I was prescribed Librium for alcohol withdrawal but the pills do not work. There is only a simple "25" on the pill. Are they placebos? ## Librium isn't a very powerful benzo, albeit the first one ever created. Based on the fact that they do come in 25mg capsules they are probably real. If you're going through alcohol withdrawal it's not going to be pleasant.. even WITH Librium. It's probably still working in the background of your mind and nervous system, preventing convulsions and helping tremors, although you may not realize it. Call your doctor and ask if you can get Ativan instead. It's stronger. I'm a recovering alcoholic and have been through detox several times. This is not xanax, it is just a regular anti depressant which will not take care of your xanax withdrawal. And yes, the feelings you are having is detox ... it's the same way I feel when I don't have my xanax. I do not have any pictures to post for you, due to copyright reasons and, since it is also available as a generic, there are far too many of those to list the description and markings of all of them. What would happen if the pill were cut in half or quartered and only a half were taken? ## Hello, Terry! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Aurobindo Pharma and they list it as containing 1mg of Alprazolam in an extended release formulation. You should never cut, crush or break a time released tablet, doing say could result in your getting too much of the medication, at once, and could result in overdose. The FDA classifies this medication as a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. My probation officer is treating me disrespectful and saying my tests are positive. Could someone please tell me if Ativan can cause glazing look in the eyes? ## Absolutely, it is a Benzodiapine, the same drug class as Xanax or Valium. It tends to cause an initial spaciness in people who have not adjusted to taking the med, or have recently experienced a dosage change. These type of side effects usually wear off in about 2 weeks, give or take a few days to account for a person's individual body chemistry and the way it may process a medication. It is a small capsule dark green on one end and white on other end. It has what appears to be C-615, or it could be E615. ## this pill is small, dark green on one end and white on the other end, on the white end it has the letter E followed by the number 615 (E615) maybe it is a C615. It may even be slightly yellowish instead of being white. The E looks like a C with a slash in the center of it. that is why it kinda looks like an E. ## The marking is intended to be a stylized E following by 615, it is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as containing 50mgs of Hydroxyzine, which is used to treat allergic reactions, and for its sedative like effects. Hello, I am writing because I am in a relatively desperate situation. A tragedy has happened in my family and for the past 3 months I have needed to take sedative medications in order to cope and function. I was living in Eastern Europe, and the doctors prescribed me a combination of Rivotril (clonazepam) (I believe it is called Klonopin in the US) and Amobarbital. The treatment regimen they recommended was to take 3 mg of Rivotril split into 3 1mg doses per day (1mg in the morning, 1mg in the afternoon, and 1mg in the evening). They told me that if I had an especially bad anxiety attack, particularly one where I could not sleep and was severely agitated, I should take an additional tablet of amobarbital (100mg). I've been told my Alprazolam 2mg aren't as good as other Xanax.. Someone told me they are the weakest 2mg xanax out there. Is this bs? He said the better one has XANAX on one side and what I have is s***. The xan G3722 don't do anything for me. I use it to sleep or if I have a panic attack. Since they don't work within 20-30min they do me no good. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just not working for me. I have been on n off the regular 2mg 17 years n never had n issue of them not working and yes they are from the pharmacy.
