Constant pain in my hands and feet. Not where my leg, toes and fingers were. This is REAL pain. I can't get anything to alleviate how bad it hurts. ## Hello, Bob! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Did you mean Raynaud's? Are you taking anything to treat it? There are medications that can help. It can also be helped if it's being caused by an underlying condition and that condition is treated. If you've had amputations, it seems that you must have a very severe form of it. I have it and it has occasionally been worsened with some medications, like a couple blood pressure medications that I tried. I've also found that living in the PNW and wearing warm thermal gloves and thick socks helps a lot. The pain can be bad. Have you tried hand warmers? Those ...

Yes, while it's alway best to double check with your doctor, I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these medications. The FDA classifies Cipro as an antibiotic and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Amlodipine is classified as a calcium channel blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, dry cough, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
I'm having a hard time finding the side effects for losartan/hctz 50/12.5mg My husband was prescribed this medicine but don't know if it could be causing some of his problems he's having ## Hello, Larry! How are you? I'm very happy to help you! Losartan with Hydrochlorothiazide is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, increased urination and dehydration. If he's experiencing orthostatic hypotension, such as getting dizzy when he stands up, or moves fast, he may be dehydrated, if it is removing too much fluid from his body and he's not taking in enough to replace it. Dehydration may also cause sym...
I'm a 25 year old female and I've been on 50 mg Toprol XR for several years now for Tachycardia. I've had Tachycardia my whole life, but wasn't put on medication until a few years ago after a full heart workup. I've noticed that my libido has dropped considerably as well as my ability to achieve orgasm. I am also on 300 mg Wellbutrin XR and a BC Pill. I know the BC pill can have that affect as well, but I noticed the side affect more so when I went from 25mg to 50mg of Toprol, so my suspicion is that it is that medication. I've done some internet research and it seems that Bystolic has less of an impact on libido than other Beta Blockers. My question is, for those who have switched to Bystolic, have you noticed any difference in libido? I am thinking of making an...
Have been taking Ramipril (Altace) 10mg for probably 10 years and they have ALWAYS been white and BLUE capsules. Last week when I renewed this prescription, they were white and PURPLE. I phoned the pharmacist, and he said they were ok, that these were from a company in Israel. Don't know if this brand has caused a bad sinus / cold like infection? With news lately about counterfeit drugs on the market, it has me wondering. Have you heard of this? ## No replies yet. Does anyone know where I could have this new PURPLE and white capsule investigated to see if it actually has the same ingredients as the previous BLUE and white capsules? I am in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ## Are there any markings on the capsule? This information is what would enable us to check what they contain, because ...
I was prescribed this medicine back in december. I have been taking it faithfully. I am a 46 yr old woman with no prior heart problems. I was placed on this medication for hypertension. I take 1 pill daily at night only. I have alot of the common side effects ie: fatigue, diaharrea, chills, night sweats, yellowing eyes, hair loss and mental and mood changes. But, I now have an added problem, menopause... I am wondering what if anything I can take that won't cause more problems than I already have? Herbal ? ## Hi Jaclyn, Although I'm not a doctor, I would probably suggest leaning towards a more natural approach if you don't want to worry about having quite as many side effects. Have you considered looking into Essential Oils for menopause symptoms? One that comes to mind is C...

hi im having dytor 10 for reducing my weight and my blood pressure and sugar are i normal level...taking this pill is right or wrong? i have started a day before...plz suggest me a gud answer as im going to get married soon i want to reduce ma weight ## Dytor contains the active ingredient Torsemide, this is a LOOP diuretic that's most commonly used to treat conditions such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and edema. It is not safe to use it to try to lose with it, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. It can lower blood pressure, but its effects on weight are only due to the fluid it removes from the body. Removing too much fluid could cause dehydration and it is not the type of weight you'll usually keep off, anyway. Learn more Dytor deta...

The FDA classifies Levatol as a beta blocker and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Long-term use affects may include kidney stones, gout, weight gain and liver damage, but they are all very rare. How long have you been taking it?
My wife has had chest pain/tightness, getting dizzy, sleeping more than usual, ever since taking the blue-dyed enalapril malette 10 mg. pill, which she started taking 2-1/2 weeks ago. Before filling the current script, she had been getting pink pills for quite some time with no problematic side-effects. Both pills are generic, BTW... ## Hello, Sven! How is your wife doing? She needs to have this checked out by her doctor. There is a chance those symptoms could be related to a heart or circulatory problem, rather than the pill from a different manufacturer. It is most likely nothing, but chest pain is nothing to play around with, especially coupled with the other symptoms. Enalapril is classified by the FDA as an ACE inhibitor that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and c...

Can I take lisinopril if I have been taking lotrel? ## Hello, Cassie! How are you? Yes you can, as long as your doctor has instructed you to do so. However, you shouldn't take both at the same time, since both the Benzapril in the Lotrel and Lisinopril are ACE inhibitors. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

If so, this tablet is manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Enalapril. I am taking Harvoni for hep c--I saw a list somewhere that said these 2 are contraindicated. Is this true? ## Hello Cat! How are you? No, I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check with your pharmacist to be sure. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Harvoni as possibly including fatigue, headache, nausea, diarrhea and insomnia. Metoprolol is a beta blocker and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
Can i eat grapefruit with this medication? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? It's generally not a concern, unless your doctor says otherwise. Grapefruit can slightly slow down the metabolism of this medication, but it's usually not a significant change. The FDA states that this medication is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
I found in the generic Bystolic, among other chemicals as inactive ingredients Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and at least one artificial color ?! Both of this chemical are well known cncerogen, any explanation for that ?! As soon as possible I’ll replace it. ## Hello, Snoopy! How are you? While some of the inactive ingredients may be known to be carcinogens, if you read the research studies, that's usually if someone is ingesting very high amounts for a long period of time. However, the amounts in a pill are minuscule and in those amounts, the FDA considers them to be generally safe for long-term use. This is frequently misunderstood, even when it comes to something such as dogs eating chocolate. A little nibble won't result in a death sentence, they'd have to eat a lot, in mo...
My doctor took me off Lisinopril htcz because I became severely dehydrated. He put me on Metoprolol 100 mg and Doxazosin Mesylate 2 mg and now I'm losing my hair after being on these drugs for about 2 mos. I need to get off these drugs asap, is there another drug for high blood pressure that will not cause hair loss? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? Hair loss is most commonly caused by Metoprolol, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Yes, you can get Lisinopril without the HCTZ, you can also take it with the Doxazosin, if your doctor thinks you need more than one medication to bring your blood pressure down. Thus, it's definitely worth your asking them about it. The side effects for these are very simil...
