Updated in AngeliqHi, I've been taking lo loestrin Fe for a while now and I'm really good at taking my pills regularly. However, this past week has been a mess. I had to fill my prescription on Monday but I was supposed to take a pill on Sunday night. So I took it as soon as I got my refill. Then I somehow missed Monday night, Tuesday night, and last night. I woke up, realized that I forgot and freaked out. I took the three pills. Then I read that if you miss three or more pills you must start a new pack. What does that mean? I already took the three I missed. If I were to start a new pack would I start on the first Thursday? (Today) help!! ## Hello, Alyssa! How are you? Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, you can continue with this pack, but use a backup method of contraception, until yo...
I just started sprintec today and my period is due to come on in two weeks. Will my period come a few weeks late since i will be on the second week of pills? ## Hello, Mooney! How are you? There's no way to say for sure, it depends on how your body reacts to the added hormones. It may delay your period, until the week of inactive pills, or you may get on schedule. You may also have a period both times. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain, PMS like symptoms and mood swings. Also, please remember that if you didn't start it the first or second day of your period, you will not be protected from pregnancy, until you've taken the active tablets for a full 7 days, so you'll need some backup method of contraception, until the 8th day. Is th...
I started taking Lo Loestrin FE on 10/12/13, the Sunday after my last period. This Wednesday I started bleeding brown a little, but only when I wiped. Now it's Friday and I'm bleeding even more, but I shouldn't have my period for another week and a half. Is this just my body adjusting or should I stop taking it and as my gyno for something else? ## Hello, Katrina! How are you? Yes, it can take about 3 months for your body to get used to these hormonal contraceptives and breakthrough bleeding is very common during that time period. However, it is best to consult your doctor to be sure that there's nothing else unusual going on. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes thank you so much! I called my doctor and they said the same thing, and to not worry about it (but ...
I've read alot of articles saying that you can still get pregnant with the jadelle but will cause a chemical abortion or something like that due to fertilized egg not being able to implant in wall lining.. this makes me think, sometimes I get pregnancy symptoms. Light spotting for a day, dizzyness, nausea, urinating more often. I've taken p.ts and its come back negative. But ive had a child before and know what pregnancy symptoms feel like. Then about a month later I get what i assume is my period but for a couple weeks.... and symptoms go away after a week or so... what does all this mean ??

Yes, unless your doctor has some reason why you shouldn't, then you should be able to just make a clean switch from one to the other. Oral contraceptives may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, PMS like symptoms and irregular bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking minastrin 24 fe for 26 days now. I took the first brown pill in the pack two days ago and the second today. When is it safe to have my boyfriend ejaculate inside me? ## I've been having problems with my throat for a while now. I constantly feel like my throat is clogged up with mucus and I'm always trying to clear it by coughing and hacking. Occasionally I'll get some mucus up, but most of the time I can't and it drives me insane. I spend most of my day clearing my throat and coughing. Recently I relealized that the problem started right around the time Loestrin 24 Fe was discontinued and I began taking Minastrin 24. Is there something in this pill that's different and that I could be allergic to? Or could chewing it before swallowing be irritating...
I have been on many birth controls and had issues such as mood swings, anxiety, no libido, and i was very angry all the time with just about all that i have tried. I was curious if people who have had similar problems with other pills had a good or bad experience with lo loestrin. I am currently on the NuvaRing and i love it but my insurance does not cover it so it is too expensive so i am looking for other options. ## Hello, Claire! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you've had. Those types of issues can occur when taking OCs, since they add hormones to your body to prevent ovulation. But many women do better with the low dose ones, so that might apply to you, as well. However, you could still experience nausea, headache, irritability and PMS like symptoms. Can anyo...
Hi there, I went to the clinic today because I have irregular periods and I was given famynor and I am told to start taking it on the fourth day of my next period. But the nurse gave me the white pills only and she cut out the red ones. Do I go back to the clinic after I have finished this set of white pills or will my periods be regular after taking a month's supply? My husband and want a baby but with my irregular periods, its impossible. Please help me and will the Famynor make me gain weight because I really don't mind.
UpdatedI stopped taking Sprintec in July/August because I no longer wished to be on it. I had my period in September, but have since not seen it. I did have irregular periods before I was ever on BC and missed periods from stress. I was stressed out lately but it has since calmed down, and now im not sure if my period would come... its probably been almost 30 days late, and pregnancy results have been neg and ovulation tests low. Im thinking of going to the dr soon to get checked out, but just want to know if I should wait it out or if now would be best. Btw, ive been overly tired lately, and went from eating a bunch to not having an appetite at all... ## It's best to have things checked out, but most likely there is nothing to worry about and it's just from stopping the OCs. Your body...
I found half of a round white pill with the last two numbers on top are 64 and on bottom last two numbers are 25 ## Hello Nikki! How are you? It's going to be rather difficult to narrow this down, without having the full imprint. So far, I've been unable to find anything that matches this description, however, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Have you asked your son about it? Does anyone else recognize this tablet?
I was prescribed sprinted on October 7 of this year , I took the first pill on the 8. However I stopped taking them 4 days ago because of the side effects. I started some spotting today. Now feeling like I'm ready to menstruate, but nothing is coming out. Can this happen? ## Yes, that can happen. Oral contraceptives use hormones to prevent ovulation, so you can't get pregnant. Thus, you added these hormones, for awhile, then suddenly took them away, so your body is needing to readjust. You may also still experience irregular bleeding for awhile, headache and PMS like symptoms. If it continues, you should speak to your doctor about the issue. Is there anything else I can help with?
So I'm going on vacation Nov 7th. And I'm not sure if I will have my period and I'm trying to avoid it. I usually get my period at the end of the month around the 26th or 27th but for some reason I got it 2 weeks later for 1 day only on Oct 9th and I did not get it at the end of the month like usual. I started taking lo loestrin a few days ago to try to avoid it. Will I get my period at that time or will the pills help me avoid my period help please ## Hello, Purple! How are you? It depends on how your body reacts to the pills, you may skip your period, or you may get it anyway. Alternatively, you could also experience some spotting/breakthrough bleeding. Other side effects to oral contraceptives may include nausea, dizziness, headache, bloating, PMS and weight gain. Is ther...
Hello, I have been on Tri-sprintec for almost 2 years, and this past month my Rx service changed to Tri-Previfem. My concern is that i just started my period today (saturday) and i am supposed to start my new pill pack tomorrow (sunday) i just feel like i did not really have a period yet. Now i am wondering if i should not start the new pill pack and just let my period finish??? please help! ## Your period will finish its natural course even if you take the pills and for proper protection against pregnancy, you should start them on the normal day you are supposed to. Tri-Previfem and Tri-Sprintec both contain the same ingredients, your pharmacy service was probably just able to obtain the new one cheaper than the previous. Some common side effects you may experience can include: nausea,...
I just realized i never took the two white pills from my last pill pack (lot going on). But i had my period so no worries and was going to just start my next pill pack sunday. However, i did not foresee my dr messing up (long story but will be switching dr.s) so, I was unable to get prescription filled until wednesday; 4 days after I was to begin taking the first pill. So doubling up wed, thurs and fri. I will use another form of b.c. for the next few weeks but am a bit worried that sunday I did not use backup (since I didnt know at the time I wouldnt b able to get b.c. that day). Just wondering how plausible getting pregnant would b because of this scenario? ## Hello, Chris! How are you? There is a slight risk, so if you don't get your next period, you'll want to look into the ...
