some days i am very hyped by the meds. I have also had tingling in my hands and sometimes feet usually when I have increased fluid. What do I do? Have not had any luck from my doctors who feel I need these meds. My thyroid is fine. ## I take ziac, prevacid. Is there a negative reaction with Cyclobenzaprine 10 mg?

It was found on the street...it looks like a 10 mg Propranolol (the orange ones, which i used to take) as it is the same color, size, and it's round. Except one side says 25 (and has a "divider" on that side, too) and the other side is blank...nothing. I've searched everything I can on the web, including "pill identifier" which normally matches the pills but nothing this time. No clue and it's driving me crazy! ## That's a very vague imprint and I can't find anything listed with just a 25 on it, either, in any of our prescription drug resources. I have been taking exforge hct for several years. I am convinced that I have a chronic stuffed nose as a side effect. I have had surgery. But the stuffed nose returned. I told my doctor that prescribed this medication that I think my stuffed nose is because of this but he continues to prescribe it. I continue to take it . And I dont sleep well with a chronic stuffed nose. ## Exforge HCT contains Amlodipine, Valsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, this combination medication is used to treat high blood pressure and some cardiac conditions. And, yes, the nasal congestion is actually listed as a very common side effect of using this medication, along with nausea, peripheral edema and dizziness. Have you tried asking your doctor about switching to a different medication?

What is a common ingredient found in Losartan, Lipitor, and Zoloft? The first two gave me a dry hacking cough, and now I am getting the same side effect from Zoloft. Please help! ## There is no common ingredient, but each of them can cause that type of problem, in some people, due to the way they work in the body. Losartan is the active ingredient in that one, it's a generic for Cozaar, which is an ARB used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. Zoloft contains the active ingredient Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Zocor contains the active ingredient Simvastatin, it is used to help lower cholesterol. My friend is taking verapamil hcl er 120 mg and simvastatin for cholestrol. He has been taking the 2 for five years now. He now lives in NC and the Dr here said they inter act so he is changeing the cholestrol med. Does any one know if this is true? I don't see why the other Dr he went to for years would not know that.
