I do not have high blood pressure. My doctor has me on Losartan 100mg because I have diabetes. I do not have kidney problems. I've been told by many people not to take medicine for prevention. What do you think? ## Hello, Joan! How are you? It is very common for a doctor to prescribe such a mediation to help protect the kidneys from the possible damage that may occur from diabetes. Thus, your doctor most likely hasn't prescribed it to prevent high blood pressure. In this case, it would be best to follow your doctor's instructions. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## He also has me on pravastatin for high cholesterol which I ...

What is this? It is Round, White with a 10 on one Side and flat and blank on other side. ## It just has a 10 on it? I think this is going to be really hard to narrow down, there are quite a few over the counter items with the number 10 on them that match this description. You could pay to have it lab tested, but that would be expensive. I am sorry, I wish I could be of more help. Was it found in the U.S.? ## Lisinopril 10mg ## Roughly 2 centimeters wide. Round, blank on one side, the number 10 on the other, no score mark or other markings.

I have been taking Totamol(Atenonol) for quite a number of years now. I switched a couple of times to other medicines to treat my high blood pressure due to serious and numerous side effects. Once again on the Atenolol 50mg, daily and amlodipine, 5mg, blue round pill. The combination of these two pills is shedding my hair excessively. I am a 57 year old black woman and this is very traumatic for me. As I live in the Caribbean, my GP, does not take any interest in my complaint regarding my hair loss. At the moment I have a boyish crew cut, which makes me look very manly and unattractive. This has led to me feeling depressed at times, because I know that doctors here don,t see this as a problem especially at my age. Can you please recommend those blood pressure pills that do not have hair...

DOES PROLONG USE CAN CAUSE B.P.P.V ## Benign Paroysmal Position Vertigo is usually caused by a disorder of the inner, it is generally not caused by medications. I found a pill in my house. I have teenagers running in and out all of the time and I am trying to identify this pill. Thank You. ## I guess it would help if I described the pill. have taken 2 pills...is this amount so insignificient that I can simply stop taking further pills? ## What has your doctor advised? Are you on other medications? That isn't many pills and, in theory, there shouldn't be a problem stopping, after just taking a few, but there is really no way of knowing the effect it will have on any particular person, so you should only do so under medical supervision. I took Metoprolol for over a month and was able to stop, but it was because I was switched to a different, but similar medication to keep the rebound effects under control, though there were still some slight elevations to my heart rate and blood pressure. ## Doctor, I had little blurred vision n doctor admitted 5 days with steroids n prescribed m 30 mg wysoline(20mg-10mg-0), after ...

I am 54 years old, on Coveram 5/10 and I'm pretty certain that I could manage my blood pressure on my own with diet and exercise. I think I was put on it too hastily without really giving these other ways a good go first. I want to stop taking Coveram and try on my own. What are the risks in stopping Coveram suddenly? ## Hello, Jules! How are you? It could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to rebound, which could cause them to hit dangerously high levels. When going off of a medication like this, you should taper off slowly, with your doctor's supervision. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. What are your current levels? ## My doctor has said that I should be 130/...

Hi. I suffered a brain injury 14 years ago and have since been through various meds to help control depression, anxiety and digestive issues. I ve been through several anti deppressant drugs like fluoxetine, zoloft, sertraline, citralopram and some others that i can't remember. I ve had adverse effects from all of them, my neurologist says it may not be direct depression but a chemical imbalance in my brain. My new gp said that as i ve had a bad reaction to the other mentioned pills that I should try propanalol 10mg 3 times daily to slow my heart down and therefore ease my anxiety. The 10mg propanalol gave me horrible nightmares and difficulty getting to sleep. I told the doctor and she proceeded to put me on 80mg slow release. I ve been taking them for 4 weeks, 1 daily in the morni...

has anyone experienced leg cramping while taking lisinopril? How long were you taking before the cramps started? Are the cramping in one or both legs? When does the cramping occur, at night or while walking or during exercise or some other time? Have you found anything to help with the cramping or did you stop taking the drug?Any other details you could provide would be great, thank you ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Usually, leg cramping is caused by dehydration, a lack of potassium, or both, since once can lead to the other. How are you doing? A sudden withdrawal from the Metoprolol may cause some elevation to your heart rate and blood pressure, as listed by the FDA, but the Lisinopril should help keep it from hitting dangerous levels.
