I FOUND THIS RED AND GRAY CAPSULE, AND WRITTEN ON BOTH HALVES OF THIS CAPSULE IS, AMPI 500. I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT THIS TYPE OF PILL IS, WHAT THE USE FOR THE PILL, AND THE SIDE EFFECTS, IF POSSIBLE. i'm having stomach pains,can't eat ,cold,headachs ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim, the active ingredients in Bactrim, is an antibiotic and it has been known to cause those types of side effects, however, some could also be due to the infection that is being treated. Have you consulted your doctor? If these issues are that severe, you may need to try a different medication.

I don't know if it is a "cure" per say, as I've read a review from another user stating that he was given Ampicillin and that seemed to clear it up well; but also noted that it came back 15 years later. I think it largely depends on what the condition is that you are giving it to an infant for? I personally don't think that any infant should take a prescription drug. But none-the-less, there are certain precautions against mother's that are taking this who are breastfeeding their child, due to Ampicillin being excreted in the milk. Because of this precaution, I don't think it would be any different than the child directly taking it themselves, and should probably be treated in the same manner as a breastfeeding woman. can i use Sulfamethoxazole Tmp Susp for sore throat an coughing ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic, so it will not help with a sore throat and cough that has been caused by a cold, or flu virus. It doesn't treat those symptoms and will only help if there is an infection present. Have you consulted your doctor?

My best friend recently found out she had an std most likely gonorrhea she wanted to know if penicillin would clear it up completely ? ## Has she consulted her doctor? She should really do so to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. It isn't good to try to play a guessing game on what it is and self-treat. Yes, if it is an STD, there are many that Penicillin can clear up, but if isn't, then it may just make the problem worse.

Took a dose 1/21/2011. Started getting hives 2/15/2011, and continue to get them weekly. From what I have seen on the internet, I would say I have angioedema. I am on a anti-histamine regimen, with poor results. Is it possible that the ZMAX is causing this? ## Are you still taking the Zmax? If the patient is being treeated for hypertension should she take this medication? ## Has the patients doctor advised them that the medication is necessary? Also, what other medications are they taking? Doxycycline is an antibiotic that is used to treat, or prevent infections. If their doctor approves, then they should take it, because the ramifications and health risks of leaving an infection untreated can be far more severe than the risks of using the medication. However, this does not apply if it is contraindicated with other health conditions, or other medications.

Because Cefdinir is also a antibiotc, wii it work just as well as Sulfameth tmp ds tabs. ## It really depends on what type of infection is being treated. Sometimes doctors choose one antibiotic over another, because they know has been proven more effective at treating certain infections. For instance, while it is a broad spectrum antibiotic of the Cephalosporin class, Cefdinir has been proven most effective at treat infections of ear, sinus, throat and skin. Thus, your doctor may not want to prescribe it for a urinary tract infection. hello i am having a lot of difficulties after being in the hospital for cellulitis was put on gentamicin 3 days after i have ringing in ear now i am completly deaf anyone with similar symptom my body feel like thre are ants all over and feel just terrible ## Should always mention the you age/sex and what kind of cellulitis . High dose drugs often weakens our body. Proper diet , vitamins and supplements can help you . antibiotic that is related to minocycline but starts with a "s" Is used for acne and is expensive. ## That would be something in the Tetracycline class, but I am not finding anything that begins with an S.
