I'm looking for Sufacol Power in the White Plains, NY area. Can someone help? ## Hi Pierre, I am not sure where you can obtain Sulfacol powder (Sulfadiazine) in your area. I've checked to see if it is available on line but haven't had any luck. It may be most helpful to check with your local pharmacy to see if they carry it. It would require a prescription however, and you'd have to see a doctor regardless of the situation. Maybe you can ask him if he's heard of it during your appointment? I feel like i constantly need to yawn, as if i am not getting enough air with my normal breaths. This has been going on after the 4th pill, although I am not sure if it is related to Baxtrim. I recently quit smoking so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. Having to take deep breaths and force myself to yawn is very uncomfortable. ## It's difficult to say, but I really wouldn't be surprised if it is due to the Bactrim, since it is a sulfa based antibiotic and is well known to cause very odd side effects in some people that take it. I need too things, I have pentrexy (Ampicillin) is the same as Azithromycin? If not what the big differences. Do they kill bacteria ## Hi Debbie, Your first question asks whether or not Ampicillin is good to take for a bacterial infection. The answer is yes, as all antibiotics are made for this specific purpose. To answer your second question, no, Ampicillin and Azithromycin are two different types of antibiotics. Namely, each one may be better or worse for certain types of infections. These factors are also influenced by how well each patient responds to their treatment; whereas it may well work for some people and just not as effectively for others, due to allergies, side effects or what-have-you. I have been on amox-clav for 7 days and a few days ago my tongue got sore is this normal. ## Hi Diane, Does your tongue also get a bit swollen as a result of the soreness? After taking a look at some of the side effects for this drug, I do believe it can cause your tongue to be sore: "Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking amoxicillin / clavulanate: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat." After a 9 month course of IV Amikacin, I have lost almost all of my ability to hear. I was not only not alerted of this risk by my physician, I was told by him that my amikacin was not causing my gradual hearing loss. Finally, when my hearing was permanently & profoundly lost, they admitted the amikacin was the cause and immediately removed me from this medication. Is it ok to take immodium to counteract the diarrhea side effect of Amox Tr K Clv 875-125? I am taking it for a sinus infection and diarrhea seems to be the only side effect I'm having trouble with. ## I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between the two, but you should double check this information to be sure. got aoxacillin 500 mg in japon 2011 Nov will they expire now in 2013 ## Hi Dee - there should be an expiration date on the original prescription container. Antibiotics such as Amoxicillin may last for up to 2 years when properly stored, but I would recommend getting a new prescription filled if you need to take them now. could this medication cause double vision? ## Hi Peg, Are you referring to Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium? From what I could gather, double vision isn't a side effect of this combination. However, medications effect everyone differently so if you weren't experiencing the double vision prior to taking Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium it's possible that it could be the culprit. can i take clarithromycin and trimothopin these courses alongside each ather for urine and chest infection ## I didn't find any interactions listed between the two antibiotics and, in many cases, multiple antibiotics are prescribed to try to get severe or multiple types of infections under control.
