what is the shelf life of amoxicillin 45 ## These contain 500mgs of Amoxicillin and, if they have been dispensed in a pharmacy bottle, then the normal shelf life is 1 year from when you had it filled. After that year, they start to lose effectiveness. If they are in the original factory sealed container, their shelf life may be longer. i took a pencillin along with a loratab 5 and i had a really bad reaction to it like dizziness and nause is that suppose to happen when i combine the both? ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Penicillin VK and Lortab. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. There is however an interaction with Penicillin VK and food. The guidelines note that certain penicillins may exhibit reduced gastrointestinal absorption in the presence of food. I took this twice in a row at 2:00. Is that okay? Also, is it okay to take one tomorrow morning and then 1 at night? ## Hi Mary, I just took a look at the dosing guidelines for this medication, and it states that Nitrofurantoin monohydrate/macrocrystals capsulesÂshould be taken with food every 12 hours for seven days. Because of that strict 12 hour gap in between doses, I definitely wouldn't say it is ok to take them back to back like that. Schedule your doses so that you take 1 in the morning when you get up and one a couple hours before you go to bed (giving yourself enough time to leave you with 12 hours before the following morning dose). I am on Erythromycin 100s twice per day from my doc. My roommate, has a tooth ache or ear ache or something and wants to take one to "give his immune system a boost" he claims. I Don't think just taking one will do that much good, and it might do harm. I really don't know. Should I give him one? ## You are correct, it really isn't going to help and, since it will not be enough to clear up an infection, if one is present, it creates the risk of the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria, which could lead to serious health issues. Your roommate should see his own doctor, or dentist and get proper treatment for whatever is causing the problem. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a bad toohe infection under of one of my molars should i be taking 1, 500 mg Ciprfloxacin will it help? I also take methodone 30 mg will that interfere? Can Using Amox K Clav 500 Mg 2 tablets 2 x a day for 5 days all of a sudden give you a fever of 101 on the 5th day of using it? ## A fever can be a side effect of this antibiotic in some people that take it, or it could also be from the infection you're being treated for, with the medication. It generally does take several days for side effects to show up, as the medication accumulates in your body. Has it improved any? If not, please contact your doctor, as it may not be working and the infection may be worsening.

Oval blue pill with 100 on one side and nothing on the other. ## Based on the description provided, this pill isn't listed in the prescription drug databases, so I can't find any information on it. The closest match found is oval and blue, but has the imprint "5100" instead of just "100". It has been identified as Penetrex (200 Mg). If this does not fit your description after double checking the imprint, then it is going to be difficult to determine what this tablet contains unless you would pay to have it lab tested somewhere. Does Nitrofurantoin monohydrate treat a urinary staph infection. It seems that it's more for treatment of ecoli. I tested positive for leukocytes and neg. for nitrates. Is this the right medication? ## Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections, but you are right in that this medication is more for fighting E.coli. Information I gathered states that Nitrofurantoin is only clinically proven for use against E. coli or Staph. saprophyticus. I was prescribed sulfamethoazole-TMP DS T. It went to different pharmacy than I usually use and the price exceptionally for a sulfa-base drug. How close together can theses drops be used the day before catarac surgery ## Because every surgeon has their own unique set of rules to follow before and after the operation it would be best to schedule an appointment with the surgeon to ask him directly. When you schedule a consultation prior to the surgery, remind them to discuss medications that you may or may not take, any prescriptions and how to use them, and how to prepare for the day of your surgery. Additionally, the surgeon usually gives the patient a list of pre and post operative care instructions to follow before going in. These instructions include what you should and should not be taking prior to and after the surgery. If you did not receive this I would ask them well before going in. I hope this helps!

I was told to take 2 a day for 10 days. But i cant seem to handle taking them. Everytime I take it I throw up. Could it be that it is to strong? If so can i just take half a tablet or one a day instead of two? Wil it be as affective? ## Have you consulted your doctor? You may need to try a different medication.
