Hi, one of my friends was prescribed Risnia drops for irritability in daily activities, high temper, aggressiveness, and social withdrawal. Will administering the dosage at irregular intervals impact his health? If yes, how would his health/mental condition be affected if a single dose in a day is missed? If he is not diagnosed correctly and given this medicine, how could it potentially influence his normal behavior? ## Risnia contains the active ingredient Risperidone, which is a very potent antipsychotic that's often used to treat issues such as the ones you've said he had. Learn more Risnia details here. If he's taking it regularly and misses a single dose, there most likely won't be a big problem, usually several would need to be missed, or the whole day would need t...

Seroquel? Large oval peach pill. Scored with L on one side and R on the other. ## Hello, Mike! Where did you find it? I can't find a listing for this in any of the prescription drug databases that I checked, so far. And the nature of that marking leads me to suspect that it is an over the counter product. Some of them are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

I am prescribed it for sleep and racing obsessive thoughts started 25 going to 50 should it help me ## Hi, Theresa! How are you? How long have you been taking it? It usually takes medications like this about 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full level of effectiveness in your body. That's usually about the same time you notice any side effects you're experiencing reach their peak in intensity and then start to taper off in severity. Learn more Seroquel details here. However, the only way to know if it will help you is by trying it for that time period to find out. Not all medications work for everyone that takes them. ## Since I posted that dose has been raised to 200 at night and she added risperdal 1 mg in the day and 2 Mgs at night I'm terrified to take this combo my dose of p...

My son is in a drug rehab program and he is random tested. He was told he was positive for benzodiazipine in his urine. Would any of the three medications above indicate those results? He swears he has not taken anything else. ## benzodiazepines are mostly psychotropic and sleep inducing drugs; similar to the drugs you have listed. i am not familiar with Galapentin, however Olazapine & Sertraline have similar characteristics to benzodiazepine type drugs. If he is in a treatment program, it is likely they have put him on some sort of antidepressents to help him get better. Maybe that is why it showed. I would speak with his counselor. ## The Benzodiazepine class of drugs includes medications like Xanax and Ativan. Gabapentin. Olanzapine and Sertraline are not related to this drug cla...

does it cause weight gain and what does it help for, can you use it long term and what is the required dosage ## Hi taryn, Based on my research, Etomine contains the active ingredient Clotiapine, which is an antipsychotic medication. From what I've read, weight gain does not appear to be listed as a side effect of Clotiapine. However there isn't a whole lot of information available on this drug, so I may not have even seen a full list of possible side effects. As far as dosing is concerned, the usual adult dose ranges from 10-200 mgs daily in divided doses; and up to 360 mgs/day in severe cases. If this happens to be a drug you're interested in trying, I would suggest talking with your doctor about the potential duration of treatment, as well as any other precautions that yo...

I take seroquel to help me sleep and imitrex for migraine. My knees have swollen and are painful. A couple of years ago I was on Celexa and imitrex. The same knee swelling developed and progressed to multi-system shut down. I wonder if anyone else experienced a serious adverse effect from the interaction of tryptans and psychopharmacology combination? ## Hi, Turtle! Sorry about the problem that you're having. I've done some searching, but not finding anything on this type of interaction, however, there is really no way of knowing how anyone is going to react to any given medication combination. Did your doctor have any idea why it happened to you? Did they definitely relate it to the medications? Though it isn't a common side effect, the Seroquel can cause edema in some peop...

My doctor just prescribed Navane for me, but I do not have Schizophrenia. I have major depression disorder. I am worried about taking it. ## Most psychotropic medications have multiple uses and doctors may prescribe them according to what they've learned they help with from experience with other patients. If you're really worried about taking it, then by all means, contact your doctor to talk about it. They can help you understand its risks and benefits, so you can make the most informed decision possible. Does anyone have experience with this medication that they can share?

Risperidone makes me sleep deep for a while but the big problem is the sweating that comes with that sleep. I have been on this for Years for sleep. Is there anything else out there that tune off the brain so I can sleep. Just sleepless so no other need for the medication. ## Has this been occurring the entire time you've been taking it, or has it just started recently? If it has just started recently, but you've been taking it for years, then it may not be related to the Risperidone. Are you on any other medications? Have you had any other unusual symptoms? And what else have you tried to treat your sleep issues? Have you ever tried the supplement Melatonin?

I am using BetaCap TR 40 along with Betavert and Flupenthixol Hydrochloride for past one month. It gave some kind of relief to me. Now all of a sudden Flupenthixol Hydrochloride is banned in India.
