Upon starting medrol I started to lose muscle. I lost 15 lbs of muscle in 2 months 3 years ago when I first started taking it. When I started taking my thyroid med it slightly countered the effects of the medrol. I understand that steroids like medrol will make you lose muscle, bones, and tendons, but not at this rate. I mean I've heard of people being on medrol for decades and they're still alive and well. The muscle loss is so severe that at times it seems like it's a weekly thing of losing inches on my waist line and my legs shrinking. Has anyone here experienced severe muscle loss by taking 4 mg of medrol? I mean like losing muscle over night within like 3 days at a time sometimes? ## How do you know it's muscle loss? Has your doctor diagnosed it as such? Have you ha...

Thanks Jim. ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Both of these medications are NSAIDs with the same risks, so you might as well take the Meloxicam as prescribed. Common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

have been diagnosed w/sever lower back pain and stenosis. ## Hello, Elaine! How are you? What treatment options have you been offered? How severe is your pain? Much of it depends on the severity of your condition and how degenerative it is.
Starting taking this medicine 3 months ago and for the past 3 weeks I have had severe stomach pain and cramps. Also, unable to eat much. I have lost 10 Lbs and fatigued all the time. I have now stopped taking the med for 5 days now and the pain is not going away. Will it eventually subside? Please help!! ## Hello, Martha! How are you? Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories are notorious for causing stomach damage, so you may be developing an ulcer or gastritis. Have you consulted your doctor? You need to have this checked out, so you can be treated appropriately, if needed.
Need info on taking Arthri-D for rheumatoid, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. ## This is a supplement, therefore it has not been tested and actually proven to help with ANYTHING. The same is true of most supplements on the market, they have not been tested and proven to actually help with any medical condition. They do have a website and they list the ingredients as: Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Magnesium, NAG, Chondroitin, Termeric, Rice Flour, Boswella, Ashwagandha, Bromelain, Evening Primrose Oil, Green Lipped Muscle and Hyaluronic Acid. You have to call to order and those who have said it runs about $50 to $60 a bottle. ## What is the web address for this new Arthri D product, because I can't find it? I'm just trying to make sure that this isn't a scam to get my credit card inf...
I have R.A., my loving mother saw the ad for Arthri-d & bought it for me as a gift. I saw no harm in trying it because I have researched a lot of the herbs such as turmeric, frankincense etc. I have been taking it for 5 days & am having intestinal issues (gas, irritable bowel symptoms, headaches.) Are these common side effects from this supplement? ## There is really no way to answer that. Since they are considered supplements and not drugs, it is not required that they study the side effect profiles, so most of them aren't really know. If you have only experienced these since taking it, then I would suggest stopping it for a few days, to see if they go away. If they clear up, then you will have your answer. The actual ingredients, from what we have found on the internet are...
Since getting my first Simponi Aria infusion 3 days ago, I have been well aware of my heart beating really hard in my chest, especially when I lay down to sleep at night. It's not beating fast or rapidly but just beating hard. I lay hear and count the beats while I try to go to sleep. I have also been feeling some tightness in my chest, kind of like my heart has pressure on it. I wouldn't be concerned about it except that I was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur and mild aortic stenosis. My dad passed away last year from a massive heart attack and he had severe aortic stenosis. He had aortic valve replacement which only lasted him 3 years before he died. My RA is pretty bad and I really want this drug Simponi Aria to work for me but this heart condition is really scaring me....
Do you have a program to help low income ppatients with getting the perscriptions that my husband and I need? Thank You ## this site does not manufacture any products, this is an information only website, so this site does not have any such programs. As to Amneal Pharma, not they do not offer an assistance program for their products, because they are a generic drug manufacturer. Most generic drugs, which are already cheaper than name brands, do not have assistance programs. The assistance programs are generally only offered for the name brand medications. That said, if you can post back with the specific medications, i will gladly check to see if there are programs available for the name brand versions. Can you please post back with more information? ## what about disalcid ?
I took 2 of these thinking they were midol...should I be worried? ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? These capsules contain 200mgs of Celebrex (Celecoxib), which is a Cox-2 selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. And you should consult your doctor to be certain, but things should be fine, because it is also available in 400mgs doses. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taken meloxicam for a week for bursitis in my right hip. Since I started this med I have fallen on my spine. I then took meloxicam with alieve only 5 gels. Stopped when I was told that this was not right. Started taking Tylenol now. My question is will this amount of alieve be real serious? Also can meloxicam cause stomach area to swell. Seems like mine has. ## Hello, Mickey! How are you? Both the Meloxicam and the Aleve are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so taking both is bascally doubling up on the same medication and your doctor may want to check your liver function, since you took both. The swelling could be due to fluid retention, which it can sometimes cause, so you also need to have that checked out by your doctor. Are there any other questions or concerns?
i want to know ## Etoshine contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, this is a COX-2 Selective Inhibitor, used to treat pain and inflammation. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. Are there any questions or comments? ## I am suffering from psoriasis(val.) for the last 16 years. It comes and goes frequently and is followed by arthritis. I am on homeopathic medicines but the Doctor has advised me to take Etoshine 60 in case of acute pain. I was a habitual drinker and used to take about 180 ml. daily but for the last 6-7 years I take drinks once a week. I recently went to a pain clinic and got prescribed meloxicam 7.5 mg 2x, Duloxetine dr 30mg, and Baclofen 10mg 3x. I’ve been having bad nausea, and still having back and stomach pain. I was wondering if anyone has been prescribed this for crohn’s pain, or can tell me what you’re prescribed for pain associated with crohns pain, Thanks! ## Hello, Sam! How are you? Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it could be irritating your stomach, they are very well known for doing that.
