I did as always but today I accidentally gave her another dose of it, mistaking it for her other diabetic medicine. Any problem with that? ## I accidentally took 2 of 100mg atenolol by mistake ## Taking too much Atenolol could result in worsening side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and increased lowering of blood pressure, and heart rate. Thus, it is best to keep an eye on the person to watch for any danger signs, such as problems breathing, dizziness, fainting, or extreme fatigue. Please double check with your respective doctors to be sure of what you should do. Are you on any other medications?
Is there a difference between Tri olmesar H 20 mg and Triolmesar 20 mg? Are they both the same or there is composition difference? ## The correct names are Olmesar H and Triolmesar. Olmesar H contains the active ingredients Olmesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, while Triolmesar contains the active ingredients Olmesartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, and Amlodipine, so they are different, and you should take the one prescribed by your doctor. Both medications are used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
Can Pur-Bloka or it's generic be bought over the counter? What alternatives are there to Pur-Bloka? I'm using it once a day for mild nervousness. ## Pur-Bloka contains the active ingredient Propranolol, it is a beta blocker, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac related conditions. Thus, I am not sure how it is supposed to help with nervousness of any type. In the U.S. and other countries that regulate their medications, it is only available by prescription. I don't know where you are located, so I have no way of knowing if the same is true for you, or not. Can you post back with your location? ## In South Africa it is used to treat Anxiety, you do need a perscription. I have Bi-polar type 2. I get very nervous in front of people and my neck an...
I am a 42 year old woman who's BP suddenly went from a normal 134/80 to 157/111. EKG and Xrays say my heart is good, but HP. As my Primary doctor did not even notice my swollen legs, ankles and feet I am not secure with him placing me on Benazep /HCT 10-12.5 and would like to know what it is he has placed me on. My Pain Care Specialist who discovered my swollen legs etc and my high BP told me that my sudden high BP is likely to be the tremedous stress I am under in my home life and bad diet and lack of exercise. Could very well be. I don't feel much better on this medication and I want to know if I can be weaned off of it with proper diet, exercise and reduxing my stress? Thank you ## Most antihypertensive drugs only lower a person's blood pressure 5-15mmhg so most patients ...
I'm on lisinopril for high blood pressure. I have a runny nose, cough, sneezing, and would like to know if i can take NyQuil cold and flu? ## Hi Wanda, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Lisinopril and Nyquil Cold & Flu. This is not to say that no interactions exist, so it's always a good idea to double check with your prescribing doctor first; but I would probably feel safe with this knowledge if it were me. I hope you get around to feeling better soon! I'm actually just getting over a similar set of symptoms myself (which I attributed to being a nasty sinus infection); and I found that oregano oil and garlic were staple items in my recovery due to their potent antibacterial ...
My mother was taken off of Plendil and placed on Micardis several months ago. Since then, she has had several falls, and the last two, she states she felt as if she blacked out before she fell. She is 81 years old, but this has been recent and I was wondering if the medication change may be a contributing factor. ## Micardis contains the active ingredient Telmisartan, it is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. Yes, it can cause dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, and general hypotension (low blood pressure) as side effects, so it could be causing, or contributing to her falling. Other side effects may include increase urination, and headache. Is there on any other medications? Is her doctor aware of the falls? Even if a fall didn't require...
Hi, I usually take about 2 or 3 0.5mg zopax tablets during the day to function "normally" and 2 or 3 at night to get a nights sleep. I know that I am addicted to it but I now want to stop as I really want to get my life back as I have 2 kids and don't want to fail them. I know that once I'm off these and recover I will be able to lead a normal med free life because I really don't want to depend on medication but am so afraid of withdrawal pains especially insomnia. when I first started taking it to help me stay calm but more to knock me off at night it seemed like a fantastic miracle but now not so much as I feel like I can't go without it and when I do take it I really feel lethargic and sleepy not how I was before starting, an active happy person, I want to be ...
Oval tablet. Just found in an old purse and wondering why I have it there? ## Does this oval tab have the marking APO on the opposite side of the pill? If so, it is likely Doxazosin mesylate 2 mg (NDC 60505-0094). NOTE: the full marking would be 094 on one side and APO on the other. Doxazosin Mesylate is an alpha blocker used to treat high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia. ## I also found a white oval caplet with 094 and no markings on the other side. What is it if there is no APO? ## Probably Kirkland brand Robaxacet - acetominophen and methocarbamol ## What is an oval white pill 094 on one side and nothing on the other side?

Can this medication affect the liver in anyway ? ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Most medications are processed through your liver, so yes. Though, it is very rare for it to cause any problems. However, when most people are taking it for a long period of time, their doctors will do liver and kidney function tests to monitor and make sure they aren't developing any problems. This medication is most commonly used to help lower high blood pressure and treat certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, hypotension and dehydration. At about the time I was diagnosed with borderline blood pressure and put on metoprol Tar, I noticed discoloring on one, then two shoulders -- a rash -- where the skin became harder and bumpy/scaley. At the same time I developed a rash under my right breast that hasn't gone away. It's four years now and my blood pressure has risen and the rash spreading throughout my back, into my arms, and recently into the buttocks and legs. I've also been extremely stressed for the past 12 years and more so since I lost my job last year. Is this a reaction to Metoprol or my high blood pressure, or is it something related. I also have edema in both lower legs and have been on hydrochlorothiazine for two years. Thank you. ## It has been known to aggravate psoriasis, so the rash and other ski...
What are the side effect? ## This medication contains the active ingredient Propranolol, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. And overdose may cause symptoms such as severe nausea, extreme dizziness, fainting, shallow breathing, lowered heart rate, all of which could potentially be fatal. Do you know someone that overdosed? ## I took full pill a day an I am supposed to take half ## Just FYI Propranolol is NOT what Michael Jackson overdosed on, it was Propofol and a mixture of Ativan and Dilaudid. Propranolol is a beta blocker. Sorry I just wanted you to be aware. Have a wonderful day.
I have taken Plendil for more than 15 years along with Accupril. I am having problems with my kidney and wondered if stopping Plendil would be a wise move. There are other drugs that I am also taking that are not good for the kidneys so I just trying to see which of the ones I could change the easiest, Allopurinol is for my gout and I know that is a bad one for the kidney but am not sure I can taken anything else for that. Is the new one you've received working for you? There really isn't any specific one that can be said to be the best, since it can vary from person to person, the one that works well for you, might not work as well for someone else. The only thing you can really do is try it, and see. Nadolol may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and hypotension. Are you on any other medications?

I have taken Benicar for years. Dr. tried a different BP medicine and I started a dry cough for weeks......back to Benicar, and cough went away. In December, Dr. switched me to olmesartan, which, as I understand it is generic for Benecar. I've been coughing ever since.........is that even possible? Are the two medicines identical, or is it possible that for me, Olmesartan causes cough but Benicar does not? ## I also recently switched from Benicar to the generic form. Can't stop with the dry cough. After hearing of your experience, I'm calling my cardiologist. This is intolerable! ## It is always possible for your body to suddenly start reacting differently to a medication, and for you to start experiencing new side effects. Our bodies do change with time, so it does happen. ...
