what is polynerv multivitamin, it's uses and side effects? my 4 year old son was prescribed to take palynerv by his pedia, as well as montelukast and heraclene dibencozide. is it ok to use these medicines together? are there any sied effects or reactions to each of the medicines i mention above for his health. please advice. ## Polynerv is a B complex vitamin, it used to treat a deficiency in these vital nutrients, in case someone isn't getting enough in their normal diet and, they are also sometimes used to help improve the appetite of picky eaters. Since it is a nutritional supplement, its side effect and interactions with other medications has not been studied, as is done for actual prescription drugs, however, some people do report some nausea, after taking it. I am a mother of 2 boys ages 6 and 8 who were diagnosed last year with asthma. Their allergist prescribed Advair for both. My husband and I have been shocked and appalled by the outrageous price of this medication! The inhalers cost us $600 a month. The doctor's office is kind enough to provide samples on occasion, but even with the occasional sample at this price we might as well be paying 2 mortgages. The bottom line is that there is no generic of this medication and so GSK can charge whatever they want for it. Meanwhile, hard-working people all over the country who have insurance and pay ridiculously high monthly premiums, are suffering the consequences. It is what I would call shameful. ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you children doing? Have you discussed the price problem with thei...

Would like to see actual drug values as in lab work ## Hi Martha, What sort of specific details in drug levels/values are you looking for (i.e. peak concentration, therapeutic drug levels, etc)? Therapeutic drug levels are laboratory tests that look for the presence and the amount of specific drugs in the blood. You can read more about therapeutic drug levels by visiting the link below: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003430.htm I hope this helps to answer your question! ## I want lab value chart for Theophylline, Digoxin, lithium. I had a upper respitory infection. Had to take prednisone for 3 rounds then started symbicort. I was also given rescue inhaler. I have not had to take a puff of that in a month. I have been getting anxiety attacks since and thick mucus and a feeling stuck in my throat from symbicort. I have been back to breathing normal the last couple of days without symbicort. It's only been two days but I have 0 breathing problems no tightness. No wheezing. Some mucus but it's clear and I get full breaths... Would I have experienced tightness or wheezing in this short time of quiting symbicort? Or is it to soon to tell? I can't find any info on what to expect when you quit symbicort. I have never had asthma in the past and I 42 years old I'm breating ## Those can be typical side effec...

I was told I failed a drug screen and must take all medications in to check them. I take advair, ipratropium, and albuterol inhaler for asthma. I also take allegra D and benadryl for allergies. I sometimes take an over the counter diet pill called phentramin D. Would any of these cause false positives on a standard UA? ## What did you fail for? Was it opiates, amphetamines, or something else? The Diphenhydramine in Benadryl can cause false positives for Benzodiazepines, PCP and tricyclic antidepressants. It could also be something in the Phentramin_D, but I can't find a listing that includes the exact ingredients. Do you happen to know what's in it? ## My son 37yrs old was given 7.5mg loratabs for dental pain on feb 24 he took more than he was suppose to because he was in so muc...

Now that marijuana is legal will this affect the medications that your Dr prescribes? ## It's really going to depend on the individual doctor and their policies, so unfortunately, there is no definitive answer that I can give you. I live in Washington state, one of the first to legalize it, they have very few restrictions, other than you can only purchase it if you're over 21, and aren't supposed to smoke it in public, where minors and others that don't wish to smoke it might be subjected to it. My husband and I both hate the smell of it, and my mother-in-law has asthma that can be triggered by any type of smoke, so they tried to make the laws fair to prevent problems. But, most doctor's and employers don't even test for it here, anymore, unless it's a job wh...

I found an unmarked glass prescription bottle filled with small round yellow pills. One side has a "P" imprint, the other side is just scored. Ive searched and am not finding it anywhere!! Help please!! ## Hello, Dee! How are you? If it was a glass bottle, then these are most likely old pills, because glass is no longer used. Thus, they may be something that is no longer being manufactured. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else have an idea of what these tablets contain? ## Thank you for looking ive drove myself crazy trying to find this pill! I've been taking symbicort for 7 years now. I started when I was 13, so when I started gaining weight I blamed the fact that I stopped growing at that age (I was already 172 cm). But know I'm 20 and I have been trying to lose weight for YEARS! And I can't seem to lose any, I eat super healthy and I am a very active person, I exercise at least 4 times a week. The last time I was able to lose some weight, was when I stopped taking symbicort for 2 months because I was at home studying and didn't exercise at all. When I started taking it again, I gained weight again... Is it possible that all this time my weight is symbicort's fault? And if so, what should I take instead and how long does it take to get it out of your system ? ## It has been known to cause weight gain, i...

I was put on symbicorasthma after hospitalized for respiratory failure from the flu and pneumonia. 2 puffs 2 times a day 160/4.5. I only have been taking it at night because of a the high dosage of steroids I was on in hospital and tapered off at home. Started this medicine 2 weeks ago. This medicine upon the first morning I woke up itching terribly, but at least I rested the whole night without waking up wheezy as I have done previously. Now I am so dizzy I can't function. My body is so low 97/71 and pulse is 102. I'm also having pain in my chest and the bp machine says my heart rate is irregular. My scalp is itching around the hair line and my hands are cramping up. kindly tell me that whether doxophyline increses the pulse rate and BLOOD pressure. thank u, Baldev kumar ## Doxofylline is basically a xanthine derivative like theophylline. All xanthine derivatives have the effect on heart rate and pulse rate because of their affinity towards adenosine receptors (A1 & A2 receptors, which are present in heart to regulate the oxygen demand, in brain involve in hormone secretions, in skin, also in some other parts of body.) When these receptors are stimulated they effect on heart rate and increase the blood pressure and palpitation. Doxofylline is found to have the very least affinity for adenosine receptors, and this is the basic difference between doxofylline and other xanthine derivative specially theophylline, and this is because of its chemical ...
