It’s not everyday but feels like it’s getting worse. ## I have been given losartan combo with HTZ for several years for Blood Pressure. At age 70 voice was suddenly barely there. At 72 I see no hope of regaining voice. Run to a good ENT DOCTOR who will look at your throat and vocal chords. Determine soon reason for throat issue. Medical professionals are not quick to blame a medicine that has been perscribed for you. However at least locate possible cause & treatment before you lose voice. ## Losartan has been known to cause dry mouth, dry throat, and a cough, as possible side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, and frequent urination. Once it gets lik...
Has anybody experienced anxiety, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, and abdominal pain after starting Lisinopril? Note that I have never had problems with anxiety and do not believe it is a panic attack. Did not have this issue until on this medication. ## Lisinopril is commonly used to help lower blood pressure. These could be the signs of a serious adverse reaction, you need to contact your doctor immediately. ## I have constant anxiety. Feeling of doom. Cough. Body tingles. Trouble sleeping because of the anxiety. ## The Lisinopril can cause this, it is rare, but highly possible. My doctor recently had me try it and I experienced severe problems, as well. After taking Solco Healthcare Losartan for many years, with no problems, I switched to another less expensive brand, Aurobindo. I soon began to notice my bp reads were significantly higher and, indeed, I too developed a cough. After 2 months of this I switched back to my Solco Losartan and, thankfully, my bp reads have once again stabilized and my coughing has ceased. In all fairness, I cannot say for certain that my cough was caused from the Aurobindo med, I only know the duration of my cough was during this time period. ## I took Aurobindo losartan 50 mg. for three to four weeks and experienced the same symptoms as you, but my cough still persists. I had tried Teva's losartan and that drug was totally ineffective. Just wanted to say "thank you" for posting that Solco's...
I currently take 50 mg losartan daily. Would taking magnesium tartrate pose a risk? ## Nothing specific was found with regards to Losartan and Magnesium interacting with one-another, so it should be okay [1]. What I did read, however, is that it is not recommended to take Magnesium if you consume alcohol regularly. "Excessive ethanol (e.g., alcoholism) may result in increased urinary excretion of magnesium. Avoid high intakes of ethanol while taking magnesium salts." Source: [1] UCLA Health Drug Interactions Checker, always double check with your doctor or pharmacist.
Just coming off Bisoprolol and Amiodarone and going back to Atenolol. I currently have bad problems with sleeping as I wake up at 5am. What could cause this problem? ## Even when you don't abuse a medication, and aren't addicted to it, you do develop a tolerance to anything you take for awhile, so it is normal to experience some withdrawal effects when coming off of it, you can also experience side effects from going back on the Atenolol, even if you took it, previously, and both of these can include trouble sleeping, as well as blood pressure changes, dizziness, and heart rate changes. It may take a few weeks, before things settle back down, and your sleeping schedule improves. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for advice will try and be patient with the Aten...

To answer your question, they both contain Propranolol Hydrochloride 10 mg. The P 10 version appears to be manufactured by Heritage Pharmaceuticals (NDC code 23155-110). I will speak to my doctor but also want to see what those who quit lisinopril have to say about the weaning period and side affects while cutting down and quitting . Please advise. This is horrible beyond anything I have ever experienced. Please help if you can ! ## Sorry, I just saw this post with more details. In this case, since you are on several medications, it is hard to say which one might be causing your symptoms, if they are due to a combination of them, or if they may be unrelated. As to stopping Lisinopril, sometimes if ...

I presently am taking Verapamil er 180 mg at night, mfg by Caraco and I have tried other brands/generics with too many side effects. ## Unfortunately, there is no directory of what pharmacy carries a product from any given manufacturer that anyone can refer to for you. However, if you can post back with your general location, someone might be able to recommend a pharmacy in your area. As to any other options, the only thing you can really do is ask at your various local pharmacies, if they don't have it in stock, one might be able to order it in for you. Verapamil is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac...

Can some one tell me what to expect when weaning off of 20 mg Lisinopril...am down to 15 mg now no effects but now trying to go to 12.5 and today is first day and seem to be having some effects of being hot and feeling like i want to panic. I have been on it for 14 months for blood pressure . can any one advise how to wean off I just plan on 2.5 mg cuts every 10 days or so unless I get better advice ? ## Why are you stopping it? Has your doctor approved your doing so? If you were taking it for high blood pressure, you shouldn't stop without a physician's approval, because if it's the only thing controlling your blood pressure, it will become elevated, again, even if you taper off of it slowly. Are you monitoring your blood pressure and heart rate?

My name Gloria. 75 years. Have High blood pressure For years prescribed Pharmapress 20 mg. Atenolol 50mg and Ridac water pill. Dr took away Ridac and replaced it with Amlodipine5mg once a day. My ankles look swollen and i am putting on weight. Dr said the Ridac takes away the Calcium out of my bones. I really feel I should be taking the waterpill. Please advice urgently. Thankyou. ## Hi Gloria, Sorry to hear about your situation with Amlodipine. "swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of this medication. So fortunately, you may have to talk to your doctor about discontinuing it anyways if the swelling doesn't subside. Hopefully then, he might reconsider putting you back on the water pill with a calcium supplement. There are als...
