I have been taken meloxicam for a week for bursitis in my right hip. Since I started this med I have fallen on my spine. I then took meloxicam with alieve only 5 gels. Stopped when I was told that this was not right. Started taking Tylenol now. My question is will this amount of alieve be real serious?
Also can meloxicam cause stomach area to swell. Seems like mine has.

Hello, Mickey! How are you?

Both the Meloxicam and the Aleve are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so taking both is bascally doubling up on the same medication and your doctor may want to check your liver function, since you took both.

The swelling could be due to fluid retention, which it can sometimes cause, so you also need to have that checked out by your doctor.

Are there any other questions or concerns?
