I take one 100 mg tablet of losartan each day for blood pressure control. Recently, I signed up at the local Veterans Hospital where they recommended a 20 mg tablet of enalapril. Is this correct? Secondly, when changing bp medication, is there a period of adustment to the new bp medicine, for example, will bp measurements be high or low for a while until the body adjusts to the new chemical? i have been taking this med metoprolol er 50 mg tab for high blood pressure suddenly it is not working anymore my pressure 140 over something the other day i have been working alot of overtime and very stressed ,, could that be the reason?? ## Hello, Melodee! I have a new dr and am taking a daily 25mg Losartan pill. However, I realized the dosage I used to take previously was 50mg a day. Can I just take 2 pills a day instead of 1 50mg until she changes the prescription? ## As long as your doctor okays it, then you can do so, yes. There shouldn't be any problem with it. But you do need to check with them and make sure that they didn't intend to lower your dosage. What are you blood pressure levels?

I have a COPD and have just started on Letairis. I am 71 years old and have lived with my COPD for about 20 years, which apparently was caused by my asperating reflux into my lungs when I weighed over 300 lbs. I lost over 100 lbs., but my lungs show up almost solid white on X-ray. This "reason" or my condition was just recently diagnoised by my new pulmonary doctor. I have been on this medication for a week and I feel aweful....weak, no appetite, just yuk. Does or has anyone else felt this way? I was told to cut the pill in half and take 1/2 for 2 weeks then increase to a whole pill, however the pamphlet says not to cut the pills, but I am doing what my doc says. Any info. would be appreciated.

Please note that i am hypertensive patient, i have bilateral polycystic kidney disease and i am taking one tablet olmesartan 10 mg at daytime and one tablet lercanidipine 20mg at night time,my creatinine clearance is 90ml/min and i am 37 years old. . .my hypertension is not controlled,always above 14/9 during the day and at night i am experiencing side effects mainly Dry Mouth and sometimes Tachycardia!Pls advice what to do and should i stop these medications and shift to other family of medicines? i am also having impotence and poor libido as well !!! please help me . . .thank you
