Can Serez 25mg a night eventually causes sleepless nights? My patient is taking it at night and she can't for the past 7months and she can't sleep at night anymore? ## Serez is listed as containing the active ingredient Quetiapine, which is an atypical antipsychotic that's used to treat various mental health issues, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. As far as side effects are concerned, has your patient mentioned if the sleeplessness was attributed to insomnia or some other side effect keeping her from getting a good night's rest? From what I could gather, "unusual dreams" happen to be one of many possible side effects that I find could alter one's sleep patterns. However, a more complete list of side effects can be found here: nlm.nih.gov/medlinepl...

Hi I am new this website. Hope someone can help me. I was diagnosed with Bipolar a year ago and took many medications (Effexor, Risperdal, Seroquel, etc.) to control it but they never seemed to work. Two days ago my psychiatrist put me on Zyprexa 2.5mg to help with my concentration. I feel no different on the Zyprexa (many people say it works fast), so I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to start working? Also, does anyone have any feedback about this med? Pro's only, no Con's (I know it is a weight gainer). I just want to get my life back! Thanks. ## Hi, Armand! Sorry about the difficulties you've been having. I am on Sizodon for over 2 years now. Was previously on haloperidol for 15 years. Prior to the treatment I wasn't a very active person mentally. I went into psychosis while I was a teen. I am 38 now. With the help of the medication I am able to function well. But would like to know if the long-term side effects will affect me later in life. I want to wean from the medicine but I am scared whether I will be able to function well. Please advise. ## Think of how you feel now and how your doing before you change anything. It is far better to think logically, function daily than be off of medicine and be in a completely different mind state. ## Thanks for the reply Careon. Is it good for anxiety attacks ## Did you mean to say Clozapine? I haven't come across any medications listed under the name Clotypin. Clozapine is in a class of medications called atypical antipsychotics. However it's only indicated for use in the treatment of symptoms associated with schizophrenia. Anxiety may be an off-label use, but since it doesn't list it as an indication I would probably still recommend contacting your doctor about using it for that specific purpose. - just to be on the safe side. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Clozapine Details I hope this info helps!
