I severely damaged my lower back this morning. I have had back pain for some years now. I went and saw my Dr today who prescribed me Endone and Meloxicam 15mg, my Dr is aware that i suffer stomach pain when i take anti inflammatory medication. He did advise me that these tablets are okay to take. I am unsure what to do as I do have stomach ulcers, and I need the inflammation in my back to go away. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it can cause stomach irritation and ulceration, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Thus, it may be best to take it with an antacid to protect your stomach, if your doctor approves of your doing so. Is there anything else I can help with? ## T...

I do not want to continue on them however I do not know how to take my self off them please help. ## Hi lolypop, Usually for drugs like this, the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off under a doctor's supervision; if possible. However having only taken the medication for 1-6 days, I almost wonder if you'd even experience withdrawals at all...? None the less, if you are concerned I would definitely encourage you to talk with your doctor about setting up a tapering schedule to ensure that everything goes smoothly. My understanding is that some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut...

I was on Enbrel ten years ago with pleasant results. Then Humana Insurance stopped paying for it and I went on Methretrexate for several years. As I aged it seemed my rheumatoid arthritis got worse so doctor put me on Remicade which I had to obtain financial assistance for. Five years of wonderful help on disease, my funding ended and doctor put me back on Enbrel with new insurance company. Enbrel had a program that helped me financially and I received my first shipment last Friday. Followed directions for new version of giving a needle. I had no trouble with old system of physically injecting needle myself. This tubular, self contained needle and medicine required concentrated action on my part and I did all the directions said. I found Synaleve to be totally ineffective for any pain related to a pinched nerve. In fact, the only medication that seems to work (apart from cortisone) seems to Lyrica. ## Hello, Steve! How are you? Are you still taking Lyrica? The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. If it worked well for you, then why try something else? Or did your doctor want you to stop taking it?

I just stop taking Levofloxacin when can I start taking prednisone again? ## Hello, Fran! How are you? Did your doctor instruct you not to take them together? They tend to potentiate each other, but that usually just means the dosing has to be carefully adjusted and the person should be monitored during treatment. Unless instructed otherwise, when they were prescribed, you should be able to pick up with the Prednisone. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne and weight gain.
