I had bypass surgery for triple vessel disease in dec2005 for throat pain while walking.Now my BP is 170/78,162/75,150/70.I am now taking metocard xl50 at 6am and 4pm,valent80 at9pm,deplatt A 75 at 2pm,stator 20 at 9pm.Please suggest any other medications needed to bring down the BP to normal and also the reason for my hypertension.

I have been a patient of hypertension for last 16 yrs. It remained within normal range with regular medication. During May-June'11 the BP was higher despite medication. On July 1, I felt trouble in speech. My doctors suspected a mild stroke but there was no sign in the vocal cord. The tightness of speech was also noticed one day only.
