Why did my dr prescribe urbanol for me and I find I need to take 6 5mg pills to help me feel a difference.... ## Urbanol contains the active ingredient Clobazam, a Benzodiazepine derivative, which is commonly used to treat conditions such as anxiety and nervous disorders. If your doctor is aware that you suffer from anxiety or any such condition, then I can only assume that this is why your doctor prescribed it to you; but to really know for sure, you'd have to ask him why. i am experiencing extreme sedation on three seperate doses of 100 mg phenytoin sodium ext daily . should i try 2 doses for a while to limit the sedation. i have nocturnal seizures. should 200 mg be sufficient ## Have you consulted your doctor? They would be the best person to advise you on such a matter and it is never advisable to change your dosage, without speaking to your physician first. How long have you been taking it?

I have been on topamax for almost 3 years to prevent migraine. I am in my 50's, and on other medications, including deptran and atenolol. At first my side affects were quite severe, so I had to stay on the initial dose of 25mg at night for a few weeks. The main side effects were - word finding difficulties, dry mouth, taste loss, loss of food cravings, and alcohol intolerance, and some tingling and numbness in feet and hands at times. But my headaches stopped, they had been debilitating for a very long time, so I was going to persevere with the side effects. After about 18months or so, I have had breakthrough headache/migraine, and my weight has gone up. My cravings are back, for food and alcohol. I went to a neurologist and had an EEG with a temporal lead done and it came out abnormal. The reason I had gone there is because I have been experiencing episodes of dizzy spells and lightheaded ness without actually fainting and at times pain in the face/ mild headaches and at times tingling sensations. In one or two of the episodes I would also temporarily get disoriented. Whenever these episodes happened and they would last anything from a few minutes to about 15-20 min I would always get better by standing and walking about and also drinking lots and lots of water. My doctors have at times thought it was cardiac related and or inner ear relatedbut my tests in that were quite n normal. Can you take LAMICTAL, AND TOPAMAX FOR SEIZURES, COULD I STILL USE PHENTERMINE ? ## Phentermine is actually contraindicated with any type of brain disorder, or injury. Therefore, if you suffer from a disorder that causes seizures, it is probably not advisable that you take it. Pls suggest product names for methylcobalamin tablets in India that can be got over the counter without prescription. For various reasons I suffer from Spinal Stenosis, Herniated Disc in Cervical area of spine, also suffered a broken tailbone. I suffer from terrible nerve pain in my pelvic area, neck, down my legs and spine. My dr. has recently put me on 50mg fentayl patch. I also take Gabapintin. These still are only controling about 59% of my pain and if I do something to aggravate my injuries I sometimes get screaming pain. A friend recommended Methadone in conjunction with what I'm taking. I have taken Oxycontin, Oxycodone in high doses so my tolerance is very high. Can anyone tell me if adding Methodone to my other meds would help and if it could be risky--as far as overdosing etc..? ## I doubt that Methadone will help you, since the Fentanyl that you are already using is far stronger than Met...

My doctor diagnosed me with osteoartitis this week. He prescribed Treipiline 10mg, one tablet at night time, as well as Neurontin 100mg. According to what I am reading on the internet it is depression and epilepsy medication. Will it give me pain relieve at all? ## Yes, the Tripiline contains Amitriptyline, which is a tricyclic antidepressant and Neurontin is an antiseizure medication, but they have both also been proven effective at helping with certain types of nerve pain. I started with 100 MG and now I'm up to 300mg twice a day for a total of 600mg per day. Still having outbursts and some mood swings of sorts...I'm not bipolar but I have a sort of flip switch that could be triggered by many things...This causes my temper to rise up. ## How long have you been on the current dosage? I am on mmt and I take neurontin and xanax, i just failed a ua for having more klonipin than xanax in my system. I have not been on klonopin in several years. Is there anything that could have caused this to happen? I'm in alot of trouble for this and am very upset. ## Xanax is indicated to test positive for Benzodiazepines. And since Xanax and Klonopin belong to the same drug class (benzodiazepines) and are similar medications, it would make sense that Xanax is the cause for the false positive result. False positives are just another term for a mistake made by the testing facility (it's their secret way of putting the blame on you rather than them). Has Lacosamide / Harkoseride been offered in the past using a different drug base, and at a lower price? ## No, from what I'm finding, Lacosamide wasn't even submitted for drug approval until May of 2007 and was approved in the UK in 2008. Are there any other questions or comments?

Hi. I am currently taking lamictal and zoloft to treat my bipolar disorder. I also have irritable bowel syndrome, and so have been prescribed Duspatalin Retard. I want to know if this drug interacts with any of the 2 drugs I am recently on. Thanks. ## Have you asked your doctor, or pharmacist? I did try to check, but I have to apologize, Dusptalin Retard contains the active ingredient Mebeverine and it isn't available in the U.S, so I can't find any interaction information on it. Your doctor, or pharmacist, however, should be able to advise you.
