My doctor in Brazil told me to tale Nimesulida, but I forgot it there. I arrived 2 data ago in Los Angeles and I'm in pain. Is there any medicine with Nimesulida that I can buy over-the-counter in a CVS or other pharmacy? ## No, I'm sorry, it isn't. It isn't even available in the U.S. by prescription, due to the severe risk of liver toxicity that is associated with it. Have you tried seeing a doctor here to find an alternative medication?

My mother-in-law, age 63 has been prescribed HCQS 400 twice daily and medrol 4 mg daily for kikuchi's disease(autoimmune disease) and/or rheumatoid arthritis. The Dr. said this medication would continue all her life. 1. is it required for such a long duration? 2. what are the side-effects?

i sometimes get confused with my prednisone pills i am taking both 1mg and 10mg and they are both close very close in apperance and size. can i coat them by put some chocolate powder sugar so i can eliminate taking the wrong dose? what do you recommend. ## Have you asked your pharmacist for ideas? I'd think that anything that marked them, without making them damp, so they'd start to dissolve would be fine. You'd also want to avoid something that would make them stick together, so I do have concerns about the sugar, because it could sometimes do that. I wonder if a good coloring pen, would work, since it would be something that you could use to mark them, without making them really wet? I know that everybody has different reactions to drugs, but I have to ask if what my daughter is going through is similar to anyone else's experience. My daughter is 4 years old and has been diagnosed with minimal change nephrotic syndrome. She is currently halfway through a 12 week cycle of prednisone. Of course her face is swollen. We expected that. Her appetite has increased. We expected that. The thing that is concerning to me is that she has seemed kind of down and "mopey" for the past couple of days. She made the comment that she is having trouble putting her shoes on because her belly gets in the way. Could it be that her weight gain is causing her to be depressed? Does a 4 year old even think like that? This medicine seems to have changed her a lot, and I cannot wait...

I have trouble telling the difference between my 25 mg tablet of metoprolo by Ranbaxy and my 5 mg tablet of prednisone by West-Ward. How can I easily tell the difference when in my pill case? ## Take a closer look at the imprints on them, the imprints are on the tablets and usually placed on most prescriptions labels, as well. The 25mg Metoprolol from Ranbaxy should have the marking RE 79 on it. The 5mg Prednisone has the marking WEST-WARD 475. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just because you're taking generics doesn't mean that you cannot ask for the same generic company for your meds. Perhaps you could ask your doc to Rx both meds from the same generic company. The Metropolol and the pred 5 from Ranbaxy (for example) do not look alike.

It is manufactured by Akyma Pharmaceuticals. I was able to verify this on a number of websites as well, so you can be rest assured it is just that. Will Voltran show up in a urine drug screen? If so, how long will it take to clear my system? ## Did you mean Voltaren? If so no, it contains the active ingredient Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and such substances aren't included in standard drug testing.

can i take arthrotec if i am alergic to sulfas ## Hi ron, I have found no reports stating that Arthrotec contains sulfa. This medication is a combination of an ulcer protective agent called misoprostol and the NSAID diclofenac; neither of which contain sulfa nor carry any contraindications to use in patients allergic to sulfa(s). can u take aleve-d and citalopram together?? ## Aleve-D contains Naproxen and Pseudoephedrine and the Naproxen is actually listed as possibly increasing the risk of bleeding, if it is taken with the Citalopram, so you should check with your doctor, before taking it. My mom age 55 is suspected Interstitial Lung Disease, and doctor prescribed the medicine Defcort 30 - once daily after breakfast. My question is that - Is the medicine be perfectly OK for cure the patient ? ## What you need to understand is that, by their very nature, most conditions that are considered diseases, do not have cures. It is only the symptoms that can be managed to help keep them under control. That said, Defcort contains the active ingredient Deflazacort, which is a steroid class medication that's used an an anti-inflammatory and to suppress the immune system. Have you spoken to her doctor about your concerns?

Both are NSAIDS but are there any advantages to taking one over the other with regard to long term use? i.e. kidney damage or other long term effects. ## Not really, both the Naproxen in the Aleve and the Ibuprofen in the Advil carry the same types of possible risks and benefits. What you really have to decide on is which one works best for you and if your doctor says it is safe for you to use such a medication. However, you do generally need to take less of the Naproxen than you do of the Ibuprofen to get the same effects. Are there any other questions?

I am a 56 year old male, I take an 82 mg asprin and 5 mg amlodipine for blood pressure dailey. I take fish olil capsels most days and about 5 mg of a genaric cialis a few days ago. I was prescribed two 75 mg dicolfenac-dr a day as an anti-inflamator. After 5 to 7 days I have pain in my kidney area, sever in certain possitions , especially laying down.
