Hi, my mom was prescribed 50mg of Atenolol to take every morning. I did as always but today I accidentally gave her another dose of it, mistaking it for her other diabetic medicine. Any problem with that? ## I accidentally took 2 of 100mg atenolol by mistake ## Taking too much Atenolol could result in worsening side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and increased lowering of blood pressure, and heart rate. Can Pur-Bloka or it's generic be bought over the counter? What alternatives are there to Pur-Bloka? I'm using it once a day for mild nervousness. ## Pur-Bloka contains the active ingredient Propranolol, it is a beta blocker, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac related conditions. Thus, I am not sure how it is supposed to help with nervousness of any type. In the U.S. and other countries that regulate their medications, it is only available by prescription. I am a 42 year old woman who's BP suddenly went from a normal 134/80 to 157/111. EKG and Xrays say my heart is good, but HP. As my Primary doctor did not even notice my swollen legs, ankles and feet I am not secure with him placing me on Benazep /HCT 10-12.5 and would like to know what it is he has placed me on. My Pain Care Specialist who discovered my swollen legs etc and my high BP told me that my sudden high BP is likely to be the tremedous stress I am under in my home life and bad diet and lack of exercise. My mother was taken off of Plendil and placed on Micardis several months ago. Since then, she has had several falls, and the last two, she states she felt as if she blacked out before she fell. Hi, I usually take about 2 or 3 0.5mg zopax tablets during the day to function "normally" and 2 or 3 at night to get a nights sleep. I know that I am addicted to it but I now want to stop as I really want to get my life back as I have 2 kids and don't want to fail them. Oval tablet. Just found in an old purse and wondering why I have it there? ## Does this oval tab have the marking APO on the opposite side of the pill? If so, it is likely Doxazosin mesylate 2 mg (NDC 60505-0094). NOTE: the full marking would be 094 on one side and APO on the other. At about the time I was diagnosed with borderline blood pressure and put on metoprol Tar, I noticed discoloring on one, then two shoulders -- a rash -- where the skin became harder and bumpy/scaley. At the same time I developed a rash under my right breast that hasn't gone away. It's four years now and my blood pressure has risen and the rash spreading throughout my back, into my arms, and recently into the buttocks and legs. Do you know someone that overdosed? ## I took full pill a day an I am supposed to take half ## Just FYI Propranolol is NOT what Michael Jackson overdosed on, it was Propofol and a mixture of Ativan and Dilaudid. I have taken Plendil for more than 15 years along with Accupril. I am having problems with my kidney and wondered if stopping Plendil would be a wise move. There are other drugs that I am also taking that are not good for the kidneys so I just trying to see which of the ones I could change the easiest, Allopurinol is for my gout and I know that is a bad one for the kidney but am not sure I can taken anything else for that. Does anyone have any incite on which manufacturer makes the most effective and best quality nadolol? For years I took yellow nadolol manufactured by Cipla. I have taken Benicar for years. Dr. tried a different BP medicine and I started a dry cough for weeks......back to Benicar, and cough went away. In December, Dr. switched me to olmesartan, which, as I understand it is generic for Benecar. I've been coughing ever since.........is that even possible? Are the two medicines identical, or is it possible that for me, Olmesartan causes cough but Benicar does not? ## I also recently switched from Benicar to the generic form.
