I'm a HR Manager for a new company and I put a random test policy in place per ownership request. I did a random yesterday and I received a non-negative. So I need to know if one of the medications that I take daily could cause a false positive. Here is the medications: Tarka, propranolol, and bupropion.

Can lisinopril and propranolol er 60 mg be prescribe for blood pressure at the same time with no problems. ## Hi, Marylou! Yes, they sure can and it is often done when someone's blood pressure is found to be extremely high, or if they've proved to have resistant hypertension. Many times, combining such medications causes them to act synergistically, which improves how well they lower blood pressure levels. Learn more Propranolol details here. Learn more Lisinopril details here. But the patient should know to watch for the signs of hypotension, which may include headache, dizziness, high heart rate and shallow breathing. And some side effects which may occur from these medications can include nausea, drowsiness and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I am on clonidine hcl 0.2 mg. twice a day. I started on the Mylan brand and only took it for one month. Then I went to a different drug store and they gave me the Actavis brand. I have been taking the Actavis brand a few months now, but it seemed like the Mylan was better. I just got a new perscription of the Mylan brand again and just took my first pill. Can you all tell me which of these two brands of clonidine hcl work best for you or if you can tell any difference. After I am on the Mylan again for awhile I will post here again and let you know if it is really better then the Actavis. Anything anybody can tell me that have tried both of these brands of this medication would be of great help. Thanks, nora ## Hi, Nora! Sorry about the problem you've had. To clear it up for ...

Does cutting metoprolol er 100 in half at the score have any effect on the extended release? ## To my understanding, cutting an extended release pill in half does have an effect on its time-release properties. I honestly don't know if this only pertains to "capsules" rather than "tablets", since they are different forms in and of themselves. Often times the score line does indicate that the pill can be divided in half, but unless your doctor gives you the ok, I would suggest playing it safe in either case. You may even want to talk to your doctor about lowering your dosage to 50mg Metoprolol succinate extended-release tablets. This way you can always take another dose without worrying about messing up the time-release properties. I hope this helps! Does anyone else k...

How many Clonidine's of 0.01 mg could cause an overdose?? A friend of mine has taken more than prescribed and I would like to know if what she did take is safe or not. ## My mistake. It's clonidine 0.1 mg ## Without knowing how many they took, it's difficult to say. When it comes to overdosing, it can vary according to the medication taken, the person's overall health and their tolerance to the medication in question. In other words, someone with a very high tolerance that has taken something for years may not have any problems taking a very high dose of something, where a fraction of it may cause an overdose in someone that has not been on it very long or who is in questionable health. However, yes this one can be dangerous due to its mechanism of action, so if you'...

I don't want to take any meddication manufactured in India, China, Sudan,or any third world countries, I want to Ingest, eat and wear only products manufactured in the USA please HELP! ## HI, Lucile! How are you? I do understand your stance on this and our country does need as much support as we can give…. However, I think that you are going to run into problems if you try to do this with your medication. A pharmacy isn't going to let you pick whose Atenolol you receive to fill your prescription. They generally stock whichever one was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to reorder and that's the one you get, when you go in for a refill. Unlike your grocery store, they don't offer you a selection to chose from. I really wish that I had better news fo...

Do not take this medication for high blood pressure...sure it will work, in less than 3 days it dropped my bp to 90/55, i felt like i was going to die...and when you discontinue it you will rebound like crazy, heart rate will shoot through the roof, blood pressure will rise dramatically and the headaches and head pressure will be severe...I ended up in the emergency room twice trying to get off this medication and still can't get off it without having severe effects. Do a search for the study the nimh did on trying to get off this drug 30 years ago to see what it does to people. Please avoid this drug at any cost. ## Sorry about the problem you've had taking Clonidine. IS IT SAFE TO TAKE NORVASC AFTER EXPIRATION DATE ## Norvasc contains the active ingredient Amlodipine and while it doesn't get dangerous once it's past the expiration date, it can start to lose effectiveness. Will Zolam 1.0 reduce blood pressure due to anxiety in the short term? ## Zolam (Alprazolam) is in a class of medications called benzodiazepines. These types of medications work by decreasing "abnormal excitement" within the brain. So it's possible that it may not have a direct effect on one's blood pressure, since that's not necessarily how it works. However from my own observation, if one is in a state of serenity or calmness, their blood pressure is also bound to follow suit, eventually reflecting lower levels. That's just my theory and I may be wrong, but it does make sense logically. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Interesting comments regarding side effects. I've experienced similar. I've been on Meto 50 mg TR for 6 weeks. May be a day or two during those 6 weeks not taking the med. But I experienced the nausea, loss of appetite, etc. I'm just wondering how long it will take for the drug to completely leave my system. I'm doing a test and my doctor wants to make sure that the drug is completely out of my system. I also noticed that my liver ALT test is elevated. The elevation started right after I was put on Meto for high blood pressure but more for heart palpitations. It really didn't help the palpitations. And sometimes my BP went up, a lot.

Found a peach capsual tablet with C on the one side and S | 1 on the other side what is this ..... Crying out for help right now ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could locate is an oblong-shaped peach pill marked with an "A" on one side of a score line and "CS" on the other. The opposite side is blank with an additional score line as well. Do you happen to have any additional information on where you found this tablet or who it was purchased from? This information could also provide more clues as to what type of drug it might be.
