I am 57 years and taking Aten – 25 every day for last 10 years to control high blood pressure (BP). BP is under control now. Recently a doctor advised to replace it with MET XL Extended release 25 everyday. Please advise

Did they say why they wanted you to switch?
It could be just because you've been taking the other for such a long period of time. Our bodies do get used to anything we take regularly for long periods and sometimes, it is good to switch.
