Bad reaction to amoxicillin - Doc put wife on Bactrim? About day 6 of 10 day cycle she is experiencing chills, fever (102.5) no energy, achy, butter fly rash on cheeks. She is medically retired with Lupus.. Friends say go to hospital because fever is up and down... were waiting till Monday to see our physician. Flu? reaction to prescription, concercend husband! ## It could be either or, but I'd be giving strong suspicion to the Bactrim, if it were me. If You have a sinus infection can drops be used in nose ## Since it's not formulated to be used in the nasal cavity, I wouldn't suggest doing so, when you do that, you do end up swallowing some of the substance you squirt/spray in and there may be an inactive ingredient in this that shouldn't be ingested. Learn more sinusitis details here. For a sinus infection, you should see your doctor for an appropriate antibiotic. How long have you been having the symptoms of it?

I have an lung/chest infection and 18 tablets of sulfameth/trimeth 800/160 800-160 is this a sufficient supply to begin to use this drug. ## Did you end up taking them? That would be enough to almost do a complete course, which would usually be 2 a day for 10 days, so 20 tablets, but you shouldn't take them unless a doctor has told you to and the presence of an infection has been confirmed. Learn more Bactrim details here.

Hi, can i use prednisone after i used ic ciprofloxacin hcl 500 mg for 10 days? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between these two drugs. So as long as you're not taking the two drugs together, then in my opinion you should be fine. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using ciprofloxacin together with prednisone can increase the risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture. This may be more likely to occur in older adults over 60 years of age or those who have received a kidney, heart, and/or lung transplant. If I want to take a few drinks while on this medication, should I skip a dose just this one time? I have a wedding to go to. I was given this medication to treat pneumonia. ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, the active ingredients in Augmentin, is an antibiotic. And drinking while taking it may cause worsening of the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. The way I usually explain it is by saying consider one drink to be the same as having 2 and so on. No you shouldn't skip a dose, but you do need to be careful and let someone else do the driving. Can I use ibilex 500 as antibiotic for bee or wasp sting. Swallen foot ## Hi jimmy, It sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to the sting. An antibiotic probably won't work unless there is an infection. Have you tried applying calamine lotion or any antihistamine creams? If you're interested in a natural alternative, applying calendula cream to the stung area may be able to reduce swelling and itching. Calendula also has antiseptic properties, so it could possibly help to prevent an infection. I hope this helps!

Was prescribed sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 for infection in thumb. Was to take it for 10 days but on 8 day developed an itchy rash - should I continue to take it. I am not allergic to any medications. Can I take benadryl to help? ## No, once you get the itchy rash from this it means that most likely you are allergic to it and things will only get worse if you continue taking it and there is the risk of your developing much more dangerous reactions. Learn more Bactrim details here. Benadryl may help in the meantime, until it starts to clear up, if it's safe for you to take it. And taken the pill form. My question why am I still itching? And I take Rx on time ## What did the ER doctor say caused the bumps and itching? Bactrim is an antibiotic and it is commonly used to prevent or treat infections. However, if the bumps, stinging and itching were caused by an allergic reaction to something, then this will not treat that. In addition, it can cause a non-allergic skin rash as a side effect. ## I just came from the Dr regarding the Sulfameth. .took it 3 days ago and i got all these tiny bumps all over me!! my skin got blotchy.. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Ask your doctor before using methotrexate and sulfamethoxazole. This can increase the methotrexate levels in your body.
