I've had a bad month with flu and a sinus infection. I'm somewhat immune compromised as I take immuran for Crohn's Disease. I was prescribed doxycycline, and then azithromycin, with no relief from the sinusitis. My doc put me on a 3 week course of levaquin 750mg. The levaquin has been helping my sinusitis, but I've been developing some troubling side effects. First side effect was gastritis with nausea. As I have Crohn's, I know how to deal with gastritis, but none of my usual strategies were working. Finally just did some pretty big doses of liquid gaviscom, which did help. Then, night before last, I started with some really horrible skin crawls. Full bore, ants crawling under my skin feeling, and nothing helped. I was truly losing my mind with it. Scalding hot bath...

They may help, since they are broad spectrum antibiotics, but it would be best to see your dentist and have them suggest the best antibiotic to take. However, an antibiotic will not help with whatever issue has caused the infection, such as a cavity, impacted tooth, or etc. So, you will still need to see your dentist to have the problem corrected. Hi. 2 weeks ago, dentist prescribed Amoxicillin prior to having an abscessed molar removed and synthetic bone graft with stitches. After extraction, he gave me Zithromax for 5 days. When I returned to have stitches removed, I still had the infection...so dentist prescribed Clindamycin 250 mg, x4 a day, for 7 days. I am on day 1. I took macrobid for a UTI. On the last day I thought I had the flu. Chills, fever, exhaustion, a little nausea and a little pain. The second day of the flu I went to the doctor, and noticed I had a rash developing on my legs. We thought the rash was unrelated to the flu. Two days later the rash is very severe, with purplish spots and climbing up my body. The doctor said he did not advise any steroids but now I'm a little worried. They made an appointment for me for with a dermatologist four days from now but I'm afraid I'll be permanently disfigured by then. Also my ears are ringing. Should I go to an urgent care center? I have a staph skin infection, rashes all over my body and I went to see my doctor, she prescribed me sulfameth trimethoprim 800/160mg. I have been taking this antibiotic for four days now and the rashes seem to pronounce a bit more. I sm on this drug for acute bronchitis this morning I woke up with my right hand shaking uncontrollably, could it be this drug? ## I took myself off the antibiotic and the other tablets my doctor had me on and the hand shaking stopped, as did the dizzy spells and nauseousness. I will let nature take its course and heal me, with out any medication.

I have been alone for almost 2yrs. I slept with someone a week and a half ago and now i believe I have gotten gonorrhea from them. I have ampicillin 500mg. does anyone know if you can drink alcohol while taking cefuroxime? ## The reason you are warned not to drink while taking Cefuroxime is because it can aggravate the side effects. It could cause them to be more severe, you may get bad bouts of nausea, drowsiness and dizziness. If you drink a lot and/or you are driving, this can cause a severe and dangerous problem.
