I have BV and dont wanna go to doctors when I already know what it is. I have had it before. I am just wondering if Naproxen Sodium can be used to treat the BV. Since BV is not an infection and just an inflammation I figured maybe it could help. ## Hi Brittany, If BV is an inflammation and not an infection, I would definitely see that Naproxen would be a good choice over other types of prescription drugs. It happens to be one of the few drugs out there without a bad reputation. One article I've come across however, does regard BV to be a type of infection. "Bacterial vaginosis typically features a reduction in the number of the normal hydrogen peroxide-producing lactobacilli in the vagina. Simultaneously, there is an increase in concentration of other types of bacteria, especial...

Non-steriod, anti-inflammatory tablets (such as Ibuprophen) make me sick. My Rheumatologist gave me a sample tube of Valteran Gel 1% for bursitis in my hip. I was amazed at how well it worked. Unfortunately I've used all the sample. I asked for a prescription which she faxed to my pharmacy. The pharmacy did not have it and said they don't know when they'll get more. I live in a small town and was told none of the pharmacies have had any for a couple of months. I would like to know how I can find a pharmacy that does have this drug so I can have a prescription for Valteran Gel 1% sent to that pharmacy. I'm on Medicare and it does not pay for Valteran, but I need it so badly I'm willing to pay for it myself. If you know a pharmacy that has this drug or know how I can f...

I was prescribed decadron to take for 5 days. I am drug screened every week and need to know if this drug will give a positive result on a 10 panel test? ## Dexamethasone (decadron) can be detected in tests if it is something the lab is looking for. But if you were prescribed the medication then you have nothing to worry about. Just present the prescription prior to your drug screening, so they can keep it on file or at least take note of it and expect it to show up. I would only be concerned if this was not your prescription, but as you stated, it is.
