I've checked to see if it is available on line but haven't had any luck. It may be most helpful to check with your local pharmacy to see if they carry it. I feel like i constantly need to yawn, as if i am not getting enough air with my normal breaths. This has been going on after the 4th pill, although I am not sure if it is related to Baxtrim. I recently quit smoking so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have been on amox-clav for 7 days and a few days ago my tongue got sore is this normal. ## Hi Diane, Does your tongue also get a bit swollen as a result of the soreness? After taking a look at some of the side effects for this drug, I do believe it can cause your tongue to be sore: "Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking amoxicillin / clavulanate: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat." After a 9 month course of IV Amikacin, I have lost almost all of my ability to hear. I was not only not alerted of this risk by my physician, I was told by him that my amikacin was not causing my gradual hearing loss. Finally, when my hearing was permanently & profoundly lost, they admitted the amikacin was the cause and immediately removed me from this medication.
