I have a sister with a mental illness, who took serentil for years. It has been off the market for 6-7 years, she was never hospitalized when you was taking serentil. She has been on several medications by themselves and in conjunction with other drugs, and nothing seems to work well. She has been hospitalized at least 7 times since serentil was taken off the market. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or any knowledge about this drug or anything that might replace it. My wife was taken off Respidol and is showing signs of depression and shakes. ## Are you referring to the drug Risperdal, the antipsychotic? If so, then these are normal withdrawal effects.
