Lisinopril Quitting

Can some one tell me what to expect when weaning off of 20 mg Lisinopril...am down to 15 mg now no effects but now trying to go to 12.5 and today is first day and seem to be having some effects of being hot and feeling like i want to panic. I have been on it for 14 months for blood pressure . can any one advise how to wean off I just plan on 2.5 mg cuts every 10 days or so unless I get better advice ?

Why are you stopping it? Has your doctor approved your doing so?

If you were taking it for high blood pressure, you shouldn't stop without a physician's approval, because if it's the only thing controlling your blood pressure, it will become elevated, again, even if you taper off of it slowly.

Are you monitoring your blood pressure and heart rate?
