Im suffering from slip disc & right knee pain. Recently Doctor has prescribed GABAPENTIN 300mg pill one per day to be taken only at night. Two hours after taking, I felt very dizzy, drowsy & nausea an it continues for the next 24 hours. Feel very sleepy and cant concentrate on my work. Should I continue or stop? This cream is used for pain as an anti-inflammatory. The common name is Reme-DHP (alt sp. D-HP). It is compounded by my Pharmacist as a cream/lotion and I think it contains: Topiramate Celecoxib 200mg Gabapentin Duloxetine 60mg Lidoderm (Lidocaine) Ethyl Alcohol 190 proof I was wondering if it is also marketed under any other names? ## Hi Karen, thanks for sharing these details. My son experiences anxiety and chronic pain, the pain is a result of nerve damage and muscle atrophy. He experienced severe gastric reflux when taking both Setraline and Gabapentin. He has been taking the Sertraline since December 2010 and the Gabapentin was started in March 2011. He had some symptoms of reflux but not nearly to the extent he did, while taking the two togehter. Pain clinic would like him to continue taking the Gabapentin - my thought was to stop the Sertraline and just go with the Gabapentin at 600mg to treat both the anxiety and pain. Use Gabapentin to get off benzos. Go thru the methadone clinic to detox off methadone... I've done both and it works. ## Really?. How much methadone were you on...for how long were you on it and how many milagrams a week did they decrease your dose?

I have been taking 400 mg phenytoin for the past 5 years plus due to having two grand mal seizures. I have been dealing with a horrific skin problem (itch that never resolves, easy bruising and now have pruitis nodularis due to the severe itching). I have seen my GP, a dermatologist as well as a gastrointologist. I have had every blood test, ultrasounds a MRI and even a liver biopsy trying to cause the source of my itch. Every test has been normal. My neurologist doesn't seem to think it is caused from the phenytoin. I have read where it can cause some to itch uncontrollably. It has pretty much taken hold of my life and day to day activities are almost impossible. Anyone else out there with similar symptoms? And what would should I be doing moving forward? ## Wow, Pat! I have tested positive for benzos. I took one valium seven weeks ago. I am prescribed gabapentin, tramadol, prozac, elavil, lisinipril and synthroid daily. Could the intereaction of these meds in particular the gabapentin and tramadol be the reason why I tested positive for benzos or could it be that valium I took almost 2 months ago? I do weigh 250 pounds I am a mom (belly fat) but I do work out. HELP! I need to get my drivers license restored. ## No just the prozac and elevil mite. What is the difference between (1)levetiraceta and (2)levetiracetam? My husband is taking (1), but found a bottle (2) in his drawer and can't remember where they came from. I have no idea.about either. I have been taking this medicine for the last 9 months. Whenever my dose is increased above 100mg i am facing body aches. Please advise. ## It is normal to experience side effects when your dosage is raised, because your body has to adjust to the new amount of the medication. Body aches and muscle cramps are both normal side effects of the medication, you may also experience nausea, abdominal pain and back pain. I just want to make sure what I am taking because I only found one of my pills left and it broke in half item 1/2 and says the number 31 it's a white oblong pill ## I found a similar sounding half of a pill in my teenage daughter's room. Will I fail a 12 panel drug test by taking gabapentin? Also what does gabapentin show up as on a 12 panel drug screen? ## If I drink a gallon of water will I be able to pass a test for drug court? I took 3 600mg tablets of gabapentin yesterday at 4:30pm and have to test the next day at 1:30. Will I pass this 12 panel test? They may send it to a lab, so will i be able to pass the urine test and lab test?

I started taking Gabapentin 300mg x 3 daily on May 13,015 for severe shingles pain in my ear, mouth and face. June 16,2015 I began having memory lapses not walking straight as well as anxiety. My doctor told me to go off cold turkey. I was to be taking tylenol for the pain as it was not as severe. I also take .5 mg Lorazepam for anxiety up to 2 times per day as needed for my copd depression. I also take .25 Zoloft once daily. I had forgotten to take my Zoloft for three days last week. Now I am having nausea all day long as well as feeling like just crawling in bed. I also have hot flashes. I now do not know which one I am having WD from? I've been prescribed the generic version of Topamax... The mfg. is zydus, but I'm afraid to take them after reading a lot of bad reviews... Hi. I'm 34. I had a brAin stroke due to AVM hemmoraging last year . I got gamma knife surgery done but it takes three years for gamma to work(80percent chance that it will work. If it doesn't then I'll have to get gamma done again ). Anyway I've been on Keppra twice a day ever since (500mg twice a day). Recently I've started noticing that I feel stressed all the time . Like I have to do something very important . I get easily irritated and I can't control my emotions . I feel claustrophobic and overly burdened . The doctor mentioned that often after gamma some chemical is released in the brain that causes such symptoms n it only disappears once it completes it's cycle . He has given me meds for that .
