So I started my period today (tuesday) and was prescribed sprintec today as well. I'm a bit confused because am I suppose to wait and take the pill this upcoming sunday, or do I start today? If I do take it today should I start with the blue or white pill in the tuesday or sunday section? ## Hello, Kim! How are you? You should start the first day of your period, with the active tablets, not the period week tablets and just start with the first one in the pack. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I also have been prescribed the pill. I was told to start on a Sunday., no matter when my period started. It happened to start on a sunday. good day girls, i am so paranoid i took ecp last week and now got heavy bleeding do I safe from being pregnant? but still have feeling vomitting and always pee i dont know i think it cause of my uti but still these are symptoms of being pregnant pls help me.. can anyone tell me what should i do? thank you.

I need to skip my period this week, and I'm on a triphasic pill: So far I've been told to A) Continue to the next pack and just skip the placebos or B) Continue to the next pack, but take them backwards. I'm on an antibiotic to get rid of my UTI. I don't start my white pill until tomorrow but I'm bleeding now. I switched from a different type of pill to Minastrin this month. This is Saturday at the end of my first pack and I have had no period at all. Is this common with this pill? I know it supposed to make period lighter, but I need some kind of indication every month that I'm not pregnant! ## Hello, Matilda! How are you? If you haven't missed any pills, then there shouldn't be any reason to worry about being pregnant and yes, some women don't have periods, while taking oral contraceptives. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, bloating and weight gain. If you really aren't comfortable skipping your period, then you might need to switch, again. Those are both possible side effects of any hormonal contraceptive, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, irregular bleeding and bloating. How are you? Since this is a hormonal based contraceptive, irregular bleeding can occur for the first 3 months, or so, while your body is getting used to the hormonal change. If it continues past 3 months, then it might not be the right one for you and you may need to switch to a different OC. Other side effects may include nausea, headache and mood swings. I had my implanon / nexplanon put in last month in September. I recently have been prescribed bactrim/ sulfamethoxazole. does this make my rod less effective and my chances of becoming pregnant higher? Hi everyone. 10 days into this pill pack I started having breakthrough bleeding which lasted for 10 days. It wasn't normal at all... it was just brown "discharge" (sorry TMI) and nothing ever heavy enough to soak a pad or use a tampon. On October 2nd I took my last pill in my pack for Lo Loestrin Fe because I decided to discontinue use from here on out because I don't want to be on birth control anymore. It's now October 16th and I still haven't got my period, or any signs or symptoms of it coming. I took 2 pregnancy tests (a week apart from each other) and they were both negative. Hi. so, i took two blue pills by accident today. Not really sure what i was thinking.I was distracted and took both saturday ans sunday. my question is what do i do? should i worry about overdosing? I only weigh 95 pounds. does that matter? should i not take a pill tomorrow? or continue like normal, taking a pill on sunday? ## Hello, Nat! How are you? You're not going to overdose on 2 pills, unless your doctor sees some reason to be concerned. But as an emergency contraceptive, women can actually take multiples, at once, to prevent pregnancy. As to what to do, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, it would probably be easiest to just continue taking one a day and just start your period a day early. This is my second pack of triprevifem and I didnt skip my period last month. But right now im on my 2nd pack and week of placebos and I havent started. I was suposed to start monday and its tuesday. It is normal to sometimes skip your period, when taking oral contraceptives and is usually nothing to worry about, unless your doctor thinks otherwise. As long as you didn't miss any tablets, you aren't likely to be pregnant. But missed periods, irregular bleeding and spotting can all be side effects of hormonal contraceptives. My doctor put me on lo loestrin fe 1-10 because my cycle was lasting 10-15 days for about 2yrs. I am 41 and before I was 3-5 days at the most. I have been taking the pill for five months. The 1st pack I had the 10-15 day cycle. The 2nd pack I had a 8 day cycle with a little spotting 1week later. The 3 pack I had 2 full days & 2 spotting days. The 4th pack I didn't have a cycle not even spotting. On 5th pack now & still nothing. My doctor said the pills should regulate my cycle but last 2 month I haven't had a cycle. Last period was on Apr 21st. Started Minastrin 24 Fe on Apr 25. Bled for 22 days straight. Stopped taking pill on May 19th. No real period since. Has anyone had issues like this? The bleeding like that can be normal, when you first start a hormonal contraceptive, such side effects usually last about 3 months, or so and taking it for a bit, then abruptly stopping, could throw your hormones off balance, so your cycle could be off. ## I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. MINASTRIN 24 FE MADE ME BLEED FOR 25 DAYS. CALL YOUR PHYSICIAN, AND STOP USING IT.

i was using a contraceptive injection of 3 months for and i stopped it between the months and its been 2 years now and i have not been on my periods, i even forget when is my cycle. The doctor gave me adco-fem 35 and told me to start on the yellow line. how long will it take to get on my cycle again?
